AnimeTosho has been my subtitle repository, an occasional download, but mostly for extracted subs. I hope someone takes up the gauntlet of offering extracted attachments & subs. I would rather see someone take over the site with as much dedications as has been demonstrated. I will cry.

I just planned to lean more on torrents, I never even thought about going back to IRC, it's been *so* long. I don't even know where I'd begin.

The issue isn't the ability to do it, it's the time and cost involved. Edit: after looking at the logistics I guess the cost isn't a huge factor, but the time definitely is. I guess it all comes down to how much the admin releases and how much you need to build from scratch.

It would be helpful to have some stats on what parts of the site see the most use - like how many are coming here just for DDLs, how many for the Usenet mirroring (me), how many just to grab subtitles, etc. Would make it easier to prioritize.

you can save your fav. pages on web.archive.org though old ddl's are mostly expired but for the subs and attachments

I agree. I feel a great disturbance in the Force. As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

The big unknown is how many current sites seen as alternate ddl sources are dependent on Anime Tosho. Some name AT as a source but most don't.

Under that method, since IP addresses are detected through surveillance, it would lead to a lawsuit in my country.

Not to mention the server infrastructure and front-end work that I am shit at.

I am thinking of making a replacement, but for a proper one, I will be looking down months of work.
