How many of you mfrs going to see the new Demon Slayer movie in theaters? Airs a few places early and everywhere on Sept 12 in the U.S. I havent decided yet. If I go not sure if I want to go locally or drive 25 miles to see it in Imax. Prices are a bitch though these days for tickets unless you go all the time and get a movie pass.

Thanks for the response, that's good to know.
Yeah I'm interested only in the `.ass` files. A one-off of the `.xz` files would help a lot, but if increasing the scraping rate is not an issue I think I should be able to manage by myself without bothering you, especially since the worst case is still "only" 138GB even when counting files that are not subtitles.
When I start scraping I'll include the repo link and contact info in the User-Agent header just in case.
Also, once I have the incremental downloads working I'd like to upload to Nyaa from time to time, in case someone else also wants to use this data.
I didn't notice anything unusual around the time you posted this - would you be able to clarify further, for example did new entries appear on the home page but no links were generated?
I don't mind scraping anything here, as long as you're not too aggressive with it. One request per minute sounds very conservative - going faster shouldn't be an issue.
If you're going after attachments, I suggest targeting the .xz files, as there won't be duplication there (the .7z packages are just the .xz files joined together).
I don't know if you're after the subtitle text only, or the fonts/chapters etc as well. I could create a one-off batch of the .xz files. You'd obviously have to deal with updates subsequent to that. At time of writing, all .xz files total 138GB. If you only want subtitle text, the size would be much less than that.

I have a question. There's already a page with AnimeTosho database dumps, and it has a lot of useful metadata.
But if I want to make a search engine (open source) for anime subtitles, am I allowed to use the subtitle attachment files from Anime Tosho?
While you make it easy to download the subtitle files, I'm reluctant to just start doing it because that would be nasty on the server bandwidth. Even if I limit downloads to something like 1 request per minute, it would probably take several months at least (I'm just eyeballing here, haven't even done the math), so incremental updates would probably only be realistic after an initial bulk import.
So that's why I'm not sure if this use case is allowed at all. And I'm asking here because I couldn't find the answer about this in the FAQ or the dbexport page.
If it *is* allowed, is there a better way to do an initial bulk download of the attachment files that doesn't put too much strain on the Anime Tosho servers? E.g. a torrent, an Internet Archive link, etc (I couldn't find either with a quick search).
If bulk downloads like this are *not* allowed, would it be possible to mention that in the FAQ or the dbexport page?
Are registered accounts totaly out of the question for security reseaons/mass deletion?
No, but I prefer anonymous uploads.
I personally don't really believe in "unlimited storage", which I find typically means "an undisclosed storage limit" (same with "never deleted" promises).
You are right. Sorry, for spamming the feedback area with this bs. Are registered accounts totaly out of the question for security reseaons/mass deletion? A registered account on datanodes.to has unlimited storage compared to the free tier (while both are non deletion). Still I am not sure about them. If they DMCA hard, it's not worth it. I will keep my eyes open for alternatives.
You still got the guts to reply after making yourself a clown with your comments? Calling me angry for calling you out for you false accusations and defending myself/trying to reasoning with you paranoid psycho, man you are a pitiful person for not recognizing your own mistake and stopping this bullshit. I am still waiting for your file hoster suggestions. If you want to talk some more, come to the animetosho Discord server.
You think I work for Akirabox when I suggest Vikingfile, datanotes and pixeldrain as alterantives to Akirabox? You must be out of your mind. I just want good file hosters that keep the files as long as possible. I don't care if it Akirabox or any other hoster as long as this goal is reached. Take your pills man. Go on and suggest any other file hosters that have a non deletion policy (and offer free deals+ are used on warez sites).
Do you think I work for Akirabox or what? I just filled in the first name that came to my mind.
But I am the same opion as you. Uploading to Akirabox doesn't really offer any big benefit if it's used with a "visitor" account. That's why I recommeded the free premum deal eather from akirabox or vikingfile/ (datanodes) to have the files for as long as possible. Websites like gamedrive.org use them and it seems to work fine.
Was it removed for copyright reasons or did it not even last 30 days? If you removed it for copyright reasons You shouldn't be offering this crappy hosting.
You added cloudflare pages, indicating your hosting is indeed bad.
I have one question and a suggestion: Are the files uploaded from a Akirabox premium account (their free premium deal) and therefore the files will be not deleted? My suggestion is to include 2 more file hosters with a non deletion policy. The first one would be Viikingfiles. Acording to the owner of gamedrive, after asking them directy they offered him a free premium deal. The other file hoster is datanodes.to. The files their will not be deleted even without a premium account. Maybe Pixeldrain is also a good alternative but the files wil eventaully get deleted.
Blame Crunchyroll. They just laid off a bunch of staff and ended up firing all the people who are responsible for getting episodes up on time, so they've been having to scramble to get stuff up.
And you can't ignore the opportunity to troll. I noticed that you even go to the effort of switching VPN/proxy endpoints in your quest to samefag. How cute. I certainly applaud the effort, though it worries me that you can't find anything more productive to do.
I'm not really well versed in this however I believe mpv uses libplacebo (which can also be used in vapoursynth) for tonemapping. I'd honestly reach out to the JET guys for proper advice on this.
Thanks for pointing that out. HDR/DV isn't really handled in screenshots. If you have any pointers on how to do it, you can find the screenshot renderer code here. Otherwise I'll have to find time to try research on what to do.
Anyone know if Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra is getting a dub? Only info I can find is that is was going to release a dub shortly after sub started airing... but that hasn't happened.
