You can either pay for IDM or since we are all pirates here anyway just download it and apply a patch it to get it for free. I used JD for years long ago but haven't in over a decade. IDM has been around for a long time too and its recommended for a reason.
Can it JUST grab the link as well? Although honestly I prefer the site giving me the URL one way or another so I can skip any downloads or additional software.
Yeah AnonFiles had pretty bad download speed, but it worked for me as I watched it while downloading, aka "streamed" it.
That's true, but a lot of them have moved onto Discord instead of actual websites with DDL.
I will say it is time to look for alternatives that provide similar services. I did find qiwi.gg which was quite similar, while going over some cs.rin.ru post and it was a smooth experience
download mangers allow you to avoid using your browser to visit ddl-sites at all, just copy links into your download manager. So I just tried ClickNUpload with my download manager and no captcha for me, just a 1mb/sec download. Sometimes it's 4mb/sec.
Anonfiles was .5mb/sec so not so great for me.
If you have certain groups you follow, you might see if they offer their own ddl and whether that's a better option for you.
CLickNUpload also seems to have a captcha, at least for me. And yeah most Chromium browsers just offer you the option to save and not copy the URL, which is what I want so I can paste it into my video player. The aforementioned seems to be the only site left where I can just do that now.
If you're just using your browser's simple single segment download facility all hosts might seem to suck. Internet Download Manager is an old favorite.
The only host that requires a captcha that I know of is mdiaload. Otherwise, performance varies across regions and users. You'll have to see what works for you.
Now that AnonFiles and Zippyshare are gone, is there any good no-bullshit file host left? Those were the only two you could just go on and click download, the rest have annoying verifications and way slower downloads.
I'd rather use Shiragiko but I think anything would be better than Charlotte which seems to be my default every time I open animetosho for some reason.
Just use stylish or other browser extension to backup the older dark-ish theme. This has been asked for years but it seems either the admin don't have time for that or have no interest in implementing that.
It certainly didn't break the internet since I'm still using it ;) However, I'm not sure about social media like Twitter, Instagram and TikTok as I don't know about them since I don't use them.

Odd, I've never seen that happen before. I thought the publishers didn't care that much about western sharing? At least not to the point of constantly sending DMCAs to some small file sharing sites.
It's currently listed as "Anime Tosho Scraper" under a suggestion for users having issues accessing this site. I might eventually redirect the old mirror domain to it, or something similar.

That said, you can probably do something like an all letter and number regex and then your not string.
