Updated, thanks.

Damn it! After losing ZippyShare, AnonFiles and RARBG this year, unfortunately it seems UptoBox is going down too ☹️ 😡 It was a great host with long retention 😞
God damn those greedy, tyrannical Hollywood studios 😤 🤬

Uptobox's latest "X"/Twitter thread in French says that they're still working on restoring access to their raided servers... but dodged inquiries about that 2018 photo...

Now there's speculation that 1fichier might be next...

This year has been shit so far indeed, I fully empathize. My 2c is that a big economic recession is incoming, all FAANG companies canned people, and they're now tightening screws and using every trick in the book to get more money for their 'shareholders'. See YT, twitter, reddit and many more big player shenanigans. Wouldn't be surprised if the other sites you mention received cease and desist/gag orders as well. That coupled with the incoming recession.

Kinda worried about AT too, constant loss of actual upload endpoints is concerning. Admin runs everything out of pocked but if there's nowhere to put the actual files ...

It's not FAANG anymore. MAMAA is the correct one currently, since Facebook has become Meta and Microsoft has become giant again and Netflix doesn't belong to Big Five anymore.

Kek, googled it and it's true. Though correct, I find that acronym incredibly stupid.  In any case, my point was when the too big to fail tech boys are tightening the belt you know SHTF. How's that for an acronym.

is it possible to get mirrorace.org working here? (similar to multiup)
23/09/2023 22:57 — Anonymous
Why not just download via torrent? Much more convenient than filehosts.
24/09/2023 02:55 — Anonymous
^Agreed.
24/09/2023 10:16 — admin
A key reason people come here is to avoid torrents :)
I imagine many satisfied with torrents stick to places like Nyaa.
24/09/2023 12:25 — Anonymous
In my case, I prefer Anime Tosho since we can post here or in torrent comments without needing an account. I've been trying to create an account on Nyaa since last year, but registrations are always "temporarily unavailable" :(

Thanks for the suggestion!
There was a bit of resistance the last time it was asked, but seeing the lack of alternatives, I've decided to add it. Let's see how it turns out.

Ack, MirrorAce has a daily upload limit, which got hit fairly quickly. I've disabled it, as it doesn't really seem usable as is.
25/09/2023 12:31 — Anonymous: "Anon"
MirrorAce was good in the past but not anymore. Since a year ago I can't remote upload to it and every time the process fails. Right now MultiUp is the best of such services. And quite recently MultiUp.org has become MultiUp.io after many years.
25/09/2023 18:14 — Anonymous
Could treat it as anonfiles was handled, and restrict uploads to the small files... or is the limit not even high enough for that?

26/09/2023 00:43 — Anonymous
This is why downloading via torrent is better. No bandwidth limit :)
26/09/2023 00:47 — Anonymous
glad you're happy, but no thanks.

not everyone can download off a torrent. My former ISP for example, blocks torrent almost completely. If I could somehow managed to conect to a peer, it's very slow that it would take years for a series batch to complete.
28/09/2023 01:11 — Anonymous
If you're getting slow torrent speed, then use utorrent and follow this tutorial:
https://fossbytes.com/how-to-increase-...oad-speed/

And obviously, use a VPN. Using a VPN generally prevents your ISP from throttling torrent speeds, and of course, protects your privacy.
28/09/2023 05:48 — admin
Thanks for the info. One thing I'd point out is that people seem to recommend qBittorrent over uTorrent, but if you have to go with uTorrent, the general recommendation is to stick to v2.2.1.

An advantage of file hosts is that VPN becomes less necessary. Another benefit is with users unable to receive incoming connections (e.g. connected via CGNAT), which hampers P2P transfers like torrents.
28/09/2023 05:56 — Anonymous
Both qBittorrent and uTorrent and great torrent clients, just like both NordVPN and ExpressVPN are great VPNs.

Regardless whether you torrent or download via filehosts, a VPN is an absolute must for protecting your privacy.

Possibilities are endless ...
µTorrent is just like VLC player. They were once the top choices for torrenting and media playing but not anymore! Those days are long gone. There are much better alternatives to them nowadays.
Today, the best torrent clients are Tixati and qBittorrent. I personally prefer Tixati which is cross-platform and more importantly has a portable edition. There is also a guide to optimize Tixati if needed.
06/10/2023 01:16 — Anonymous
No. VLC was never a "top" choice. It was a "popular choice among casuals", but it was always an awful choice. VLC was the Internet Explorer of media players.
07/10/2023 08:17 — Anonymous
There are lots of great torrent clients: qBittorrent, uTorrent 2.2.1, Vuze (although Azureus was much better), Deluge, Transmission... and many more. Basically just a matter of preference, and I personally prefer uTorrent 2.2.1.

And VLC is a great media player. I sometimes (very rarely) have issues in MPC with subtitles/video not showing up, but in VLC, videos work 100% of the time.
26/09/2023 06:23 *admin
I guess it could be "unlimited" in a sense, as it doesn't mention daily limits.
I've enabled it again, but with a size cap. I don't know how their daily limit is measured, so will have to resort to trial, but it doesn't seem to take much to reach it.
With AT's volume, it's likely not that useful unfortunately.

Hi, where can I found any threads about the new site design idea? I would like to contribute 😁
28/09/2023 05:40 — admin
Thanks for the interest!

There's been a few posts here and there, but nothing substantial (I probably am most of the reason for that).

Someone did post an alternative UI, if that's of any interest: https://catetuang.com/animetosho/

Yeah, probably the same guy trying to promote the "mysterious message" meme. Not even funny.

Admin add uppit, remove mediaload, this site speed is slow.
07/10/2023 18:13 — Anonymous
uppit is currently available via Multiup.
07/10/2023 19:34 — Anonymous
Multiup is like going through a maze. Uppit has 30 days of inactive files, while mdiaload only has 7 days of inactive files. Gofiles and downloadGG it will still delete files within 10 days even if there are many downloads.
07/10/2023 21:15 — Anonymous
I think 48 hours is plenty, if you want something.
17/10/2023 00:06 — Anonymous
So far it seems like Uppit does not keep files for 30 days, possibly a day or so, either that or 1) they pull down copyrighted content very quickly OR 2) a lot of files are failing to upload properly.

Ran into another possible filehost although they don't give a lot of information I find that https://dailyuploads.net seems to work pretty well and you don't even need Javascript enabled on their site to download from them and their speed seems to be quite reasonable although it does fluctuate a bit.
19/10/2023 12:10 — admin
DailyUploads and Uppit seem to use the same script, which made implementing it super easy, but I wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot of similarity between the two.
Thanks for the info nonetheless.

Thanks for the suggestion.
09/10/2023 09:45 — Anonymous
hey, I noticed https://feed.animetosho.org/json is CORS enabled which is great! but https://animetosho.org/storage/torrent/ isn't, so if find torrents via the feed, we can't actually download the .torrent file for it, could we get CORS for the .torrent files inside storage?
09/10/2023 12:13 — admin
Thanks for suggesting that - it has now been added.

Tag Line. Or not.
Greetings. Your mailing server or masking service are failing to deliver neither registration nor e-mail verification messages to a username@proton.me address. If this is not a known issue, could I trouble you to look into it? I appreciate it.
12/10/2023 05:46 — admin
Thanks for mentioning that. The host here blocks SMTP traffic, so no emails actually work.
Email functionality isn't really necessary here, so I've largely ignored the issue.
