"The 403 Forbidden Error happens when the web page (or other resource) that you’re trying to open in your web browser is a resource that you’re not allowed to access. It’s called a 403 error because that’s the HTTP status code that the web server uses to describe that kind of error. You usually get this error for one of two reasons. The first is that the owners of the web server have properly set up access permissions, and that you’re really not allowed access to the resource. The second reason is that the owners of the web server have improperly set up permissions and you’re getting denied access when you really shouldn’t be."

The point here is 'HTTP 403' or '403 Forbidden' or 'Error 403' is issued mainly by the website (web server) but it also can be caused and reported by ISP i.e when an ISP blocks a URL.

According to Wikipedia, Zippyshare started to be blocked in UK by ISPs on March 8, 2019.  The reason given is that it was done by *mistake* and it remains unresolved as of March 10.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_...ed_Kingdom

So keep trying.  All may be ok soon ....this time.

----------------------------
One thing we've learned from this trial run ....I mean "mistake"... is that nothing was found to reliably get around it.

changing DNS does not fix the issue

oh, United Kuckdom = So fucking true its not even funny, The 'establishment' is attemting to raise another factions future, not a British future.

So it looks like they fucking blocked an entire filesharing site in the United Kuckdum?

If this is the case it looks a bit of a botched job, people are saying an easy fix is changing DNS to an opensourse one rather than the ISP's

Yeah I get the 403 as well, my ISP is EE and they don't even block piratebay, so i find it hard to believe they'd randomly block Zippyshare and nothing else, lol.

I get 403's with Virgin Media, looks like they've blocked them.

Edit: Some investigative people recon it is a issue caused by Zippyshare themselves, and not by any specific ISPs.

I'm getting random 403 forbidden from Zippyshare.  Try again, same link, in 3 minutes and it works.

Unsure if this is your case, but according to this, Zippyshare may be blocked in the UK.

Just tested 12-13 ZippyShare links from AT's first page and no problem. ZS works great as always.

You may tell us at which os and which browsers/software you did test it. If you f.e. do get a 403 just on firefox some newly/updated plugin might be at fault.

No problems for me either.  If it happens for all zippyfiles, a block is possible.

Otherwise:
1. Have you changed anything on your computer lately, like blocking cookies, new OS, new anti-virus?
2. Are the 403s consistent for a file when retried?
3. Is it only zippyshare?

The only thing I can think to try is to clear the dns cache:

To clear the cache, go to the command prompt (create a DOS box) and type:

ipconfig /flushdns

It will return back that the DNS has been flushed.

You do mean https://animetosho.org/view/.n1125378 !? Zippyshare works perfect, in browser and jdownloader. Seems to be on your side then. Maybe some routing problem or if none works may isp decided to block zippy?

Had no errors around that time (just now watched feedback page). So it is prob. something file specific.

Could you say what show/series it was for?  I haven't been looking for that error, but zippyshares has been very quick to take down some of the current releases this season, and their performance has been up and down for a while.

Jheberg completely changed their upload process, so I've had to update the script to accommodate their changes.
It should be fixed now, and the bot is currently running through the backlog.

"many sites won't work properly without cookies"

Right, that's what I was describing in the 1st comment about the cloudflare protection thing. :p
In the end it's just my stubborn rejection of cookies I don't 'absolutely need' --so that's on me. ¯\_( ͝° ̯ʖ ͝°)_/¯

Thanks for your response, btw! I appreciate that you took the time to visit multiup and share your results.

"whatever feedback you think is worth our database space."  -it doesn't sound like 'feedback' and it's not about anime.  I doubt AT will let someone high-jack their site for purposes unrelated to anime.

It's strange! I just visited several MultiUp links and there is no cookie notification unlike many other sites that show cookie banner at the bottom or top of the page. There is non on MultiUp with uBlock Origin installed on Chrome while many other sites show cookie banner and I just ignore them.

"My browser is set to block all cookies btw."
It's better to block only 3rd party cookies since many sites won't work properly without cookies and instead clearing your browser's history at the end of your browsing.

Nope, already using ublock origin. If you block cookies on sites using cloudflare protection ublock can't get you past that browser check. Only thing that happens is the RAY ID keeps changing every 5 seconds.

My browser is set to block all cookies btw. I only allow them per site as needed.

Just use uBlock Origin and all your cookie and other tracking problems will be eliminated.
