Why is the search so bad on this site?

For example you search "Dame" and get almost no results, but search "DameDesuYo" and get all their releases.

Partial word parsing is more than what you should expect from sites that aren't google or wiki.

Exactly. Those are sites where search is a primary function -they can't exist without extensive database search functionality. But AT is a portal, not an archive. The links go dead in 6 weeks. Anything more than basic search functions is a bonus.

Try "Dame*" if you want partial word matches.

Although you don't need to do that anymore - I just enabled automatic keyword expansion. It may not work in all instances however.

Solidfiles

Hi admin,
In the following example, 3 of 25 eps failed to get Solidfiles links. Does that mean they failed after a certain number of re-tries, or were rejected for other reasons?

If re-tries, now that AnonFiles is gone would it be possible to give Solidfiles a few more re-tries? They were a team for me. And things seem to go through there, eventually.

Solidfiles actually have a 500mb upload limit. Any file that surpassed the allocated sizes wouldn't make it there. It's a great host for sure but I think Userfiles is better, plus they wouldn't delete their files after a year.

Edit: Now that I had a look at that page you had provided, I don't know why the file doesn't make it there even though it was spliced into numerous parts. Sorry about that. The admin might be able to help.

Solidfiles' uploads fail quite often, so if it doesn't show up, it's likely exhausted the retry limit and gave up.
In this case:

I'll try changing the upload scheduling parameters for SolidFiles, although it also has another problem in that scheduled SolidFiles retries clog the upload queue a little...

Yeah, I'm running an update at the moment, so updates have been temporarily paused.
Things should be back to normal pretty soon.
