This is a somewhat temporary page made especially for the beta version of this website. It's to collect all your death threats, love messages, requests to the code monkeys or just suggestions/issues/questions/criticisms/idle talk or whatever feedback you think is worth our database space.

Admin, is it okay if you can upload a file in rar, zip or 7z file and then rename it differently so that the file can last longer ?

can I suggest filesharing sites such as http://www.uptobox.com/, http://zomgupload.com/, http://filerio.in/

It was done for some hosts. Whether or not archive wrapping actually allows links to last longer was somewhat questionable though...

Would it be possible to have any old posts where the links are all dead or failed to be uploaded to be automatically deleted from the site .I think it is a good idea and will keep the archives looking better and stop people asking for re-uploads on files.

Seems logical, though I don't see that many requests for reuploads.
A few things though:
- not all hosts are link checked, so knowing about dead links isn't always straightforward
- some of the info collected (eg MediaInfo) for files may still be useful to someone

Maybe do it with some optional filter. But thanks for the suggestion!

True.
A few things :
- Is there a reason why only certain ones are checked?. Do some sites not allow it?.
- If the links are gone i don't think keeping the info really matters,since they can not get the DL files here.

The link checker doesn't support all hosts at the moment. I'm not sure if it ever will either.
The link checker is somewhat more for convenience purposes and is somewhat inaccurate in a number of cases anyway, so I'm not too fussed about making it "good".

Whilst people may not have a DDL, screenshots, hashes, subtitles and mediainfo may have some use to someone...

CherryBoyz uploaded there files again. that's min. the 3rd time. enormous filesize, old video. one upload got throuth. wouldn't it better to block anything from them/

I somewhat want to try to be as objective as I can so I don't really plan to block files based on popularity / whether I like it etc...
But thanks for pointing it out anyway :P

Seems the external uploader isn't properly sending to FileFactory any more unfortunately :(
Maybe I'll look into doing some direct submissions to it instead, rather than relying on third parties...

How about adding fonts/chapters attachments feature? Only one or 2 hosts should be enough as i don't think they will be reported or i think dropbox can do the job because file won't be deleted because of inactivity.

chapters are at the bottom of the information list. fonts are for recoders, there's more than enough of them.

As said above, chapters are already displayed, but won't be in a format that you could directly import into mkvmerge.
I've thought about fonts, but they are a little bit difficult to do, and I just thought that they won't be that useful for the effort required. May be considered in the future.

I can see the purpose of fonts, but I'm somewhat unsure about why you'd need chapters. Just for interest's sake, would you be able to enlighten me?

Actually there is no need for chapters.. They can be used to skip opening/ending in MPC but i use different player and never even used it either. it's just came to my mind when i was posting that comment.

For fonts.. if there is lot of work then no need.. but if you ever consider doing it, then i think adding rule for only first episode can do the job too. because most of the time subbing group use same fonts in all episodes - maybe one or two new in some episodes but normally they used same styles/fonts. So if first episode of any group release can zip all fonts and upload to dropbox, that will work very fine.

I have downloaded miniHD encodes of Girls und Panzer but the group is commie which i hate with passion.. I was thinking to replace them with hiryuu, so i downloaded first episode to get fonts. That's the reason i suggested this feature.. again if there is too much work then it's okay.. downloading first episode for font's is not that difficult and thanks for the subtitles feature again. :)

I'd say that ideally, the miniHD versions should include chapters and multiple subtitle tracks, but I guess people don't really bother.
I suppose that including multiple fonts can get large too.

It seems that the external uploader is failing to send to Crocko these days...
Sendspace should still work, just note that it can sometimes take time for stuff to appear.

Image Verification:	Our squiggly text game where the aim is to copy the image into the textbox. All characters are upper case, and there are no zeros (0) and ones (1) in the above image. Apparently bots aren't as good as humans at this game. Image Verification Passed.
