Hey,
Was wondering if you're planning to add RSS anytime in the future?

Great site :)
26/12/2011 11:50 — admin
Thanks.
I believe RSS is already available?

Oops! Silly me. But i don't see an RSS link anymore lol, needs to be more visible >.<
27/12/2011 06:10 — admin
I don't believe there's any actual links anywhere, but if your browser detects RSS feeds, it should show.
What browser are you using? I think the older Firefox browsers used to show RSS feeds in the address bar, but they've removed it from there now (though still visible via right-click -> Page info -> Feeds).

OH!
Oops, had no idea about that. You learn something new everyday :P

Do you know of any way to automate downloads from Animetosho?
29/12/2011 09:52 — admin
Would you be able to explain what you mean 'automate downloads'?
29/12/2011 09:55 — bakaouji
You know how uTorrent has RSS, and you can download automatically to your computer from Tokyotoshokan? A similar thing using Animetosho RSS would be cool. I think i might be able to come up with something, but interested in hearing what you think lol
31/12/2011 00:29 — admin
Only really makes sense if you intend to download absolutely everything though...
But if that's what you want, why not just use uTorrent's RSS fetch feature?
You're otherwise going to have to figure out a way to automatically fetch from DDL sites, and probably write a script to extract the relevant links.

Only really makes sense if you intend to download absolutely everything though... ->> regex Filtering

But if that's what you want, why not just use uTorrent's RSS fetch feature? ->> Can't use torrents

Anyway I figured out a few ways to do it:
-Flexget
- Jdownloader's jdfeedme

Thanks anyway >.<

Fair enough, thanks for the info :)

Commie is actually skipped. Weird.

I've pushed it through again.
Thanks for the heads up.

a filtering view would be good when viewing a anime with releases from multiple groups, this way one could simply select what groups releases they want to view/download and it would be easier locating what you want. also, would be good for filtering out tv and dvd/bd versions
just a suggestion :)
01/01/2012 02:12 — admin
Yeah, awesome suggestion actually, though there's a few difficulties with implementing it. I'm currently focusing on fixing back end issues at the moment, so I'm not paying too much attention on the website that you actually see at the moment.
Regardless, you'll probably better results using search than my attempts at classification anyway.
I've just added the ability to search within a show (just go to the page for the show, then tick "This series only" on the left and enter the group's name above), so hopefully that's helpful.
01/01/2012 02:33 — aniluv
Nice implementation. Now we have all the different group releases for a single anime under one page. Thanks
01/01/2012 08:33 — eman
nice 1 m8 :)
now all you have to do to get what i said is list all groups that subbed a anime at the top of the page, and when clicked, will use that new search ability, of course i guess that part will have to be done either manually, regexp based or what ever your using for the file info page (where it shows the group name/link)
of course even if you dont do that, with this new search ability implemented, im fine :D

you filtered out a lot of stuff (bdrip 1080p encs). I hereby state I want those back, they were the main reaso I liked here. ;)
01/01/2012 00:52 *admin
There has never been any more filtering than before, in fact, it's only ever been reduced.
How it works is stated here.
- Anything over 12GB in size
- Whatever the script considers to be a 'batch', over 1.5GB in size

If you wish, you can make a request for a particular file that was filtered out and I may manually put it through.
01/01/2012 07:00 — Anonymous
why not add these files only as torrents. This way people will at least know that they exist. With something like a message that says those files are too big for uploading.
01/01/2012 23:08 — admin
Fair point I guess - didn't think of that.
Done.

Hi admin, could you please add this torrent :

[TastyMelon]_Black_Lagoon_OVA_-_Roberta's_Blood_Trail_[BD][720p]

There seem to be a great deal of links that are large in file size on the main page, when i click upon them, none of the link open up(error). Is the system caching the files to be processed? But why cant we access them? Is it just me?
02/01/2012 12:10 — Anonymous
Anything over 12GB in size and 'batch' files over 1.5GB are now in italic. it's just a link to general tosho telling that such files exist. for a moment stop downloading/leeching.
02/01/2012 16:39 *aniluv
I see. Thank you. But would you have any clue why I cant access the https(SSL) of Tokyo Toshokan? Is it just me?

Firefox 9

i got that message too =/
03/01/2012 08:39 — admin
Interesting that you seem to have issues connecting to TT's HTTPS version (they seem to be using 2048-bit RSA/128-bit RC4/SHA encryption - possibly something's disabled that combination on your Firefox).
Removing the 's' from 'https://' should allow you to get to it, though I'm curious as to why it would be disabled.
Perhaps try accessing about:config (open new tab, and enter it as the address), search for security.ssl3.rsa_rc4_128_sha - the default value should be true (if it isn't toggle it to true)
05/01/2012 04:01 — aniluv
It's pretty weird, my default value is already true. Still it doesn't work. But without 's', it works perfectly. Maybe is my FF acting up or the HTTPS is not working. Either way, no great deal of damage done.
