Feedback Page

This is a somewhat temporary page made especially for the beta version of this website. It's to collect all your death threats, love messages, requests to the code monkeys or just suggestions/issues/questions/criticisms/idle talk or whatever feedback you think is worth our database space.

Wow, I just knew this website since last December and only 4 months announcing sites shutdown.
And wow, this site is already 15 Years. Just like my cat.

Thank you for running this site as long as you have, it was my go-to source for my anime needs.
End of an era.

Thank you for releasing the code, admin!

As the code lacks that one anidb API key that maybe some people won't be able to get their hands on, I did obtain it before (by reversing the entire protocol, same as admin did), so I'm willing to offer it to anyone that is serious about wanting to run a clone of animetosho (let's say willing to foot the bill for 6 to 12 months at least). I hope anidb won't actually kill this API now that knowledge of how it works is public, but even if they did, I happen to have database dumps from that API that are updated up to last month.
I'd also be fine offering, even if I think anyone running such a site should be required to know how to do this: 1) installing the site 2) whatever maintenance if or when uploaders break. What I can't offer is daily stuff like writing series detection regexps and dealing with comments/spam/requests. I thought about just running the whole thing myself, as the costs are not that high, but given the bus factor and already being somewhat busy, I don't know if I want to take on such a long-term responsibility.
If anyone is interested, reply here. I can make a mail if there's any interested parties to work on this, or we can figure out some other way to discuss this like IRC.

I'm not a tech guy, so I cannot imagine what it takes to build and maintain the great websites such as animetosho. It seems like a lot of work for one-man operations, but I guess a lot of techy otakus would be lone wolf types. That fact probably makes it more difficult for the tech guys to form groups for long term projects, but understanding that might be the basis of making group projects work. It would surely be helpful to go into such a project to remember that  there may be different types of egos and working preferences, and time schedules and availability, but I'm sure it can be made to work. As a person that would be lost without fansubbed anime, I want you all to realise that your hard work and dedication is very much appreciated. Also, for those involved, don't go breaking your back trying to get things released on schedules - I'm sure I speak for a lot of western anime fans when I say we'd rather have our subbed releases late than never. Ganberae techy otakus! Keep up the good work!

Thank you animetosho, maybe this is really the end of era for me watching anime, after one of another website is shutting down, last time I remember nyaa.si, now this website :'(
Maybe I'll try to take a look another alternative, and hoping it's as easy and simple like this website
Good luck for your next journey Animetosho admin, and thank you again for all past years with you!
Keep on Keeping on!

Our squiggly text game where the aim is to copy the image into the textbox. All characters are upper case, and there are no zeros (0) and ones (1) in the above image. Apparently bots aren't as good as humans at this game.
