Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I don't have a better solution for you, but if it helps, you can download the files table from here and search for the ED2K hash, grab the corresponding file ID (first number) and visit the page by prepending the ID with https://animetosho.org/file/
You can also try using AniDB's ED2K import tool to find the relevant file, then you can search for the filename (assuming here that you have an ED2K hash + size but no filename).
Thanks for the suggestion. As mentioned above, this is actually happening, though the way it's currently implemented, it can take quite some time (usually hours) for deletions to get mirrored across. I do intend to eventually improve the process to make it faster.
Servers don't generally use dynamic IPs so you can't just get a new IP that way. There are ways to get around IP blocks, but I don't really want to do that, mostly because it can become a game of whack-a-mole which I don't really want to be a part of.
So I've just decided to leave it up to third parties (multi-uploaders) to deal with instead. Hopefully the end result is mostly the same :)
Could it please be made possible to search by ed2k+filesize? Given that this info is stored already anyway, it would be great to be able to find downloads by this
If the idea is to re-check and see if a torrent has been deleted after AT has processed it, we already do that. We do auto-update checks on changes in torrent status including deletions or category changes. The entry here is then auto-deleted.
ive been using the site for ages and it is amazing, I only use nyaa when there are no links on AT, but at is nicer for me and some nyaa domains are blocked in my country, also when you use nyaa, i noticed a link was posted to nyaa.eu, that site is fake. sign up and log in dont work. nyaa.si is the official version as of now
Unless you are suggesting a report button that rings our cellphones, I don't think it would add anything to just leaving us a note on the page in question or in feedback.
1. This is a hobby site, not a commercial one. 24 hour turn around on fixing anything is not unusual at a hobby site, and I think we do better than many.
2. The person who is doing these pranks is looking for a reaction. The correct response is boredom. Report the problem on the page or in Feedback, then ignore it. Don't feed the beast.
3. There is no way to automatically prevent these problems that I am aware of.
AT Filter: One option that might work out for some people is to use the filter function you can see at the top of the AT homepage. Select to display "Trusted/A+ Only", then hit Apply. Then you won't see any anonymously submitted torrent downloads.
No, instead I think you should shut AT down. Clearly there are some fragile people here who should be returned to Cartoon Network. They probably even think their internet access fees pay you a salary!
So thanks for everything admin. It was a great run and lots of fun. But no reason to put up with whiny bullshit.*
*(The idea that bulls shit will probably upset them as well.)
Thanks. MultiUp seems fine for now, also for parted files.

"They've blocked us"..is solidfiles crew lurking round here??are they anti-anime or what.tis is not cool solidfiles.is server's IP got ban or somethin?just reset the server router n u get new ip(like dowload mega.nz).u cant block us solidfiles.we just wan our pirated anime in ddl.especially in solidfiles!! (」°ロ°)」
They've blocked us it seems, and I can't think of why they'd ever want to remove the block. I just ran a simple test (uploading 1MB file via server's IP) and they're still rejecting uploads. Unfortunately, I can't do much about it.
I've enabled Solidfiles on both MultiUp and Go4Up, so hopefully you'll still get them for most files going forward.
I could make an RSS for the Latest Comments page (none exists at the moment). Reply notifications won't really work so well if everyone comments anonymously (also the comment system here is really basic).
Is there RSS feed for Latest Comments? or notification comment got reply?

The best way to fix this is to get it assigned to the right category, then it will be auto-fetched. You can accomplish this by contacting the torrent author (if possible) and having them make the change, or leave a note on Nyaa asking for the correction.

Ha, I saw this at the top of the comments section, so what the hell I'll join in; Admin, you and all from the 'tosho fucking rule the internetz, no joke. I cannot be arsed with torrent so these consistantly reliable DD links are a Godsend.
I've had to disable Solidfiles unfortunately. It looks like they've blocked the server from uploading. It's a little odd though, as all uploads return a HTTP 500 response (which typically indicates a broken server, not a blocked request).
