it's not 1080p, the actual 1080p is 564 MB

The one on this page is unusual in that it uses variable compression (crf =23.7) instead of Horrible's usual constant bitrate setting (3072).

The same ep on the following link uses constant bitrate instead of crf. The 564MB torrent on that other page has been deleted from Nyaa.

The next ep (848) today is back to constant bitrate and the usual big file size.

That's the what. As to the why, an experiment, perhaps. If the quality of both is the same, shows the useless bloat of Horrible's normal method. Or maybe the big version is better?

My guess would be that Horrible discovered a problem in their normal source and these smaller eps are what they were able to acquire and substitute for those defective versions.

Just a guess, but makes sense to me.
