If you hijack it, this site will change its appearance, deface (a type of hack done by beginners that can change the appearance of one page), but you can only fill in comments stating this site was hijacked?

It's probably about suppliers.  B-Global had it.  When funi or others do, it will show up more, and sometimes with better translations.

Is there a way to explicitly include deleted entries in search results? The DB dumps do have a deleted column, so I tried sphynx search syntax of "@deleted true" but I'm not sure if the field operators are even hooked up.

I can't think of a reason they'd want to help you look up deleted entries.  Can you explain?

Sometimes uploaders on nyaa upload entries tagged "TRASH" (e.g. with subs from one of the Chinese sites) and then delete them later when a "proper" release comes out. It would be good to be able to access those and redownload them if they are still alive on the mirrors. If there is currently no way to do so, I think just hooking up a sphynx field to filter on this DB column would work?

I don't think AT currently updates and deletes entries beyond a short window, 24 hours or less.  If it was here for a day, it probably still is here.  That's my impression.

Maybe I've been missing them, but I can't recall any temp stuff here like what you describe.  I use the B-Global downloads and the subs have been fine.  If there is temp stuff, I wonder if it's been in a category other than English and therefore never here.

It was for the Muse releases, I recall some of them (e.g. flying witch) had OCRd subtitles. I even distinctly remember watching the first three episodes with these ocrd subs. But I can't find them anymore. Either my memory is bad or they did exist but they've since been deleted.

I know of two groups that used Muse for that series, but both were hardsubs so no attachments.  You would need the video files and even the current torrents are likely dead.

The only reason to go to all the work of OCR and a clean video would be for early releases.  There were a couple for this series but no suggestion that Muse was the source -and no reason to hide it if they were.

Deleted items are removed from the index, so unfortunately no.
You can find deleted items in the DB exports, as you've discovered, but the site otherwise tries to be a mirror of its sources, so won't show deleted items.

Makes more sense to comment on the reference page.  Feedback is better for comments to staff that have no reference page.

The process is: When the torrent is deleted at the source (anidex) then it auto-deletes here.

Can you include CameEsp releases? Even though they're listed as Spanish because they're Spanish and their main focus is offering releases with Spanish subs all their releases include English subs too, their nyaa link https://nyaa.ink/user/Mayansito and anidex https://anidex.info/user/21441

There was another such group in the past that specifically did not want to be English listed even though they also included English.  They wanted to reach out to other language groups instead.

They're now listed in the tokyotosho english section but since they're using their nyaa torrent files that are listed in nyaa's non-english section animetosho skips them

Nyaa has priority for language.  

They need to figure out what they are.  Listing two ways doesn't work.
