Its domain has been created on January 22, 2021 and it's hosted on Namecheap.

Unfortunately I don't really have the time to set up / manage a chat system, as I don't really use such myself.
There's a Discord link on the side, if you want a chat room. I don't know how many people here are looking for such, but I'd presume it'd be more popular than Matrix. If everyone thinks otherwise, and someone is willing to manage such a room, it can be changed.

hey admin, thanks for maintaining the site like a champ.
been here since the site was few months old and noticed from the announcements its already 10years. How time flies, from being a student to being a working and married adult now. Always has been my easy go to source of anime. Though I don't watch anime as often now.

The site appears the same on the surface, but I'm sure many changes was done at the backend over the years. But then again I'm sure most people prefers the site as it is. No need to change what works well right isn't it.

Hello and Hi.
I was here to know about how to get started on making BD and Web ripping? What software that use for ripping the tv shows, BD and web streams in personal use?

I was looking for that thing to learn how to do that, and I also know the popular free software that I cannot tell to avoid misunderstood. So I have no idea even I search how to rip and when to stream (tv shows, dvd, web streams, etc.) available but it was unlucky not found and waste of time to search anything.

But the simple question, what software used for bd and web ripping and other free software related to convert/merge streams into video file?

This is great that Anime Tosho uses the free software like MPlayer, MediaInfo, Transmission, FFmpeg, etc. (on GNU/Linux*)

I hope that anyone knows and consider answer my reply. And sorry if you encounter some grammatical errors of my comment.

Webstreams: yt-dlp (youtube-dl)
DVD/Bluray: MakeMKV
Convert: ffmpeg
Subs&Chapters etc. : Aegissubs
Merge: MKVToolNix, ffmpeg

And a bunch of other things...
I've no idea what's currently used to rip from Widevine streams (Netflix).

Woah, It looks interesting that I didn't discovered about yt-dlp and AegiSub. So I would research for that.

And yeah, same on your question what programs use to rip from Netflix. But its not that the question anyways. All from TV streams, dvd and other streams from the original post.

Searching with just an exclusion expression "In this series only" returns a particularly scary page.

Also, given that there is already a functionality to sort torrents by series, it would be great to add a single-episode (partial release) / full release filter, or even autogroup one-episode torrents into virtual batches, if customarily made batches are not available.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Unfortunately the search engine, Sphinxsearch, requires at least one inclusive term in every search request.
If you have a user account, there's a global 'blacklist' option, which can be used to hide entries matching particular words.

As for batching, if you mean to do it similar to how batches are usually done, unfortunately the torrent format doesn't permit combining torrents into a single one directly.
If you mean by combining what's displayed here onto a single page, sadly there's no nice automated way to associate related files that I know of. In other words, you probably can't do much better than a manual search, or have someone manually create a batch, like some already do.

Not him, but I think he was saying it's a strange generic middleware error page, when it probably should be a "no search results" or "don't do that" page that looks like the rest of the site?
