Noo, an ancient demon woken through humanities greed, is threatening to destroy all live in the universe. Captain Harlock and his crew of pirates are the only ones capabale of stopping this danger, even if it means fighting both Noo and the government at the same time.

Note: Originally meant to be a TV release in summer 2002, Outside Legend's production was delayed, TV release was cancelled and the series was released as an OVA. In autumn 2003, it was then rescheduled to be broadcast on TV Nihon.
