I was afraid that you were going to leave us, as AT was "going to shit" or something along those lines. Now I know that I had nothing to fear - phew! In fact, I'm rather flattered that you love AT so much as to go to the effort of using a proxy to get through!
Well, seeing as this crisis has been averted, it looks like I can go back to ignoring comments.
I never said you owe me a thing once, there are plenty of other rude users who you haven't mentioned(why not mention them?), and lastly you normally just ignore people unless they kiss your ass or help with the latest fixes to your script bugs or crappy server problems. STFU and go suck it yourself you ignorant bitch.
Any proof i posted it? Thought not. I was just stating that your system and upload rules on the faq are wrong. Maybe you should edit them before throwing a temper tantrum at me for mentioning it. I like how you take notice now how bandwidth is at stake. But couldn't care less about bullying of john rhogan, constant abusive comments by mini-theater users, and more things you ignored.
I thought it was you posting that junk, but I thought I'd double-check. Since when was AT your personal torrent fetching service? If you can push ~140GB of files in a single day, go pay for your own fucking server. I'm not spending my hard earned just so you can dick around however you please.
* Claims to be going to another site * Comes back to complain
* Complains about "rude or abusive users" * Posts rude comments
I could go on, but the hypocrisy is already killing me.
But seriously, I don't owe you shit and quite frankly, I don't give a rats about your opinion. This website isn't designed specifically for you, so suck it. I usually try to be nice to people, but you can just GTFO for all I care.
I said forget it because of your lax attitude towards spam, trolling, etc and know you will not do anything about rude or abusive users. Let the site go to shit and ignore the requests if you don't care.
That your server/fetching is crap and skipped all those HQ BD rips despite you stating otherwise https://animetosho.org/about .Is that easy enough to understand?
Thank you for making that clear. You have just given me more than enough reason to report your links and get them taken down quickly. :) Please look forward to it. xP
Never mind , i will find a site that has mods and a user base that are controlled to an extent . You are willing to do neither or create a spam free alternative.
Any good one for Firefox that you can recommend that will just let me block all the comments and just view the links. Also a guide on using it and modifying it. Thanks . PS: Not reading it is not an option since i always check comments for link updates from tibb or yogicat.
No, I won't be pushing for this, and never really had it in mind. You don't have to read comments if you don't want to - we don't flash them in front of your eyes or do anything in particular to grab your attention. If you feel the compulsive need to hide them, use a browser extension to do that.
There was a glitch in the duplicate detection code which marked anything that was posted to both TT and Nyaa as a duplicate of itself. It shouldn't happen any more, but I'll need to go and fix the entries that it messed up.
Any news on a bare-bones no comments (and just dl links) site mirror. I am a bit tired of reading the same....push this please, lying cunt, abuse of system, and other such comments every time i visit the site. I appreciate your efforts, but sometimes the users sound like pre pubescent kids and it is getting very annoying. Thanks.
Maybe, maybe not. It was posted to the anime categories of both Nyaa and TokyoTosho, but the submitter has posted a lot more stuff, so you'd think he'd know better if it were a mistake.
Either case, the new system should automatically hide these after a while. It's already done it to the one above.
it seems turbobit blocks any upload on it !!!, that's so bad for me since I used to keep download from it, now I will move to netload, plz keep upping on it
Looks like all the links for free episodes (especially dead fish) are being removed, also the pages claim they are duplicates of the same page, which means you can't see any comments for them like tibbs ddl links (davvas ones don't get removed like most of the rest)
Is your CPU really that slow? Even a 6 year old Q6600 or Phenom X4 is pretty good at encoding. Even with an older AthlonX2 or laptop Core2 you could probably get real time (~24fps) encoding for 480p content using x264 medium/fast presets. Even if it's 5-7 hours, I'd probably just leave it running overnight, but I do suppose it's less convenient than a simple server fetch...
I thought bandwidth over usage might be the reason that the files where being skipped and that donations would allow for a better server with less upload restrictions. Sorry if i sounded rude in the comment towards you.
i am on free one. no way i will be paying for it. :) a new pc will be always better option ^^ i got free bandwidth by referring to friends which is fairly easy it encodes whole Movie in just 1 hour or less so i kept using it for fun. :) on my current pc it would be 5-7 hours. i use libx264 which is H.264 AVC and i custom set all available encoding parameters to get away with good quality using CRF. quality looks pretty good on standard CRT Monitors, LCDs and mobile phone. no problems so far. although not sure how bad quality will look on True HD Monitors and HDTV. seriously i should just buy new pc so i can do even better quality encoding but damn it i can't ;_;
That's something I haven't seen before. From what I can gather, it's basically a web interface for ffmpeg? (When I meant FTP access, I actually meant to the encoding server itself, which is different from fetching files via FTP)
I just used their quick test and it didn't give many options - perhaps free/paid tiers give these.
Are you paying for this though? From looking at their pricing page, the free tier doesn't give you much. Price goes up fairly steep after that. Considering that you can get a fully dedicated server with a good CPU for around €30 - €40 (around US$40 - $53 at time of writing) per month, the value in the higher plans seem to thin out for most people.
Thanks for the pointer though - I can see where you're coming from now.
Most English content is not being pushed thorough TT . Add a donate button if you can not afford the site or fix the crap you did to break the parsing system.
>No it's not, but the Indonesian faggots keep uploading their shitty stuff in the English category on purpose, then changing it afterwards. They're just sad penniless peasants who can't afford their own servers for uploading, so choose to exploit a site like this.
Seconding this, but, instead of "can't afford their own servers", all of that faggots just doesn't want to spend their money for it. I did search all over google for the price of a server, i think they should be able to bought it -_-
>they're (their) shitty country probably only has slow internet, which doesn't compare to the internet available in real countries like the US, UK, Sweden, France, etc.
Yeah, it's slow as fuck. Don't compare it with those big countries, even compared to another third world countries our connection speed are very very slower (I don't know if it's the slowest or not but, yes, it very slow). The corrupt government combined with greedy Internet provider are the core of our internet problem.
>you should pity the poor fools.
Nai, poor people in our country doesn't even know how to turn on a computer. I think that faggot just fool.
yes it is web interface only and i can select encoding parameters. it can also encode in CRF and 2-pass :) it has FTP, HTTP, Rackspace, Amazon S3, Azure, Dropbox, Aspera and at last PC Upload :) encoding.com
Interesting. How do you interact with the server? Is it basically a web interface only, where you can fetch a file then encode it? Can you select encoding parameters and the like? Do you get any form of FTP or SSH access?
I've never actually seen 'encoding only' servers before, so I'm interested. Which host provides these services? Thanks.
it doesn't offer that unfortunately. server only for encoding purpose :( its ok if entire file upload on Mega only possible in the future. thanks for reply :) i am waiting for upcoming Index Movie Endymion no Kiseki 720p from UTW and was hoping to get single Mega link for it :)
So why can't you remote upload all the parts and join them on the server? Just curious.
The splitting is somewhat aimed mitigating the issues with unreliable hosts/connections (if an upload dies, only that part needs to be re-attempted, as opposed to the entire file) and I'm not sure how well the script handles large parts, thanks to certain 32-bit limitations. The script probably could use some fixing anyway, so I suppose it may be doable in the distant future...
Thanks for most of the above comments about this. I've put in a bit of a simple heuristic which hopefully is enough to discourage the behaviour (will have to see how it turns out). I'm not too fussed about the bandwidth usage (thanks for the concern) as long as people don't blatantly abuse it in the future. Okay, bandwidth is the reason why only one category is fetched, but if the behaviour stops, then it doesn't really matter that much.
Does anyone know why the sudden influx of non-English translated torrents? Because it doesn't appear to be just one group...
I've accepted that there'd be fakes, viruses, people using this as a torrent to DDL service or deliberate/accidental mis-postings, so I generally don't mind it much as long as it isn't a big issue. And as we're a fairly small, not widely known, site, actions targeted explicitly to AT doesn't happen too often. To be honest, I really have more interesting things to tend to than to eradicate the site of stuff that probably shouldn't be here. But of course, if people decide to blatantly abuse the script, then they're essentially forcing me to block them.
I somewhat fear AT becoming more widely known - it basically is one way to invite abuse. Fortunately I've managed to keep us low key enough for a while.
hey dude.... i now you angry.... respect other country..... i'm from indonesia... it's not about my country it's about a fansub group.... using anon and flaming is the best thing u can do
@Admin: can you disable splitting for Mega? :) i mean don't do part1, part2 when uploading. upload mkv as it is as one Single Mega link.
this will allow me to generate Mega Premium Link from here > www.generatorlinkpremium.com for Anime Movies i can then remote upload file to my Encoding server in just few mins :) its not a problem downloading .001 & joining mkv. problem is when uploading mkv from my Computer. if i start uploading 2GB Movie from my Computer, it will take almost 3 days to complete upload :( only if connection doesn't break in middle of it which it usually does break every 4-6 hours. :( i live in crap country that can never offer decent internet connection anyway :(
if its ok with you, please upload on Mega without any parts :) Mega doesn't have upload file size limit.
