If you go to any torrent entry here and read below the post box, "The entire uploading process is done by a bot" I suggest you upload your collections that have their entry here to MEGA, MF or to these kumpulbagi servers, especially those that have a reupload request. Cos they have longer retention time than most of the filehoster used for this site.
Isn't DHT is independent of trackers? AFAIK the trackers in a magnet link are just FYI and downloads work just fine without them. That is, if there are still peers who have the torrent so it can be passed around...
Anyway, it would be lovely to scrape DHT for whatever torrents are still available. I'll try to do that. For now, I'm grabbing whatever's available on archive.org; I already have like 4GB worth of torrent files, including the ones shared by our friendly Admin here.
Thanks, but AT uses two listing sites, TokyoTosho and Anidex.moe Files have to be listed in the category of English-Translated Anime at one of those two sites to be fetched here.
I'm sure you have already seen ppl claiming to have tried all links, only for me to check the post and point out that it's not true. So it won't make much of a diff.
There's already established alternatives though. "Nyaa 2" sounds good in name, but that's about it... If you're looking for something that's just like the original, you might be disappointed. Or if the alternatives aren't good enough for you, perhaps help improve things or at least suggest improvements to them?

Apparently, AcgnX (whoever they are) has much of the Nyaa stuff. The actual torrent files (redirected to their own tracker), not just magnet links. They claim they have "all of it" but they are lying because I couldn't find "Detective Conan important episodes and movies collection" (https://www.acgnx.se/show-fc69adfd295cb3915ad463140572e76912125bd5.html, it should be.) I did find at least 2-3 other random torrents, so it's deff worth checking out.
It's certainly possible, but it's complicated and there's always uncertainty around the accuracy of doing that... Thanks for the suggestion nonetheless.
But they are the ones without peers, so they wouldn't work with a proper torrent file either. Or am I missing something?
By the way, I'm trying to salvage the torrent files from archive.org; there are literally hundreds of thousands of them, especially from before the 600k id.
I can't say that I have a proper backup, but I have copied almost all torent files published via tt, nyaa and leopard-raws since the end of 2014 at https://batyrmastyr.net/torrent_fetch.php?id=1 (sorry, only russian localization, torrent copy link is under «Файл» word). It's not a big deal to provide torrent files dump (14 Gb info hash relevant part + db dump with other torrent file data plus site links excluding authorship) should it be of any use.
That's why i said "in-place." People won't do it manually, because it's a pain. If a script fixes up stuff for their client, that's different. I'm 99% sure nobody's gonna build that script, but I threw it out there just in case :)
Awesome stuff! I truly admire your work on this site. I remember when I first noticed you dump the attachments/subs as a separately downloadable archive for the files, just after I was wishing something like that existed :)
Or somebody could just put together a script that would convert the state files for the more popular clients, in-place. You'd just run it on your computer and all your Nyaa torrents would have all the public trackers in them.
Indeed more options are welcome, Animetosho is a great site, the layout is a true crap (but maybe i'm biased cause the minimalist theme of nyaa) but as torrent aggregrator is a nice alternative for both nyaa ans sukebei. Anidex and Animerena both sucks, Tokyotosho is not bad and is curretly updated pretty well, is my second alternative.
At any point, it's always better if there are multiple options. Especially until something gets established, when even a simple archive can help to keep those torrents alive.
