ATS/deadlyshin owner repeatedly mentions moderators, is it true that, admin is recruiting moderators?

The one making such comments is a troll.  His methods are troll, like making grade-school level insults trying to get a rise out of admin.  Trolls make a game out of trying to get others to waste their time.

I heard the owner of deadly7shin is a Filipino in Southeast Asia.

Never heard of deadly7shin , I doubt it is 7Deadlysiner of ATS.

Seems to be coming back. Randomly clearing episodes.

I have noticed that you have recently removed the Mediainfo from the torrent response in the json endpoint, is there a new way of fetching the mediainfo from the api now?
19/05/2025 11:05 — admin
Sorry about that. I've been restructuring the database a bit, and had to pause updates temporarily.
For Mediainfo, I've made a new endpoint (show=file instead of show=torrent - example) as I'm a bit concerned the torrent endpoint response might get a little large.

I've been using and loving this service for a while now, but I'm curious if there's a way to refine search results based on whether it's an individual file or a batch download? If I missed something, please let me know. If it's currently not possible... might I suggest such a feature being added in the future?

More often than not, I prefer the batch download as it's easier to seed, and much more organized. (Not to mention you get the same quality of subtitles across every episode)
24/05/2025 07:47 — admin
Thanks for the comment.
Unfortunately there's no explicit way to filter for batches. Some submitters will use the term 'batch' in the title, which you can include in the search.
Otherwise options that may work for you:
- sort the search results by size, descending, as batches will generally be larger
- use your browser's search (Ctrl+F) to find "files)" on the search results page, which will highlight entries with more than one file
- to the left of the size, a folder icon is used to indicate torrents containing more than one file - you can use that to quickly scan for entries with more than one file

Thank you for the response.

Many of my searches have come up empty because of the use (or non-use) of the term "batch" in the title, so that method is quite unreliable in my experience.
- Sorting by size, on it's own, has proved a tad annoying due to the presence of the BDRemux torrents which are absolutely massive in filesize with little to no difference in quality from the HEVC that I prefer, and often have too few seeds to make up for the difference, but combined with "[anime name] -BDRemux -remux" this is much more feasible. A good piece of advice for others if they haven't already gotten into the habit of using the exclusion terms in their searches.
- I had not considered using the browser Find function for this. Thank you for the tip, this will absolutely save a bit of time in some fringe cases. (Assuming I remember to use it)
- After using this service in the way that I do for so long my eyes scan the right side for the folder icon, then jump to the left to find the team name, so I've already got a nice habit making use of the folder icon.

Is there any chance that such a feature (filter to only multi-file torrents) might be added in the future? If so, please provide the opposite as well, as I'm sure there is a niche for it. (And if one of them is added, the other should require close-to-zero effort)
25/05/2025 08:34 — admin
Thanks for trying those out and reporting back.

Is there any chance that such a feature (filter to only multi-file torrents) might be added in the future?
Batch detection can be a little icky, e.g. a movie could come with some auxiliary files, yet wouldn't be a "batch".
There is some detection for this (used to determine whether to display links on the listing page), though I'm not sure of the accuracy.

Building efficient indexes for search filtering can get a bit involved, and there's always another filter that could be added, so I've decided to keep the search function simple. This site also isn't naturally geared towards dealing with batches, so I'm less inclined to go there.

Hopefully the workarounds do a good enough job.

Fair enough. Thanks for taking the time to reply!

Every service is going to have features individual users don't like, or is going to lack one or more features individual users want, and as users we simply need to find the service that meets our needs and preferences in a way we prefer. That in mind, AnimeTosho is the best site I've found and I truly appreciate all the time and effort that goes into maintaining it.

Thanks again, and best wishes.

Hi, just came across a filehost that is pretty good with download speed, but may not be viable for api upload.

Just sharing: https://akirabox.com/

Some considerations to make when considering a host:

Are accounts required for uploading? Anonymous uploading is preferred here. - Yes
If an account is required, how much space is given? - Can upload as visitor
Are there any other upload limits? - 5Gb upload size
How long do files last? - 7 days or more if there is view or download
Does the host modify uploaded files in any way? - No
What quirks does the host have? - Con could be no API for upload file
Is the host friendly to downloaders? - Yes, fast download speed
How long has the host been around? How likely are they to disappear soon? - 1 year

Thank you for your time.

Thanks again for the suggestion.

Hey admin. Just came across a file sharing site downloading a tv show I watch.
It says its free and premium is also free. I don't know if it has a daily limit but the show I downloaded was 2.7gb  and site says up to 10gb per file. First Ive used the site so know nothing else other than what Ive told you. may or may not be useful here.

FreeDlink
https://freedl.ink/

This is listed on the page

Unlimited Storage for 180 days on each files (0 downloads)
FREE & GOOD Download Speed (20MB/s)
You can upload upto 10GB per file
No limit on downloads, no waiting time between 2 downloads
We have over 40Gbps+ on our datacenter for our all servers
Many benefits are waiting for you to check out
06/06/2025 05:21 — Anonymous
>premium is also free

Sounds sketchy as fuck.

When websites have a "Make Money" option, don't use them. Additionally, the "Program Terms & Rules" are all in broken English.
07/06/2025 06:49 — admin
Thanks for the suggestion.
The site gives me Cloudflare protection pages, which will make automation difficult. My attempts to upload anything there has also resulted in "Internal Server Error" responses, so I haven't actually be able to upload anything unfortunately.
06/06/2025 05:40 — Anonymous
I guess it could be but wtf are you complaining about? All the sites we use are free sites now and many of them were mentioned to the admin before he chose to use them. I downloaded one file without problems and didn't sign up for a thing and my adblockers were on so no ads. Is it sketchy who knows couldn't tell you but you could say that about any free site. I used to think all free filed download hosters were sketchy but I was wrong. I certainly didn't get a single alert on my Bitdefender Total Security. Are you saying you don't use any of the free used for file uploads here? All of them make money somehow unless they are bleeding money and just don't give a fuck. Its posted a lot as a file download option lately on Scnsrc which I visit daily but as I said earlier I know nothing about the site.

Hi!

I just noticed that some comments are not pulled properly from nyaa.

Example:
- Tosho: https://animetosho.org/view/erai-raws-...0.n1979501
- Nyaa: https://nyaa.si/view/1979501

I assume it's impossible to fix this retroactively, but would it perhaps be possible for future torrents?

Thanks in advance! <3

1. AT doesn't mirror Nyaa comments in the AT comments section. Unless you're referring to the cached Nyaa archive link, in which case I think it only grabs that once, some time after it is fetched.
2. The nyaa torrent you linked has no comments anyways.
07/06/2025 02:58 — Anonymous
I think they refering to the details posted by the uploader. It's generally gets the first line but in the example posted, there's only 1 word in the first line.
07/06/2025 03:57 — Anonymous
then check the "cached" link for any uploader comments.
07/06/2025 05:11 — Anonymous: "Sylphrena"
Yes, apologies. I meant "description" not comments.

This also means that some torrents in the torrent export have incomplete descriptions.
07/06/2025 06:41 — Anonymous
check the cached link, some descriptions are massive and filled with pointless information.
07/06/2025 06:51 — admin
Thanks for the clarification.
The 'Comment' displayed here is just the first line from the description (without formatting, images etc). It was meant to replicate the TokyoTosho single line 'comment', and wasn't designed for longer descriptions typically posted at Nyaa.
Users will need to check the source links for a full description.
07/06/2025 19:47 — Sylphrena
Ahh, alright! I was wondering because I'm working on an app that uses the DB export to search through torrents and wanted to display the description as well, as it often contains encoding, subs etc. information. I suppose I'll just omit that part then.

Thank you for your answer!
08/06/2025 10:52 — admin
I see.
If you need it, you may need to scrape the source site for the full description unfortunately.
Sorry I couldn't help you any more.
