Hard task. Imo a better approach would be to only use trusted groups/encoders. Else you could also check on if there is information included - check for "Encoding settings" (maybe "writing application/library" could rarely be a hint too). So if you get very basic information output like f.e. this https://github.com/rigaya/NVEnc/issues/51 it, well basically still could mean a lot, but probably concludes someone not wanting/know-how/.... to do quality encodes. But a clear indication at all times from mediainfo that it was nvenc ... probably not possible.
When you are entering mini space, nvenc or not wouldn't matter. They aren't bad if given enough bitrate. If the program doesn't write metadata or wrong metadata then it will be impossible to figure out anyway, this isn't rare in minis.
I'm trying to figure out if there is any way from the media info of a file to check if the encoder used NVENC or not, as apparently NVENC is some bad juju for encode quality and size, although maybe that isn't true. (source: https://thewiki.moe/guides/quality )
As of right now my best guess is from the number of threads and numa pools being used in the encoder settings. I tried a web search and couldn't really come up with anything. Thought I'd try here before having to deal with reddit or doom9.
Finally stumbled on the Logistics overview (https://animetosho.org/about/logistics) after browsing over the News archive. Just wanted to take a second to say thank you for your 10+ years of dedication in time, skill and resources to this awesome mirror.
On your suggestion I'm looking into some of the remaining fan sub groups to show a little love to and also figuring out which studios/projects I want to support as well as an acknowledgement of the work you've put into the site! Thanks for all that you have done and continue to do!
P.S. That new(?) "Image Verification Passed" line after the captcha is also pretty nifty.
Unfortunately I don't maintain the server and haven't been notified of a new link, but I've managed to obtain one and updated the link. Is anyone able to confirm this new link works?
The site only updates every few minutes, so it's absolutely pointless to go below that really.
Otherwise, I generally leave the decision to users. Personally, I do ~30 minute intervals on feeds I subscribe to, but you may have good reasons for choosing a different interval. I don't like banning IPs and prefer throttling requests if possible, but if you're thinking about acceptable polling rates, you won't likely be close to being throttled.
It's the only torrent I found on the entire internet than contains all of the Crayon Shin-chan spin-offs, but the torrent has been dead for more than 4 months now :(
Ah, okay, there was still a special I did not find. A search on "Special: Eien no Rival" did not reveal anything to dl either. I do doubt no one has it anymore but probably special closed sources needed.
Ah no, it's actually this: https://yugipedia.com/wiki/Eternal_Riv..._and_Kaiba It's just a recap, so not at all important, but I wanted to have it since I'm a bit of a completionist haha. Thanks anyway for trying to help!
Am i correct in that it is https://animetosho.org/series/10963 ? May you'll get another version. Probably nothing as ddl anymore but some at least still have seeds. At least you'll also have the chance to get a better version ... 300mb for a 2h10 film is a bit off imo.
I'd hate for admin to have to waste much time on this
It's actually oddly satisfying to destroy something someone spent ~20 minutes doing, in a matter of seconds. Even better, they'll jump through any hoop you present them with. I just have to manage the difficulty such that they don't get scared away too quickly.
The value of comments to AT is mostly site operations, correcting errors, adds, and such. So purging all comments every 48 hours seems like a plan. Trolls can refill it every 48 hours for the rest of their lives if they want as long as it uses up lots of their time to do it.
Too bad if it has to be this way, but I'd hate for admin to have to waste much time on this.
