See if this helps: This series has a central thesis, which is that every character in it is somehow pathetic.  Rin and the glasses, for example.  But especially our "hero", the poster-boy for pathetic.  And by extension, you the viewer.

Very interesting outlook. I like it! From what I heard years ago the director of the series had a mental breakdown while making the series and that's why the story gets so f---ked up. Don't know if it's fact or rumor, but you going to Japan and doing what you said actually sort of fits.

I came.  I saw.  I do not understand what it all means.  

I know what happens.  And the ride was fun.  I can now answer any "what" question from Neon to here.  But the answers provide me with no real insights on what it means or where it's going or what a good ending could look like.  

Therefore, I predict the following ultimate end to this saga: He wakes up in a cold sweat.  It was all a dream.  Mom (guess who?) says he's going to be late for school.  And I go to Japan to kill everyone associated with this series.  I get away with it and feel much better.  Heh-heh-heh.  The End.

Most laptops can play HD now a days even the cheap ones, it`s depended on your video chipset & drive speed. And can we please stop the namecalling and rudeness. If someone wants to encode twice that is thier business and why should you care. Maybe they have a reason for doing so that we just don`t understand. John didn`t say anything rude to anyone and I can`t understand why everyone is being rude to him.

Also for the record, as any professional would know the two encoding is not killing the video since the second encoding is a scale down.

No there shouldn't be (1280X720) unless they crop the picture. This is a 2K motion picture scaled down to fit HD that`s why it`s 1920X816 scaled down from 2048X1556.

i think quotas is only for those who Generate trunkize links & quotas shouldn't be a problem
no matter how many people download from trunkize links :)

I'm not sure I follow what you're saying or asking.  So:
1. This packet is for those who are getting the video from a different source than utw-thora.  For example those who purchased the BD but want to use the utw translation.  There is a readme file in the zip that explains how to do this.
2. If you aren't seeing the subtitles in potplayer, begin playback of the video File and pause it.  Right click the mouse on the image and choose "Open" then choose "Open Subtitle File" then find the ass file for this movie (which I assume you already unzipped and placed in the same directory as the movie) and choose it.  The subs should then play when you unpause the movie.

Sorry if I didn't answer the right question.
