Hey all, I messed up.
I was scraping comments at a slow pace but it seems the server can't handle it.

To the AT admin, please contact me at the email linked to my profile. Thanks.

Is this just a guess or is this what happened?
If that's what happened likely one of these (follow a guide) script kiddies that got pissed off after one of the very frequent comment arguments here. Leave it at that.

I found the mirror site through search when the main site was down. Read through faqs years ago. Never noticed mirror site before search.

Google "Animetosho down". Second link. Mirror site is not as hidden as you might like.

Recently TorrentFreak discussed how more countries are creating national blacklists so local ISPs have to block chosen websites, maybe like this one.

In the AT FAQ you are given a last hope link to a mirror site, but AT does not make it an easy link for bots to harvest, as the helpful person above did.

If this site or any of it's features are things you don't want to lose, refer people to the FAQ and leave it at that.  The intelligence of how AT does things won't save it from bot scans and careless user comments.

Maybe some users are blocked already and we wouldn't know.

They should be up to date already.  But they typically post by timestamp, so you may have to look back over the last few days to find them.  The AT mirror site was updating and posting during the main site shutdown.  If you didn't know about the alternate site, read the AT About/FAQ at the link in the left column of the home page, and make note of the mirror's address.  Once we're down, it's too late to read the FAQ.

If you see something missing, leave a note.

Warning: We might go down again.

Holy crap curl accesible api with that kind of retention, filesize and bandwidth, there must be a catch to this. Lol maybe like anonfiles and peejeeshare they will just poke their head up for a few months then disappear in a puff of smoke. Who here remembers those?

IDs aren't same for many series since they stopped auto fetching data from MAL, they often combine shows. TVDB also follows their own rules.

AniDB have MAL, ANN, Wiki links already. just learn to use it.

It also includes ANN, TVDB and Wiki (en) as well as AniDB and MAL , when there are articles available.

nice design
I like how easy it is to go to mal and anidb from the download page.
Is it possible to add kitsu and ANILIST links under a series page?
for ANILIST, the anime ID is the same as MAL I think.

According to the AT FAQ, there is no such thing as whatever it is you are referring to.

However, if I were to design something, the links might not be available until about 3 weeks after posting.

Just going by commie releases, are direct links dead since January 1st 2019? Also, direct links on some old releases seems to point to dead UptoBox url instead, for some weird reason.

I don't have any reason to expect it would be better, but you could try the Openload link under Jheberg instead of the stand-alone link, if you liked.  Maybe they have to conform to better behavior to be under a multi-uploader.

Well, I didn't look into this javascript desert in detail, but I can confirm, there are redirects to openload.pw depending on adblock detection state and client's useragent (maybe more dependencies). Might be some temporary anti adblock strategy (until block lists are updated), or whatever.
As some ad providers on openload are truly in the malvertising department, the alert isn't surprising for me.
I recommend DL services, that have the final DL link embedded straight in the landing page itself (like ZippyShare, Solidfiles, free).

Google "Openload virus" or "Openload.co virus" to get your answers. Lots of info.
Ive Never had problems with Openload virus messages with Total Security. Maybe you need better protection?

Openload has a death-rattle.  Try ZippyShare instead.
