Seems grapping the episodes don't work well these days, see unsorted. May needs some rework. I mean s.t. like S02E04 can be catched with regex like [sS]\d\d?[eE]\d\d?(?=[ \[\(.]). Of course you need more, prob in | groups, but dunno how its setup at your end.

Do you have some specific examples? Most entries without an episode attached are batches.
The 'S02E04' isn't a common naming scheme for anime releases, though the parser does recognise that pattern. I tried looking for such conventions in unsorted, but there wasn't many of those.

This is a naming that came from the scene rules. Warez/Movies/Musics from the scene uses that naming and there are some people that uses it for anime releases.

As you said, isn't that common but it's widely used in public torrent trackers, take a look at rarbg.to or just google warez standards.

more and more anime groups are making the switch so that downloaders can properly add the files to plex/kodi and other such media server devices.

If minimal filenames are still needed, no sign than has or would catch on.

I mean more groups are now using proper naming like "ReZero - S02E01" instead of "ReZero 2 - 01" or "ReZero - 26" or Crunchyroll/HorribleSubs dumb way of listing S2 but using numbering that continues on like "ReZero 2 - 26" lol.

I'm guessing that, because a number of anime actually have name changes between seasons (even if it's something like "K-On!" vs "K-On!!"), season number indicators aren't as commonly used.
It's a little different to non-anime, which have often been more title+season focused, where titles don't change between seasons.

The script here tries to handle both formats anyway (can get a bit confused if both are used at the same time). My initial comment was more based on the suggestion of how episode parsing should be done.

AT doesn't rename torrents or files so I'm not sure what you'd be asking them to do.
03/09/2020 19:42 — Anonymous
Hm, did the naming check just kick in today for yesterdays animes? It now does look OK. How long is supposed to take?
03/09/2020 19:46 — Anonymous
I think it's on a schedule, probably to avoid wasting resources.
03/09/2020 20:11 — Anonymous
if we're taking about someone correcting/changing their torrent title, that's a rare thing anyways.
04/09/2020 02:05 — admin
It's done by a separate background process. I imagine it should usually be done within minutes after the torrent finishes downloading, but it can get changed later. For example, hash computation occurs later, or AniDB may change details etc.

If this is in relation to misnamed torrents which are later renamed, it may have been tagged before the update script detects the rename, in which case, it doesn't get re-tagged (at least for now).

I haven't seen any solidfiles links for a while?
10/09/2020 21:01 — Anonymous: "Anon"
Solidfiles doesn't accept uploads again.
13/09/2020 22:43 — admin
I've just disabled Solidfiles as they've been failing for a number of days now.

Any plan to support mobile view?
It might not be the best, but the internet trends does show that more people access site from their mobile (mobile devices nowadays are strong enough to play 1080p anime so there's that kind of user base)
12/09/2020 12:46 — Anonymous
The site works fine with my phone.  What changes would you want?
16/09/2020 07:40 — Anonymous
Not him, but it would be nice to be able to set the viewport with a mechanism on the site instead of a bookmarklet.
16/09/2020 10:36 — admin
Thanks for the suggestion. Would you be able to share your bookmarklet?

As for the original request, a complete rewrite of this website front-end has been on my mind for quite a long time. Unfortunately, it requires a fair bit of work, and it's hard to find the time/resources for such. If people are interested in helping out with development, it would be more practical.

javascript:document.querySelector('meta%5Bname=viewport%5D').setAttribute('content','width=2048px,initial-scale=1.0,maximum-scale=20.0,minimum-scale=0.1,user-scalable=1');

It's a generic bookmarklet for fixing broken sites that set the viewport wrong then lock it, but a happy side effect is that it makes AT's main table look like it does on the desktop, which can be nicer for some uses because the columns line up. I certainly don't advocate changing the mobile style to do this by default.
22/09/2020 11:15 *admin
Thanks.
As you suggest, I probably couldn't set that as a default.
I'm not sure of a nice way to have a configurable viewport, but I've tweaked the style a little to hide links for typical mobile browser portrait views. Hopefully it makes the main view a little less cluttered, though you'll have to tap through to see actual links.
22/09/2020 13:32 — Anonymous
Is there a way to return to the normal view on my phone?  This simplified view is less useful to me.
22/09/2020 13:43 — Anonymous
i'd like to know who suggested this stupid idea?
22/09/2020 15:43 — Anonymous
I use my phone to see if it's time to fire up my computer and download something.

Simplified view:

Plus?:

More entries per screen allow me to see if the same entries I saw before are still there.

Loss:

-I can't see if processing for links has started for shows I was waiting for without clicking them.
-I can't see if entries are remakes without going to Nyaa
-Can't see if Horrible is fake or real by Nyaa trusted status without going to Nyaa
-Harder to click on entries bunched together on my screen.

More entries per screen is of no value to me.

yeah it's like windows removing the start button. please revert.
23/09/2020 07:28 — admin
Thanks a lot for the info.
I've reverted the change, so it is as it was before.

I'm not sure what to do for the original request. I suppose that poster will just need to keep using their bookmarklet for now.
23/09/2020 13:27 — Anonymous
thanks
16/09/2020 20:29 — Anonymous
Speaking as someone who primarily uses this site on a phone, I second the assessment that there aren't any real problems with using it on a phone!
