Yeah, some inactive ones get removed, but I have files that have been there for ages, and mine aren't even listed at big places like this. Half the DDLs here are removed almost as soon as they get listed :(
It seems encrypting the mediafire links did the trick. I can go to files up to 4 days ago and they are still there. Good thinking on that one. Let's just hope it stays that way.
I like speedyshare.com Their DLs are really fast and they have no storage limit for free users. Stores forever as long as they're downloaded within last 30 days
It's probably more like the Google "betas" where it's almost permanently in beta. The script isn't really that stable and missing some stuffs, but I don't know if it'll ever be complete, so we'll see.

I think the intention is to have a forum and some other stuff ,the site is good as it is imo and doesn't need it .Only thing that needs work is the layout as it looks a bit crappy ,and maybe the upload restrictions that are probably due to money issues on paying server costs and can't be helped without donations or something.
Sadly right now you have to sign-up to download the file cause the other day I uploaded something to there and it said I had to sign-up to download the file.
I appreciate your intentions but unfortunately I don't think this is a good idea for either of us. For me the service needs to have a certain level of reliability - something that has just started obviously hasn't been tested. In particular, it looks like you're on shared hosting - there's no way a $3-10/month hosting service would handle the load.
