Thanks so much for the note.
As much as I disagree with some of the practices, if the source site hasn't deleted it, I'll likely leave it as is. Of all the remaining entries have comments on them anyway, so downloaders can decide what they want to do based on that.

But I might look into strengthening the de-dupe filter. Hopefully that'll achieve the same goal to some extent.

This does happen, but it takes time.
The issue is that changes (such as deletes) don't get "broadcasted", i.e. the AT script doesn't get notifications of any changes. This means that the only way to pick up changes is to periodically check the upstream site. This can't be done too frequently or you'll overload the source with requests.
On the other hand, it's much easier to discover new items, but harder to detect updated items.

The way the script currently scrapes for updates is perhaps a little sub-optimal, but for new files, it usually can pick up changes in a few hours to a day.

Sorry you missed my feedback concerning [TheComicsHQ] post. The gropp is legit and the sub they posted is also. I know you don't have time to download and check every video fetched.
They only subbed and posted the 1st episode. However, this group has attacked all the legit groups to clear the field for their troll subs. I know it was an honest mistake, but please don't help them kill off a legit sub group that might be convinced to continue to sub this series.

The file was removed from Nyaa, and AT just replicates whatever they do. Unfortunately it has nothing to do with legitimacy and only just because of how the script here operates.
The file is still accessible via the above link though.
Hopefully that explains it.

[TheComicsHQ] is a legit site. And this post has received no negative comments. I just viewed it and the subs are the very close to those of [MTBB] & the [Ract] release of episode 1. The others are the 'spring anime 2018 hd' troll subs.

Only premium accounts files aren't deleted because of expiration/time limit. DMCA'd files are deleted regardless. 1f/ul.to supports import to own accounts/impoting. 1F/UL/RG premium supports hotlinking. MEGA/ULOZ have file no expiration. I suggest you invest in a cheap seedbox/rapidleech and upload dl'd files to a backup service like Backblaze/Gdrive/MEGA (don't share link)

Is the server chocking? Sometimes this website takes long time to load/connect, over 30 sec. Been noticing it a lot recently.

Thanks for the question. Are you able to give a date/time (and timezone) when this occurs?

The host put a fairly restrictive cap on the server's disk IOPS about 10 days ago, which has been causing it to choke every so often. I've managed to get it raised a bit and have been making some tweaks to better deal with the new limits. Hopefully it's been mostly fine in the past ~1-2 days?
There's some rebuild processes that run at around 5AM-7AM UTC every day, so it may be a little slower around then, but hopefully not noticeably so. It's also known that some filter/sort combinations can be slow.

There is one person pushing it. But most that come here won't pay and for various reasons: they are a pirate and pirates don't pay, They have little to no money, They have no way to pay even if they have money for various reasons like too young to deal with a bank etc.
He's just making a big pest of himself while complaining how he can't get the files for free to put behind the paywall.
He isn't torrenting so he really isn't giving anything back to the vast majority of this community.

There actually are some free Usenet plans, and some places offer free trials. Have never used any of them myself, but some options are available if you want want to pay.
