I agree. There are plenty of places to discuss the shows, like on Reddit, Discord etc. I'd quit reading the comments here if this place turned into another fanboi site...
Is there a possibility that Animetosho will become a community, and require users to create an account if they want to submit opinions or messages?
I don't intend to enforce account creation for commenting at the moment. I do value having low barriers to encourage users to share. I'm not sure what you mean by 'community', but if it's like a social network, then no, there's no intention of turning this site into such.
So that this site really discusses anime, not coding. Admin?
I don't fully understand the question, but if it's around the focus of what people comment on, I haven't really prescribed anything in particular. I'm generally open to many things as long as they're "reasonable".
LOL, create a account for a torrent site, is this a joke. Fastes way to get a target. There is always someone stupid that starts babbling ridicules ideas. At lease admin is smart enough not to accept patronage from others.
- The idea of comunity is ridiculous, people just want to download torrents quickly and nicely.
btw, the reason for anonymous comments is so anyone can comment about problems the torrent has such a wrong subs or missing eps or other problems. That's not likely to change.

Somehow not related to AT. But appreciate if sumone got a gdrive backup of ASW or Judas BD release. I was copying them to my drive, paused for a week, came back to find Go.ogle wiped them off (apparently), I asked them from the discord but to no avail ):
https://animetosho.org/view/db-chihaya...5.n1782826 has been mislabelled under Chihayafuru 2: Waga Mi Yo ni Furu Nagame Seshi Ma ni - OAD in the "series" section, please change it to Chihayafuru S3 (https://animetosho.org/series/chihayafuru-3.13841) @ admin
It's a great set-up. I come here mainly for the magnets these days, but sometimes I'll use the DDL. Years ago I would have been glad for the audio files but I retired from doing releases. I can understand the hobby aspect considering I didn't take donations, it was fun for the years I was active and almost all my batch releases are still being seeded.
I wouldn't completely absolve myself from blame. Things didn't quite turn out the way I had hoped, though I didn't think it'd be much of an issue. What I didn't anticipate is that the host's control panel reboot functionality was broken, so I do put most of the blame on them, but it did start with me.
I do try to keep this site functioning as much as I can, but this is a hobby project and I'm not interested in paying for redundancy. Basically it's a "I'll do my best, no promises" setup.
I just really hope an incident like this doesn't happen again but Ik the admin can only do so much with processes and infastracture they have already but I really hope we can minimize incidents like this in the future, maintenance shouldnt cause web server outages like this...
no hate to the admin though I realize it must be a nightmare keeping everything running, it obviously not your fault this happened
feed.animetosho.org should be restored at this point. storage.animetosho.org is still transferring. Since it's been down for a long time, I decided to open it up before it's fully restored. Some stuff will work, some won't.
For those interested in events, the new server got delivered, but had the same issues as the existing one. I had a hunch that the problem was the host's control panel, hence affected all their servers and not mine specifically, but I can only speculate. Since they were offering me refunds, I ordered from a different host. I don't know if I'll stay with them long term, but this arrangement should be fine for now.
At the time of writing, a fair portion has been restored, but to answer your question anyway, it'd take longer to set up something different unfortunately.
has the server been fixed or replaced? our torrent client miru.watch seems to be functioning like normal now-- since we tosho API /secondary web server
