Don't bother downloading. It's effectively a raw unless your media player has some rare font that no one uses. Yes I know this is the fixed one. Well I have MPC-HC latest version with this months codec pac and neither v1 or this v2 appears subbed. The option is listed but as unknown.
I was so happy that these were available, but how can these guys successfully sub ep1 and fail to find a way copy what they did when working on ep2.
Please figure it out soon guys.

Chatter on Nyaa was this series was being released as low resolution webrip first, and later would be released HD, maybe next season, like the current release of Ebiten.

I've thought of fonts, but basically, text is easier because they can be put on pastebin type sites.
Font packages would need to be an upload host and take more effort. So yeah...

Checked the sub site. Apparently they used an uncommon font that most video players don't use.
Version v2 uses a common font as a fix. Think I'll wait for v2 instead of trying to track down a font and load it on my player just to view a single show.

I see a ep2v2 incoming, and a ep1v3.  But this current version does have a subtitles file already (Click above: "#1:und [ASS]") and plays with subs on my potplayer.  On either this or the incoming v2, if you still don't see subs, try selecting the subtitles track manually via your video player subtitles menu selections.

The rule in translation is to only include common and familiar untranslated words, like onee-chan or senshi.  This is just substituting one set of unknowns (Japanese) for another set (German).  It's really too bad of Commie.

If Commie's translator on this project is German, as several have said, perhaps the problem is that a German doesn't know what non-Germans don't know about German.  That, however, doesn't explain what happened to quality control.

Unusable, unless you enjoy some Google Translates pauses with your anime.

Also, thanks as always deadfish for the batches being processed and then being posted here, looks like there's a few more in 'greyed out italics' that may come up soon (pretty please and thank you).  Now I can toss out all kins of oversized HDrips and under rez dvdrips, and they play on all kinds of hardware :)

Just watched their episode 2. Alternate or fully translated option only works for the first half. Sad because while [CR] is better than the origional ep 1 its not as good as commies fully translated version.

Guess we have to wait for the [CR] subs.
This should have an option that gives an all english translation instead of a mostly english translation combined with german language phrases that most will not understand other than 'panzer'. Unfortunately the change only works for the 1st half and you effectively have no option for the second.
I know it's free subs, but when they become total assholes and decide to fill a translated version with untranslated phrases it pisses me off. It's even worse than when [gg] thought filling a sub with commercials was really cool. Most of us flushed all [gg] subs when replacements were available. That is exactly what i will do with this [commie] shit and the [horrible/crunchy] half untranslated crap subs,

Their translator is German, so you know they're gonna have fun with this.

I think the CR version doesn't air for another 2 days, or at least Horrible's release last week was two days after Commie's.  And there wasn't any German in Horrible's release of ep 1, nor in the Hiryuu version.  Only Commie.

I haven't read the manga for this series, if there is one.  Maybe that's where Commie's enthusiasm for the extra German "color" additions comes from.

The silly german word filled crap subs were horrible or straight crunchy rips.
Commie version 1 was 1000% better than that crunchy crap

There was quite a bit of blow-back at Commie's last week because of their decision to make a more "colorful" version of ep 1 of this show by inserting cutesie German phrases into their subs like "Wunderbar" ("wonderful").  There were over two hundred comments about this at Commie's in the first couple of hours alone, mostly -or all- not in favor of the German inserts.  (At least I didn't see any positive ones.)  

So here's where we are now:
ep1v1: More German than Commie intended for release, they said
ep1v2: Less German
This one: ep1v3: Alternate subs, one track with German inserts, one without.  Look for a subtitles menu in your video player to change from one to the other, if you have a preference.

I haven't seen it yet, but I would expect alternate subtitle tracks for future episodes as well.

According to Anime Countdown, MV15 doesn't air for another 2.5 hours.  Using the clock to your left on this webpage, that would be 16:30 today, 14/10/2012.  Last week was the "bump", but this group, zRedShift, took a week to post ep14 which aired on Sept 30th, so it may be another 7 days until they post today's episode.

But Horrible should be posting today's broadcast about 1 hour after it airs.  At least that's how fast they've been for the last several episodes.  --This is just to clarify the situation for anyone who saw your comment and didn't know you were just referring to zRedShift's releases.
