I now get error 521 from their download links so I assume their download server is down or intermittent (which would affect uploads too).

How come there's no Buzzheavier download option for the full file or audio in all uploads since yesterday?

Here's one example - https://animetosho.org/view/toonshub-b...p.n1896166

Could you please reimplement it?

The link reports "File Not Found Or Deleted" for me.
But when it was active, I didn't notice anything odd from a cursory glance.

Yes, the last segment of the URL is just to get browsers to show the correct filename, so if correct naming isn't a concern, you can put anything there (though extension must be correct).

Unfortunately I don't use Sonarr, so can't give any advice.
If no-one else can help, perhaps try asking people more familiar with Sonarr for assistance.

Hey admin,

I'm hoping whenever you get a chance you can look into something for me.
It looks like the link posted over here  might be malicious or a troll ... I could be wrong but I did try a few things.
I tried downloading the files the user provided twice and the CRCs did not match for some reason and the files wouldn't play in mpv. The mediainfo was a bit weird also. This could definitely be user error, but hoping you or anyone else could take a quick look in case I'm right.

Thanks!

Hi! I'm trying to get the torrent file stored by AnimeTosho. Say I have the URL https://animetosho.org/view/subsplease...kv.1924101 and I wanna derive the direct URL to the torrent file from that like https://animetosho.org/storage/torrent...B].torrent . I want to avoid making another request to the JSON API to get the same. During my testing I also noticed that the last component of the url can be anything? E.g:
Canonical: https://animetosho.org/storage/torrent...B].torrent
Edited: https://animetosho.org/storage/torrent...ar.torrent

Both of these download the same torrent file.

i wanted to setup Animetosho in my Sonarr as an Indexer. I think i did it right but i cant find any Releases from Animetosho when i search manuell. What should i put into the Indexer Tab at Sonarr? I have this as url: https://feed.animetosho.org and as api key 0.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I don't really need 'more respect', though I do think some commenters could definitely show more respect to others in general.
I believe these to be a small (but vocal) minority however; whilst being more restrictive around commenting could discourage them, I believe that it does also discourage plenty of perfectly fine comments. I'm of the opinion that the majority of well intentioned posters shouldn't pay the price caused by a few bad apples.

Being unblocked was short lived. Was unblocked for a short time then blocked again. Guess it is them. No clue why. Live alone and network is pretty locked down. Unless the cat has been online no ones using it. No clue why but contacted their support and crickets so far. I don't know if t was an automated screw up or someone blocked the wrong person. Never been blocked on a website ever in 30+ years.  Odd but nothing can do. Like I said never commented ever their and never made an account to login nor used vpn their so makes no sense. Have to use vpn and mobile for at least now.

There may be seemingly no reason for them to block you, yet you still are blocked by them.

A HTTP 403 is a response from MAL's servers, not your ISP. If your ISP was intercepting or blocking MAL, you wouldn't get a HTTP response at all.

It's possible that MAL blocked someone else that was sharing your IP, and an IP change on your side got you into/out of the block.
In any case, I'm happy to hear that the issue is now resolved.

Thanks for your suggestions, but you don't need to repeat yourself - I understand your point.
There's continuity with the data (DDL info prioritised over torrent), just not the continuity you want (torrent prioritised regardless of DDL).

Batches aren't specifically marked as batches - they just don't have any associated episode tagged (unless there's one of particular importance).

Having said that, I might change it as I'm considering the impacts it'll have, but no promises.

Anilist
AniDB
Kitsu
AnimePlanet

That's why it's best to just make your anime list offline in a text document or something, since online sites can block or ban you anytime they feel like.

Highly doubtful. No reason to be blocked there or anywhere. Don't even have  a login for myanimelist and never commented there even once and never used vpn there prior to the issue.  I rarely comment anywhere but here. Don't do social media and lucky if I comment once or twice a year anywhere online other than here. I'm not banned or blocked anywhere. 2 hours after I called isp it was working again. No more forbidden message.

the site says the entire batch is just episide 9, which is inaccurate. I don't get why you're treating that as an exception while other torrents by LostYears are labelled correctly? I think you should change it man

for example - lostyears torrent for s2 - https://animetosho.org/view/lostyears-...p.n1637123

s3 - https://animetosho.org/view/lostyears-...p.n1852790

In the interest of keeping continuity with other releases I think it's fair to change it. But also, because I think something being labelled as 'episode 9' when its actually an entire season does feel misleading, someone could easily think they clicked on the wrong thing despite information suggesting the contrary.

I see that other LostYears torrents regarding Natsume's Book of Friends are fetched, but the files for S1 was only partially fetched, though? What do I need to do to go about fetching all the files?
Comment in Feedback

Following up from my post where I spotted those errors - It says there it was only partially fetched, and is therefore only displaying episode 9. can you just fetch the whole torrent and display all the files like normal or would that go over the bandwidth? In any case I disagree admin. It's a batch release of the entire season, not just episode 9 can you please change it? Not sure why it's gotta be treated differently while the others were also mislabelled.

hi admin, respectfully I think you should change it to the original series name listing Natsume Yuujinchou (S1) rather than just episode 9, it's causing problems for my streaming client as it's mis-matching the name, I think because it's labelled as episode 9 which is causing a file-naming error for Miru.watch/Miru, since it uses Tosho's API, and I think, it's not behaving correctly cause it's been mislabelled. hope you reconsider.

If MAL is giving you HTTP 403 errors, it's highly likely MAL blocking you, not your ISP.
Thus it's unlikely your ISP can actually do anything, and you're better off seeking help from MAL.

The tagging here is mostly automated and works by making a guess from the name supplied by the uploader.
Sometimes the uploader makes a mistake, other times the automation guesses wrong.

Thanks for raising that.
It got put under episode 9 because that's what got processed. Otherwise the the series was tagged correctly, so it'll show up in the respective series listing, regardless of being tagged with an episode.

The neoHEVC entries have been updated.

I totally agree with this. I don't get the hostility or protest from anon, I just saw some errors and want the admin to fix them as soon as they can. God forbid helping out the community. Also the errors, are usually made the automated system that Tosho uses, not the uploaders, since it's a mirror of Nyaa. So obviously some torrents may get labelled wrong by the system. Just need the entries corrected and I can move on with my day. So much entitlement from internet randoms. If the admin wants more people to help them, they'll ask directly. I don't get people on the internet sometimes. Piracy communities are usually welcoming, unless it's a private tracker site. In that case lol

I don't know how many people report mislabeling or misfiled uploads. Could be only one or two or three but they are helping out. Makes no sense in jumping on people who are trying to help to get mistakes fixed. To many are worried about others and appoint themselves the internet police and all they do in really is run their mouths at anyone they can. Please leave people alone trying to help the community.
The admin used to have a moderator helping him. I think he still does but not positive. If you are worried about the admins time maybe you can offer him your help as a moderator. No clue if he wants more help. He has pointed out many times he like to run this site mostly by himself. Hes also refused donations and ad revenue as long as Ive been coming here for over a decade. If he needed or wanted more help I'm certain he'd ask for it. Sometimes its the automated filing system and sometimes its the uploader's mistake. Having problems fixed helps everyone.

yes, it's the uploader's fault. I've asked the admin to fix errors before, and it usually happens. Check previous comments. It's not a big deal. The database has errors, it's good to point them out and get corrections. Not sure why you're protesting so much? I'm sure the admin can get around to it as soon as they can. Get off my case

I was just pissed. It's an anime site being blocked. Would make more sense if it was this site or a torrent or streaming site It would make sense if it was this one. Just needed to vent about ineptitude over intelligence in a field a tech is supposed to know more than the customer over a virtual impossibility. Isp's these days work in a triangle format so its likely an issue further in the chain. Sorry if my venting offended you.

I truly question the hiring process for network specialists these days. I made a fool of the guy today and he still lacked common sense  understand he lacked it. Mother fucker had the audacity to stick to his guns and keep saying I needed to go to Geek Squad for a website not working. refreshed my dhcp and  dns, reset my devices. I made a fool of the dumbasses and tried to talk sense into him. To dumb to get it I guess. I have 3 laptops, a desktop, two pads and a desktop as well as a cellphone.  Cellphone is 2024 ZS24, main laptop is 2202 i9 Asus octacore so not old shit. My Firetab and i7 laptop and desktop are a little older but the point is there is zero possibility that after turning off 100% of my security on my network that aw website would work fine before 24 hours ago but now completely blocked on my isp for every devices I own with different OS`s and security and some of the devices haven't been started up in months so there is no way an hell my entire network was somehow infected without any signs for the whole purpose of blocking  video review sight. If it was one device sure but when the fucken site works fine through vpn and mobile data but as soon as I switch to straight up isp internet nothing. Sorry I'm ranting but I cant get over the ineptitude of the tech support a my isp. Not the first time these fuckers have been lost. Are they just handing out diplomas to anyone  these days in the field? The guys supervisor wasn't any better. Not saying every isp is inept but mine definitely is Im no networking specialist but have been working with computers since 1982 and fucking with networking for 30 years as well as some deep web shit mostly in the 90s.
Just ranting but damn these morons. To fucken stupid for common sense. Basic networking and common sense isnt that complicated. dude didn't even know what a 403 error was and he is supposed to work as a technician? I told him he lacked common sense dude was lost. Shouldn't have had to ask his boss 5 times how to proceed. Guessing he took a cheap online class for his degree with open tests

I would like to follow up by saying many of neoHEVC's releases are mislabelled.

https://animetosho.org/view/neohevc-na...-1.1554720 - should be labelled under SEASON 1 "Natsume Yuujinchou"
https://animetosho.org/view/neohevc-na...on.1554719 - should be labelled under SEASON 2 - Zoku Natsume Yuujinchou
https://animetosho.org/view/neohevc-na...on.1554718 - should be labelled under SEASON 3 - Natsume Yuujinchou San
https://animetosho.org/view/neohevc-na...on.1554717 - should be labelled under SEASON 4 - Natsume Yuujinchou Shi
https://animetosho.org/view/neohevc-na...on.1554716 - should be labelled under SEASON 5 - Natsume Yuujinchou Go
https://animetosho.org/view/neohevc-na...on.1554715 - should be labelled under SEASON 6 - Natsume Yuujinchou Roku
https://animetosho.org/view/neohevc-na...bd.1554714 - should be labelled under Gekijouban Natsume Yuujinchou: Utsusemi ni Musubu (Natsume Book of Friends the Movie). NeoHEVC already uploaded this movie before but the 2nd uploaded remains mislabelled.

When you see this admin, please correct these entries as soon as you can.

tldr - LostYears batch release should be under the general series banner for s1, i.e Natsume Yuujinchou but it isn't, the LostYears release has been mislabelled to "episode 9" instead. Please correct this.

Suddenly getting a 403 error on  Myanimelist for some reason. Mobile and vpn all good though. Hopefully just server issues with my isp. If they blocked it that would be moronic and the equivalent of blocking Rotten tomatoes or IMDB.

This might come as a surprise to you but anime is not American TV. There's nothing wrong in an obese person trying to fit herself into slim clothes. Fact is it won't work and if it does work you can picture how she's going to look.
