Have downloaded twice using Mediafire link but it always give me error "The archive is either in unknown format or damaged". It is same whether the file is separated into parts or just one archive. Can you help me please where I did wrong when downloading?
Giving files randomized names may be a good idea for their longevity. However new style packing creates a slight inconvenience for jDownloader users as it treats the files as simple HJSplit parts but fails to automatically unpack the combined 7zip archive. I think a more popular choice like rar parts (e.g. *.partX.rar) would be more convenient for this as it is fully supported by jDownloader. It could use no compression (as gains for video are too small) or minimum compression (just to avoid bit pattern checks).
PeejeShare looks to be quite a reliable solution at the moment. Good download speed and I haven't run into a limit yet, but I want to ask has anyone here run into any download limit (apart from the filled-slot problem mentioned) on PeejeShare ?
Since the trial period got extended for the purpose of testing if there is any kind of limit, I find it quite strange no one is saying anything about that here :-? Just curious. But is it safe to assume that "silence" means "no limit", I wonder? :-?
uuh.. admin-san did you change the file to 7z on purpose? or some error occured? i just want to say that using 7z is pretty bother -__- and now MF using captcha... it's not like i can't watch it or i giving you bad reputation, but can you make it like before? or is it just my idiotic fault..? anyway, i'm really sory if i'm being rude i'm not too good in english, like always keep the hardword admin-san :D
Thanks is all i can offer but you have my deepest gratitude.

PeejeShare works very well for me. I tried to download the morning & evening. Not "all download slots..." messages at all (luck?). Bandwidth between 200-300 ko/s.
That file's up now - try redownloading (should only need to re-get part 2). I think a few others broke similarly, but should be fixed soon as I've re-pushed them through. If anyone identifies a broken archive, please do report it!
I tried to download several links from PeejeShare and i get this: All download slots for this file are currently filled. Please try again momentarily. Hope they allow more download slots since more people are using their service as of now.
I knew I should've done more error testing. I believe I've identified the issue. If you're comfortable with hex editing, you can fix the archive by changing the first byte in file_25742_(5a9f1eea).7z.002 from 0x04 to 0xbe - this fix will allow you to extract the file without error. Otherwise, wait for me to upload a fixed copy.
Tested out on a couple of files, Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka 720p using regular Firefox and no Download manager and got decent speeds of around 600Kbps with no waiting, Second test download Medaka Box 1080p using JDownloader, surprising not only did it download a 500mb+ file without restrictions or image verification, allowed multiple connections, and downloaded with speeds of 2MB.
If it stays like this, I'd say the service is better than all services i've used (payed and free) in recent months since the demise of MU. I'm surprised it allowed me to download 900MB in under half an hour no fuss.
Thanks for the additional setup for mediafire. Now links should last longer. However i tried to download this file: [Hadena] Kore wa Zombie Desu ka - Of the Dead - 09 [10bit][720p][5A9F1EEA].mkv via mediafire the archive extracted to a broken file (CRC fail).
PeejeShare has been good so far, download is quick and no waiting time, but it is not apparent if PeejeShare has daily limit or not. Having just downloaded a couple of files for testing, I can't really say for sure if there is one or not.
On another note, I've seen other sites using minus.com to host files. From what I can tell, minus is around as fast as PeejeShare and mediafire and also no waiting time. So it's pretty much direct link if you like. Just reporting, in case Admin wanna check that out :) Cheers.

How long do they store the files? Or do they get deleted after a week or so?
PeejeShare is over 20 times faster than BayFiles here based on a quick test (around Mediafire speed). Not sure if they have some DL limitations though. The performance may also go down a lot as it gets more widely known and used if they don't have sufficient capacity. But for now it looks like a good replacement from the DL side.
Updates broke for a short while. I presume it's fine now?

It seems that the ReCaptchas at Mediafire are back again. I still don't know why - checked it with multiple IPs and they all want a recaptcha (even if I just set JDownloader to one connection). Maybe it's time to swap the mediafire-accounts? I don't know.
Anyways keep up your good work as always dear admin-sama :)
I've thought about trying to scan external sites like that, but it's not too high on the priority list. Another issue is that changes in external sites may break the parser, which could require constant updating.
But thanks for the suggestion nonetheless!

"Latest Updates 23rd May 2012: The limitation on batch size has been increased from 1.5GB to 3GB. Note that this is experimental." @admin: Thanks a lot :)
Feature-request: Maybe you could add a link to otakucop.com for every file that's available there - they got some good high-speed DDL-links (seems to be direct links to one of their http-servers). [See https://animetosho.org/view/commie-kor...mkv.530543 the link in the comments - that's what I mean] =)
I think Mediafire just puts up CAPTCHAs when it thinks you may be a bot, or your IP is indicative of it (eg your IP requesting a lot of files in a short period of time, or is a known proxy etc). Hopefully I'm right.
I don't want to mess with filenames (although some hosts do it anyway), but people have requested searching by hash before. I've been thinking about revamping the search system with a fulltext indexer some time, but have to find the time to get around to it.
I never said anything about my gender, merely commenting on what you said from an (what I like to consider) objective standpoint. My identity must remain an absolute mystery - I'm sure you understand - to prevent the ninjas from finding me.
Thanks for the tip Altervis.
(I should be posting more as Anonymous)

[HorribleSubs] Saint Seiya Omega - 08 [1080p].mkv <= Mediafire says something about "Verify Download" and I have to type in a recaptcha. If I remember correctly the last time I had to type a captcha at Mediafire, the account here got suspended the next day or so... Maybe it's a bad sign again :( Hope it doesn't happen again.
One feature-request: Please make the search on this site compatible with CRC32-checksums so I can easily just type in the CRC32-checksum and find the file (even if the CRC32-checksum isn't noted in the filename). It would be even better if you could add the CRC32-checksum to every filename where it isn't already added (for example with the HorribleSubs-releases).
so.. y-you're woman? oops sory, a girl r-right..? uwaah.. i don't mind being beated up by you~~ hahaha.. don't worry about difficult thing, it's true arrogance can bring you success, but.. uuh.. how should i put it into words.. i think connection to others will be great help when you're in pinch (for me, usualy money and stuff... I use JDownloader and firefox with AdblockPlus+NoScript installed and properly configured. No problems here :) btw: Norton Internet Security is junk....go and install something else.
I usually just set JDownloader to collect all links i copy to the clipboard and that's exactly what I do - open up the download-site here, select source-code-view in firefox, copypaste the mediafire links, close the window and let JDownloader take care of the rest :)
Could be a number of issues, including ads that they serve (some cause malicious triggers) or perhaps adware or something else installed on your machine. Does this happen with Mediafire links elsewhere?
That's too bad. I watch Precure for the deep and mind-blowing storyline - so you needn't worry about the future of this planet's dominant life form. Of course, there are no verified females on the interwebs, but there certainly are heaps of unverified females. Verification is overrated anyway.
Sorry, but only a guy would give this answer. So the record remains intact of no verified females having used the Internet so far. That, and the number of PreCure series downloads around here should worry those concerned with the future of life on earth.
Now I'm off to watch the latest episode of Smile Precure --Not for the storyline, but for the pulsating intense-color induced seizures. Addictive, and very therapeutic as long as I don't swallow my tongue.
New: About every third MF link sets off Norton Internet Security intercept/block for a known malicious website warning on my pc. Using FDM (Free Download Manager) I get the link and download the file while my browser is blocked by Norton from landing on the malicious web page. Then I click the Norton button to not proceed to this web page.
If they're scanning here (very unlikely) or some agency is simply reporting new links posted here (somewhat doubtful as this website gets relatively low traffic) then unfortunately nothing can be done to prevent the account being suspended.
I'm looking into wrapping files into an archive, but as the upload script is fairly heavily optimised, I need to be able to write some sort of on-the-fly wrapper for it to work. I've been shifting code around the place lately to make it a bit easier to integrate, but this sort of thing will take a while to code. I'll have to resort to creating new accounts every so often for now.
A great bride may be... great, though one needs to have a great husband, otherwise it's somewhat wasted. I'd have to say that I would prefer to be a guy by your definition - being successful in anything sounds a lot more attractive and doesn't require marriage to make use of one's talents. ... Oh wait, this is an anime site, where girls prefer marriage and beating up perverted guys...
Thanks for the compliment and glad you like this place. (in reality though, often arrogance brings you success)
Thanks for the feedback. To be honest, I quite like the organisation of AnimeTake and similar sites, so it'll probably be here eventually. I don't quite like categorising stuff (and haven't been), though the auto-detection script seems to work reasonably well. I'm currently focusing on the back-end script though, so the front-end just needs to be workable at the moment.
Keeping links alive is really difficult to do unfortunately.
Sad news: Mediafire burnt up again and gives the "account suspended"-notice :'(
I think we need encrypted rar-part-files for uploading to mediafire (with encrypted filenames). I don't know if mediafire or someone else scans through this site here already, but somehow they are able to detect the files :(
@admin: You are awesome :) Keep up your good work :)!!!
admin-san.. i've checked few page around here, you're sooo polite, sooo reliable, and sooo kind.. if you're a girl i'm sure you've become a great bride, if you are a guy i'm sure you'll success in anything you worked on.. i'm really amazed you do very useful work for a slug like us, ugh.. if only slob like me will help -__- i still want to praise you, but i'm loss of word T^T anyway keep the hardwork admin-sama~ i'm sure other slug like me out there is saved by you with this site!!

hmm.. for me this is the most fast and good with mediafire download link :D, but it's true that it's pretty hard to keep track on this web. As for me, i usually check Anime*ake every day, it's have pretty good skin so you'll see what anime is recently out, but the links there are sucks, then i go to this site for download it. with that trick i'm the most fast-update anime in my school thanks for this site :D
anyway i think it's already good, i don't think you should change unnecessary things, just make sure the links aren't dead, and this site is perfect, cause you know.. after i missed it for few days, and all the links were dead T^T
it's good to be part on this site :D, keep the hard work guys!! XDXD
I'll probably eventually get to something of a listing of series, but I'd recommend the many existing sites out there, such as MAL, if you're looking to see what you want to watch. I don't intend to replicate those types of places here, so AT will never be as nice for that sort of purpose.
The main issue is bandwidth - I feel I'm using a little too much already. So I'll need to disable something to enable another host unfortunately.
Though I have been spending a fair bit of time recently trying to improve the upload scheduler/selection system to use less bandwidth, so maybe when I'm done, I can squeeze another host in.
Wow, looks like you've put a fair effort in that Blueberry!
Unfortunately I don't think I really have the time to really do anything there, so I'll let you manage the place. Thanks for all the hard work and support! :)
