Well, you wouldn't get a newbie to start a game at the 'extreme' difficulty level, right? Similarly, you don't start using a new host by uploading all the large files =)
If you go to the home page, Ctrl+F and search for "Devhost", I'm sure you'll find some. As for your examples, as mentioned above, files larger than 500MB don't get Devhost links.
The 30 day deletion policy is a little disheartening... Thanks for the pointer though. Anyway, I'm planning to change how subtitles are handled anyway, so I don't really want to put much work into it at the moment. Hopefully your solution with plowdown is good enough for now :P
mega.co.nz doesn't like firefox that much, using plowdown for it. speed is good a second hoster for the attachments would be great, especially for FF-users like me wonderful site :)
It's been asked a fair bit, so there's no harm in giving it a try ;) Currently enabled for files up to 500MB. We've already got a fair number of upload hosts, so I hope the server can handle it, but we'll see.
mplayer is used to make the screenshots. Unfortunately, Windows methodologies don't really work on a headless Linux server. I suppose it could be possible to do something similar on a Linux box, but then there's still the additional complication of seeking to I-frame boundaries that a manual approach probably doesn't have.
What plugin are you using to produce the screenshot? Is it MPC internal or FFMpeg/FFdshow via CMD? You might wanna use replace with compatible plugin for the subtitles to show up in the screenshots. http://wiki.bakabt.me/index.php/Screen...ts#AvsPmod
I'm not sure why you're asking me about it, since I don't use anything like that. I don't think you have many choices if it has to be implemented in PHP anyway, and I wouldn't be surprised that it's completely blocked off. But more realistically, if you somehow pulled it off, the host would probably kick you off pretty quick, considering that many paid non-shared hosts don't like torrents.
hi admin, what php seed box would you recommend to use with a free hosting? I'm trying to install flux but I think the free hosting that I'm using is not compatible, any suggstions for a simple php seed box?
Subtitles sometimes show up in the screenshots, but they usually don't unfortunately. Seems to be a limitation of seeking and subtitle rendering. (I've actually thought about removing them completely, seeing as they rarely show up anyway, as it may allow some interesting ideas of doing raw I-frame extractions)
Fixed timestamps don't really work as files can be of different length. If the files happen to have similar length, the screenshots will generally be around the same time (subject to I-frame alignment) as the script uses the length of the video to determine where to take the screenshots.
Thanks. It wouldn't really work because it's quite tightly integrated with everything else unfortunately. Though see above comment - would switching to another host improve things?
