I think, LittleWeeb is a bit over-featured, if just one-click/line-dl is the matter. Also some issues open in the bug-tracker (maybe just "holding it wrong" or something).
I've found xdccget which just does the download job. Nothing more and it's tiny. Binary size is below 100 KiB.
Only downside is, that it doesn't build against OpenSSL 1.1.x, just 1.0.2. Well, currently not a severe matter.
Works fine for me for single file and batch requests.

When you actually think about it, almost all are based off mangas. Mangas which have passed the quality test of audience approval.

That's one thing I like about anime. Aside from a few shows like One Piece, nothing goes on for too long. On the one hand that means some shows don't get as much as they should, but it also means the shows can have a clear purpose and never have to "jump the shark".

Try google if you don't know. You will get an answer faster that way.

To clean up my system a bit, I (finally) watched 1-2 episodes of The Simpsons, Bob's Burgers, Family Guy and Our Cartoon President that I had downloaded in the past.
Man, I can't believe it. They were just awful. Is this even possible? How on earth, crappy shows like those are being created for more than 8 years (some of them more than 20 years)?!!! From crappy stories to awful voice acting to unbearable characters, why they even produce such lousy shows?!!!

It's been considered, but it's not really a focus. There are plenty of other websites which already do that, after all.

They're just screenshots from the first episode, of a show that starts that particular season. Usually a major character, so shouldn't be hard to recognise if you skim through the shows of that season.
