Is there a possibility that Animetosho will become a community, and require users to create an account if they want to submit opinions or messages? This site is an anime site but it doesn't look like it. So that this site really discusses anime, not coding. Admin?

There are plenty of anime discussion sites, try MAL.

btw, the reason for anonymous comments is so anyone can comment about problems the torrent has such a wrong subs or missing eps or other problems. That's not likely to change.

I don't intend to enforce account creation for commenting at the moment. I do value having low barriers to encourage users to share.
I'm not sure what you mean by 'community', but if it's like a social network, then no, there's no intention of turning this site into such.

I don't fully understand the question, but if it's around the focus of what people comment on, I haven't really prescribed anything in particular. I'm generally open to many things as long as they're "reasonable".

Just my suggestion but it would be superhandy if verified registered account can have some little bit of moderation, like delete racial comments, spams, or anything unrelated posted by unregistered accounts. Take my opinion as a grain of salt but that's what I see almost every 5 hours

That would be bad. People who don't like someone or a comment might abuse the power. Things are fine the way they currently are.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm generally fairly open to comments, so may permit more 'variety' than you may find elsewhere. Some may disagree with this stance, which is completely understandable.
Would you be able to show recent examples of comments that you'd like moderated?

As long as account registration is simple and easy (no email/cellphone verification) I think it's a good idea to enforce account registration, since it's confusing replying to someone when everyone is named "Anonymous".

@admin the previous stylise name for non-registered account was better, now it's confusing bcos there is tag "Anonymous" in every name. Sorry I went for a few months away, I'm not aware of what rules has changed. Respect your decision though.

No. This is a torrent site/catalogue. I just want to grab my torrents when I need them and go. There are many existing anime communities on Reddit, Discord, MAL and AniList-- just go there. Besides, inviting a larger social presence to the site will only make Tosho a bigger target against anti-piracy freaks. Keep the site as-is. No need to overthink this.

That's not as big as you think. Plenty of sites over the years have been shut down over just torrents/magnets. The original Kat and rarbg are some examples. It's more than just hosting files.

Hard drives are cheap these days, I prefer local storage. There is always a risk to storing in the cloud, take a look at what happened to Mega and a couple of other storage lockers over the years.

whats the size of the data you want to backup? if its less then 15 GB then just use proton drive

if its more then 15 gigs then upload to more then one file host and most impotently ENCRYPT YOUR DATA before uploading
