Over 8 and a half GB for something the length barely 6 normal anime. Lets see 350MB x 6 = 2.1GB. What is with this huge file size?

My Nanoha Movie is 11Gb in size, and my Fate Zero series averages 1.5-2Gb per episode. Might sound nuts to you, but it's a lot of difference when u watch them on a 70 inch TV with a set of 5 surround speakers or a pair $300+ audiophile headphone.

The file size is not video codec but mainly due to audio codec. File size increase tremendously from AAC 2.0 to AAC 5.1, AAC 7.1, FLAC 2.0, 5.1 and 7.1. Remember the number of channels of the audio for true surround sound. Not to mention 4K resolution will become mainstream in 2 years, that's when you'll cry more about file size, even with .H265 codec.

Nigga please it'll take 5-8years before anyone especially those who watch anime can afford or willing to even buy a 2k or 4k tv. Most of us cut corners to get things for free as it is.....so don't start talking big use a little common sense. The point is most of us have single layer disk for most anime OVA's and Anime Movies that are 720p....and the Dual Layers for Series and 1080p Anime Movies that may use DTS......so when you have a file size that's a couple hundred megabytes over dual layer size ....that's a problem ....especially when its just a matter of not changing the audio....from FLAC to AAC 5.1...enough said.

Most are fighting scenes which require a ton of bitrate. 5.1 FLAC usually requires 1 - 3 mbps. This size is indeed normal.
CoalGirls' 720p version will be around 5GB (4.05GB video confirmed). The 1080p version will be smaller than 14GB, unfortunately.

I'll pass on this. 1080p 10bit will take me hours to recode to 8bit, then another hour or so to downsize to 480p.

What the fuck? You're already killing the video when re-encoding it once, so what's the point of re-encoding to 8bit and then re-encoding it again to downscale it to 480p when you can do both at the same time with one encode pass.

Did you read it right? Let me dumb it down for you. One re-encode, ok, that's fine. Two re-encode, one to 8-bit and another to downscale, what? If you still don't understand, use one encoding pass with a bilinearResize to downscale to 480p instead of two seperate encode.

My Sony Vaio Laptop plays 1080p 10bit videos fine fyi, just because you've got some cheap ancient piece of shit doesn't mean we all have.

In anycase as said before "genius" re-encoding twice, once to 8bit, then again to downsize is retarded and stupid, when you can do both in a single re-encode.

never had one. if it's comparable to a laptop, my 2nd note, travelmate 2414wlmi does play 1920x1080 videos.

Most laptops can play HD now a days even the cheap ones, it`s depended on your video chipset & drive speed. And can we please stop the namecalling and rudeness. If someone wants to encode twice that is thier business and why should you care. Maybe they have a reason for doing so that we just don`t understand. John didn`t say anything rude to anyone and I can`t understand why everyone is being rude to him.

Also for the record, as any professional would know the two encoding is not killing the video since the second encoding is a scale down.

Just use the torrent to fix the file after joining them together and for some reason now Anonfiles are getting corrupted a lot here lately.

That's weird cause when I get a corrupt message from them it still joins the file and then I just use the torrent to fix the file.

Hmm you could maybe try using http://hjsplit.org to join the files together and then try to fix the files using the torrent.

And then use http://rapidcrc.sourceforge.net or http://animechecker.sourceforge.net to check to make sure the file is no longer corrupt.

Once extracted and joined with the other parts
You should have the complete file.

Now place this in the same directory has your torrent client downloads.
NOTE: Make sure that your file and the correct file name (that is listed in the torrent) match.
Your torrent client should automatically compare the file on your system with the one in the torrent. If it doesn't, force recheck to do it.
If it insists that you don't have the file on your system, make sure the file name is correct.
Now after checking the files, your torrent client should resume the download and fix your file.
Hopefully you don't have to redownload a lot.

Unfortunately, I live on campus and they've blocked torrenting. That said, I only have 0.5% to go and can just bring my HDD to a friend's house.
