"Looks like we’re going to be a little late in releasing the batches and perhaps the first episodes of the summer 2021 anime I tried to fix a problem with the hosting server from several days ago, and it was caused by the database of the site, but it seems that I will need to program a new site to distribute the load in a better way. Unfortunately I will have to abandon the database of the current site because the database structure is severely damaged due to some updates and changes made to the site over the years, and also the size of the database is very large and it is annoying to try to recover anything from it, especially since there are many data interconnected with each other. So, we may close the site in the coming days to install the new site instead. Thank you for your patience and understanding"
What are the recent big ones (I mean the ones that are hugely popular in China)? JapTV hasn't picked any up for aages, I think Hitori no Shita was the lasst one they redubbed in Japanese?
and like so many others before me I humbly ask you to continue resist all suggestions to update the website - animetosho is brilliant as it is, the design is so quirky and simple that it is very refreshing (and kinda cool too in a retro way)
Sorry I don't quite follow. It looks like they're there for at least most entries, and checking a few random links, they seem to work. Do you have a problematic example?
Chinese anime is fast on the rise but doesn't seem to be nearly as well seeded(especially older releases) so it would be nice if these could be added as well. I'd guess alot of these don't have their own pages yet?
Just to note, the new gg host looks to have the same issue with double Content-Disposition with commas. Firefox works fine, others error out. probably worth applying the same fix as previously.
In the near future there will be a huge number of anime NFTs. And that's good for hard-working creators, fans and even freeloaders here on AT 😉 😎 And also (good) fansubbers and seeders can be supported and get donated in BTT and thus we can have better subs and longer-lasting torrents.
God bless Satoshi Nakamoto 😇
Keep up the good work, AT :) 👌
PS Don't forget that the possibilities are endless!
Mirrorace is a greedy site (Lot of ads), bypassing the encryption of the links, can be up to 5 pages and 2 captcha. Not recommended this site. Despite using a lot of ads, upload rate is so low, most of them fail to upload.
I have a good replacement as well but can't guarantee 100% for it: https://pixeldrain.com/ so far they seem fast, no captcha also very friendly API https://pixeldrain.com/api . Was able to upload to it via curl no problem. Can't say what large volumes will do to the site but imo it's worth a shot.
As you somewhat imply, I don't see that as being an issue in the near future. I also think trying to predict beyond the near future is mostly a futile exercise, so I think the current position is fine for now. Should that change, the situation can be evaluated when that occurs. I think the current domain is sufficient. I don't intend to engage in a whack-a-mole game against potential blockades, and I believe there are plenty of existing workarounds available (from proxies to VPNs).
hi, i would like to suggest a new host, it could be a good replacement for dl.free.fr https://send.cm no account is required but as a free registered member most of the restrictions are removed: -no daily upload limit and unlimited storage -max 5gb per file -files are deleted after 30 days of inactivity -downloading is easy, no capchas, speed is very good (but i have to admit my connection is only 16mbit)
The less someone knows, the more they think that. Eventually we'll all probably be limited to commercial services. Thankfully, they're much better than they used to be.
I'm thinking the future is a webtorrent add-on to your mainstream browser and a vpn. The isp then won't know the contents of your session (encryption), the sites you're connecting to (vpn), or that you're running an application other than a standard browser (webtorrent).
Some isp's have been put on the hook for what their customers do, so this is probably the future.
Some isp's are already banning the use of torrent clients even though they don't know what you're downloading, and Microsoft security has a setting which quietly un-installs torrent clients without asking. Some countries are banning the use of a vpn and that's probably going to be impossible to work around.
The other solution is a seedbox, provided you can isolate it from any connection to you with a vpn and a payment method that can't be traced back to you.
I don't think hosting services are quite done yet, tbh, but you make a good point, and there has always been talk of a truly free unstoppable, unbannable P2P powered internet.
Being prepared is good, but don't worry fren, since day one the powers that be have been intent in removing all vestiges of fun from the internet, but they have never and will never prevail. As long as there is anime, that anime will be released - anon will find a way.
Admin-sans, hosting services come and go, but if we're ever in the situation were there is no suitable hosts (however unlikely that might sound right now) you really need to sort a DDL for all tomodachis here, I'm sure many of us here will be more than happy to chip in for server costs. Also might be an idea to plan for domain name alts if the .org address gets banned in some countries. Many of us have used this site for more years than we care to remember, and will be happy to donate funds. I'm sure the admins already know about all this but theres bound to be plenty nerds here that would be hacksperts in that kinda thing that'd want to help out with that kinda thing too.
