"The future everyone dreamed of, an ideal, peaceful age where science solves everything."  Vividred is about an ideal time when young girls kiss each other in order to become one flesh and unlock their hidden power.  The name "Vivid-Red" refers to their ultimate weapon which is yet to be fully revealed.  It will probably have something to do with menstruation.  

Earth's greatest scientist turns out to be a stuffed weasel, by the way.  The butts may be just a feign to the male audience.  Based on a manga written by a J_Rhogan, I believe, who also wrote Strike_Witches and sings male lead in the group Kalafina.

Also, some HDTV's have a "Screen Saver" function  in the Options.  If you have a plasma or are worried, check for it.  Better still, set a screen saver or blanking function on your laptop or pc.  And I believe some video players have screen saver options for when paused a certain length of time.

1. Unless you have plasma, should be ok.
2. If burn-in occurred, you  would need to go and buy a much larger and sharper and brighter HDTV for the same price you paid for your current one...

P.S. By "screen saver" I mean screen blanking and powering down rather than random bubble patterns and such.  It may be listed under power management.  My laptop blanks the screen and powers down the video after 15 minutes on pause, kicks back up on any key press or mouse movement.

But I guess screen savers wouldn't help if the problem was actually watching hours and hours of 4:3.

LCD were never very susceptible to "burn-ins" and you should be fine.
Plasma's (and apparently OLED) do have more of a concern, but with a modern TV you shouldn't have any problems.
If you do run into this leave the TV on for around 100hrs on some non-static image and it will probably it will go away.

This anime is about how some little girls (12-13ish I think) save the world in a Power Rangers fashion.

But mainly it is about the butts.

Wished they remaster it to fit new HDTV, viewing alot of 480p stuff will have an adverse effect on your HDTV's as there will be a after effect mark on the sides of the screen. Happen to a friend who has a plasma HDTV.
