i wasnt sure if it was on purpose or not : ) thanks for fixxing : )
Unlike yours, a userbase was very important in the project i was involved with and in the end it turned out well, not as popular as it could/should have been (and is) but i was happy in the end that i was involved in my own small way from an early stage. I would agree its best to focus on development first, was kind of the point i was trying to get across by talking about my own experience : ).
I actually commented on a file just to test it out earlier becouse it didnt seem as if anyone had ussed the feature (i since found one brief conversation) and would agree its to isolated to become popular or rather a home to some kind of community. As youve siad thats not what this site needs but if you wanted such a full fledged forum would do the job much better imho. Might i suggest a report dead link feature along side the comment feature though , not so they can be fixxed as such but so at a glance users can avoid dead links (simple vote system? counter system? dead vs alive)? if its valid that is, not sure what each services file retension policys are and the likelyhood of removal.

Gah, very sorry for that!!! I got it right the second time at least. *fixed*

Thanks a lot for the advice. A userbase isn't terribly important for Anime Tosho, since the userbase won't really contribute much (as opposed to say, a forum or social networking type website). Although there are comments here, so the possibility of such a thing establishing is possible (though I personally think that a per-file based comment system is too fragmented for much discussion).
At the moment, I'm going to focus more on developing this site rather than getting the word out (just that if anyone wanted to, they're free to recommend it to others).

Not sure how well your project went; it sounds like not too well - if so, that's sad to hear and I hope you've at least got something out of it.

ahh firstly thats "G" for Gumboot, lets hope you havnt started a trend with that little ?typo? shall we : ) your just lucky i cant do much with admin : ) (i did try for a good 5 minutes)
With the little experience ive had with just the 1 project i was involved with from basically the begining it can be very hard to get a userbase established , one person tells another tells another and very slowly at first it snow balls. Also in our case we should have perhaps been better prepared at the begining , first impression is everything as they say and users arnt very forgiving of downtime etc until they are invested in or attached to the site/service/whatever. We tried all kinds of things to get attension, some were a waist of time, others worked somewhat well... the only thing that comes to mind for here might be to use tokyotosho itself if you dont think it will ruffle any feathers (just release something reasonably small and somewhat popular from time to time), comments and the website link are ussed for such All the time, or agian if you think it wont ruffle feathers approuch them (im presuming your not already involved there) for abit of banner space or a mention up top as they sometimes do.

Thanks a lot for your comment Gumboot!
I've been working on this for months now; it's a fun side project of mine :)
You're certainly not useless - your feedback (as well as everyone else!) is valuable to me! I don't expect visitors to really do anything - I've figured what needs to be done etc before I started. Though if you really do want to help, I guess the main thing I'm looking at is spreading the word.
I found that there really wasn't any DDL mirror for TokyoTosho so I decided that I'd make this, and hope that it would be useful to others, so the more people that know about it makes me glad that it's actually of some use to others. It also means I get more feedback like yours, as well as suggestions and so on. :)

There's more to come, but I have to work around my other tasks/projects.
Again, really appreciate your feedback Gumboot (as well as the others above), and glad you like the site :)

Thanks for the very useful site/service and the the work youve put into it so far , how long have you been working on it? anything a useless slob like myself can help you with? (or for that matter the countless other useless slobs out there... you know who you are!). For a beta its in remarkable good shape, feature set is ample (really like the seperate display of series name and ability to list others of the same btw), everything seems to work as it should best i can tell, hell i cant even find any typos to report. Not that my opinions worth anything (being a useless slob and all ; ) ) but job well done : ).
a very cool series for any fan of mecha, the video quality (production values and encode for that matter) is also amazing.

I've just increased the threshold for batch detection to 1.5GB, which will only affect new files. Hope that helps.

The best site for new releases!

Btw any chance of increasing the size of eps/batches to 1.5gb instead of 1gb. More groups are releasing BDs in volumes and some of the eps are atleast 500+mb. Anyway i'm just assuming you can easily adjust this.... i have no idea how your site works lol. Tnx ^_^

It's almost entirely written by me (from memory, the only parts that aren't are the jQuery Javascript library, SecurImage CAPTCHA system (which is probably defeat-able by any half-serious bot coder) and a Javascript MD5 function).
I was considering using a CMS to do this, but figured it won't be as flexible as a completely custom solution - so if you want to mimic this site / copy the whole idea / retrofit a copy for your porn collection, you could tinker with a CMS such as Drupal but you probably won't get it as flexible as this.

And no, I'm not using any framework other than jQuery =P

Thanks for the comment and notification.
Unfortunately I can't do much about Fileserve as I'm a cheapskate and piggy-backing off another service to get it there (so they'll need to fix their end which should flow on through to this script). When the upstream uploader fixes it (assuming they ever do), new files should automatically be successfully sent to Fileserve, but current ones will remain dead unfortunately.
Thanks again for the notification though!

Amazing site, you've done some epic stuff here lol >.<

Fileserve changed their upload system so you'll have to look into that btw

Sorry for that - it was due to the server downtime (see latest updates on the home page).
I wrote a bit more about it here if you're interested in reading.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm probably only willing to upload to a limited number of sites due to limited server bandwidth, but if everyone wants usaupload, I can look into adding it.
Any other suggested file hosts or votes for usaupload?

Am I misunderstanding something, or are you getting high over the smell of urine?
Odd. Considering the date, it's probably when the server went down, though I didn't realise some files broke.
Thanks for notifying me - I'll try to fix this (and some other files) up ASAP.
where's is the link??

Thank you for all the replies. I did change the settings for region and language options for non-unicode programs to Japanese but since everything still works i will stick to my current settings. Sorry for taking up your time.
thank you!

Can't find any new updates on Mediafire can you please look into it.

Edit :- Thanks for fixing it.
It's coming. Due to the recent server issue, a lot of files got queued up so it takes time for them to all be processed.
Unfortunately, Mediafire is the slowest to upload out of all the hosts (only get like 200KB/s from the server) so it takes the longest to upload. There's currently about 20GB of stuff queued up - this file being one of them.

Basically, it'll show up, but just give it some time :)

where is mediafire link for all new anime link?
i miss them so much.. please give me mediafire link
I've just checked with a similar version of uTorrent (3.0 build 25460) which seems to have no issues with the torrent here (I doubt the small version difference has any effect here).
I really don't know what it would have issues handling ";" in filenames - maybe it's your system language/encoding? You may wish to ask on the uTorrent forums to see if anyone knows there.
Ultimately though, the torrent is hosted externally, so I have no control over the filenames in there. Many people download via the torrent without issue, so it's very likely an issue with your system (which may be advantageous to you to solve :)).

FDM also seems to work fine for me. Since you're getting this across multiple programs, my guess would be a system wide issue (which is why I think your system language/encoding may be set up as non-standard).
Hopefully that helps and thanks for the comments.
Yes it should.
Though you may wish to check TT's submission policies (I'm unaware of them since I haven't tried to submit anything to them) to determine whether they'll be fine for you to do that.
Do note that, because my server has somewhat limited bandwidth, Anime Tosho does automatically exclude some stuff - it excludes batches (or what appear to be batches) > 1GB and anything > 12GB.
I am using u-torrent 3.0 build 25440. Sorry for bothering you with the torrent matter and DDL. Only the Steins Gate torrent could not load but it can be fixed by renaming the torrent. My Free Download Manager will not fail to download the file if i uncheck the automatic rename file option box.

Thank you for all the download links.
Thank you for replying. One question: If i were to re-submit old torrents to TT, will anime tosho include them into the database? For example, Steins Gate episode 01?
Thanks again for reporting.
At the moment, no, though you can comment on it being dead and others will hopefully see the comment.
I'm going to write up a link checker bot so it'll automatically detect broken links (with some degree of success) once I get around to it.

At the moment I can't mark anything expired because I'm still trying to get the host to fix the back-end server, which has been down for quite some time now :(
I'm not terribly sure I understand you exactly, but Anime Tosho is a Tokyo Tosho DDL mirror - that is, it downloads the torrents from TT and puts it up on DDL websites. There's no method to submit files to Anime Tosho directly, however, anything posted to TT under the anime category should eventually appear on this site. Note that submissions to TT must be a torrent.
As for Team Catshark, it appears that they do have some stuff submitted to TT, so if they keep doing so in the future, it should be available here.
Hope that's informative and thanks for the question.
uTorrent should have no issues with filenames with ";" in it - are you sure you have the latest version?
Most download managers won't download from the above hosts directly (except MediaFire perhaps), but anyway, if they don't properly handle the ";" character, it's probably a fault with the download manager. If the actual URL contains a ";" you can try replacing it with "%3B" to see if it helps.

I want to try to keep everything as exact as the fansubbers' release so I don't really want to go around renaming their files.

Gimme moar catgirls!
rapidshare, zshare and uploading link is dead too
mediafire link is all dead..
BTW, is it possible to rename file names by excluding the symbol ";" because its presence affects utorrent and download managers making the file unable to download
First of all, thank you for all the ddl links.
One question: Where can i post a ddl link but without having a torrent?
For example Team Catshark only release ddl link [MU] but not torrent.
Will animetosho provide additional ddl links? My country bans megaupload so i can't d/l from MU...
mediafire link is all dead..
Anywhere to post dead ddl links?
Thanks for reporting. Status of links set to expired.
Currently don't have a link checker bot but it seems that MediaFire doesn't keep links up for long...
mediafire link is all dead..

NICEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE WEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Thanks for picking that up. Funny that it's only episode 8.
I plan to write a link checker in the future which will detect dead links, though even then, it may be a while before the bot checks a link.

I've manually "expired" the links, since it's an easy thing to do, but I can't guarantee there are no other dead links at this point in time.

Thanks again for the comment.

Episode 8 of zexal, mediafire dl link is deleted. Please reupload or delete link.
Thats fiine tnx. There are other hosts ^_^
Unfortunately, it doesn't appear so. Red means that it was rejected by the host or some other error - it's certainly not an error with the script since uploading is delegated to an external service.

I'm constantly trying to improve this script whilst it's in beta, so hopefully there will be a solution to this problem, but it's unlikely to get fixed any time soon unfortunately (and if it's just being flat out rejected by Megaupload, there's nothing I can do).
