Subtitles sometimes show up in the screenshots, but they usually don't unfortunately. Seems to be a limitation of seeking and subtitle rendering. (I've actually thought about removing them completely, seeing as they rarely show up anyway, as it may allow some interesting ideas of doing raw I-frame extractions)
Fixed timestamps don't really work as files can be of different length. If the files happen to have similar length, the screenshots will generally be around the same time (subject to I-frame alignment) as the script uses the length of the video to determine where to take the screenshots.
Thanks. It wouldn't really work because it's quite tightly integrated with everything else unfortunately. Though see above comment - would switching to another host improve things?
Changing it to Mega is fairly trivial. I've found the MultiUpload direct link to work fairly well, but I guess they don't last long. Any other host suggestion or recommendation, or people who want to stick with MultiUpload?
I've thought about handling subtitle extractions differently though, which could make things nicer. More of a future improvement however.

you guys need to start encrypting your page links...theres too many bots out there that are auto-deleting the files..put them behind a captcha or something...
Please include subtitles inside the screenshots. And set script to take all screenshots at predefined time frame, like so: All Naruto Shippuden Episodes at 01:15, 10:15, 15:15, 20:15
really great site :) would it be possible to publish the mkv-extracting script? after a few weeks the extracts on multiupload are often down at the moment I am using a tentative bash-script ..
Hi admin, Is it possible to use MEGA, ge.tt, or some nicer hosts for subtitles and attachments? Current hosts (BitShare, DepositFiles, UploadToBox, etc. from MultiUpload) have quite low retention, plus wait time and capcha. It's annoying because the files are very small. Thanks,
There are other anime sites you can download from but some only host on sites that give you horrible download speeds tho.
Sharebeast links only last 30 days after each download that's if it doesn't get removed before then due to DMCA takedown requests.
Just like other sites have limited hosting unless that person is premium even then the links aren't guarantee to stay there cause of DMCA and what not.
why ShaRBEasT links go down? any other links too you must protect the links pls there r like 7 or 8 anime I want to download but the links are DOWN thank you for you work, kewl~
1. Theoretically yes, assuming you can come up with a good rule for it. Rather complicates the processing though. It's probably easier and more efficient just to change how scheduling works than to come up with some forced batch processing. Current scheduling is pretty decent in my opinion, all things considered.
2. Probably not. It's somewhat all over the shop, and very setup/configuration dependent and wouldn't really be useful to anyone else anyway, especially since I definitely won't support it.
Let's say the site fetches a huge batch torrent, i.e. 10 GiB with 25 episodes, isn't it possible to first download and mirror the first 5 episodes, then create a new entry for the next 5 episodes, and so on until the whole batch is mirrored?
And I have another question: The script mentioned in the FAQ that does this whole job, is it possible to publish it under a free license (GPL maybe)?
I finally created an account just so I could officially say that I love you. Oh and nice new style. I really like this website over any other because it doesn't have any BS images of animes next to the name of the name to download. Each episode here gets straight to the point of having download links on the front page using Torrent and Magnet, and also websites that do not easily take down uploads like Anonfiles, (I wish they would accept bigger files for 1080p and movies, but it's still really helpful), Mega, and I think Chauthanh. Thank you for this website, not only for the animes but also because you pay to keep this website online out of your own pocket. There is probably more I want to say but I can't remember atm x_x . <3
Anime-sharing looks like a nice place for requests (and also a large amount of torrents across all categories). I've never used Otakucop, but from what I can tell, you just put in a link request which then gets manually approved? Seems similar to how requests are handled here really...?
Anime-sharing provides DDL for just about all torrents, actually. Maybe people are picky because of the sites they choose to upload to though?
Rudeness aside, this person might be getting at how some appear to be taking advantage of AT. As in using it as a personal leeching service. Some of the 50+GB torrents seem to be asking for a bit much. A lot of stuff ends up on a-s, warezbb, etc.
Otakucop seems to have a really good system in place that can't really be abused.
