Nyaa dead again.

Any chance we could get more than 10 blacklist words?

I've put 10 groups i don't like in it, but there are a couple more i'd like to banish from existence :/
14/01/2015 09:08 *admin
Have you considered using a feed reader?

Unfortunately the filter can really kill performance, so I'm not really willing to allow too many terms. Sorry about that.
14/01/2015 12:32 *Sicka
Well it was mainly the endless re-encodes i wanted to get rid of (along with Horriblesubs), The filter doesn't remove all of them because it only works on Nyaa stuff.

In anycase i had a brainwave, i've blacklisted ".mp4" instead and that eliminates a lot of the groups i want shot of even without selecting the filter, since there's rarely anything good posted in mp4 format anyway (it's 98% re-encodes or 480p versions). I've added the non-mp4 groups as well and only have 8 slots filled now. Virtually everything i want gone is gone now with this set up, so it's all good.

Question: would it be possible for yukino have something like the zipped attachment we see on AT?
Expecially for the show that don't get fetched here, since some are remuxes and getting the release for the subs only it's a waste.
Just asking, if it's a bad idea np.

Hi! So sorry to trouble you, and please forgive me if this isn't allowed.

I'm actually hoping someone can help me with direct download links for these two torrents:

[nyoron churuya-san]
--> bakabt.me/168231-nyoro-n-churuya-san-nyoron-churuyasan-suzumiya-haruhi-delicio-us-1280x720-h-264-aac.html

[The Melancholy of Haruhi-chan Suzumiya]
--> bakabt.me/160096-suzumiya-haruhi-chan-no-yuuutsu-the-melancholy-of-haruhi-chan-suzumiya-bd-720p-aac-delicio-us.html

They are the specials for the melachony of haruhi suzumiya.. I've been looking for these everywhere and I can't seem to find them, even on anime tosho :( I'm really hoping someone can add these to solidfiles (preferred) or userfiles if at all possible. Or if it's already on this site, can somebody please direct me to them because I really can't seem to find them anywhere.

Again, I apologize if asking for this isn't allowed. I'm relatively new to this amazing site so I don't know how everything works yet. Please forgive me if it's against the rules to ask. Thanks for reading, hoping someone can help.

I can only access the site with a proxy for the last 2 days ._.; did you block certain countrys?
15/01/2015 20:13 — admin
Nope.
Perhaps, if you're able to, try doing a traceroute to maybe get an idea where packets are getting lost.

16/01/2015 01:14 — admin
I'm guessing that's not actually your connection. You'll need to run the trace from your computer (not something you can do from a web page).

Whatever the case, you may have to continue to use a proxy. I don't know of any IP blocks on the server end, and it's probably difficult to fix anything even if you find something.
Can't really help you much unfortunately.

"…try doing a traceroute to maybe get an idea where packets are getting lost."

As of 2 hours ago, I've also been unable to connect to the site without a proxy. I'm not sure what specific info to look for in the data returned by a traceroute, but it showed a "connection timed out" message. It's weird… I was browsing without an issue, but at one point the site just began to hang and hang. Doesn't load at all without vpn or proxy. :(

Called Comcast about it before noticing these comments btw; the reps were baffled and said nothing was blocked on my end.¯\_(ツ)_/¯
17/01/2015 06:09 — Anonymous
I'm another blocked Comcast customer: US west coast

What issue are you referring to?
Only issue I can really see in your output is a dropped packet every now and then...
16/01/2015 08:00 — Anonymous
I never see "No response from host -  100" on working connection.
If I see that usually there's an issue, even if I can connect.
It's based on experience/personal stats, so I can be wrong.
16/01/2015 08:37 — admin
Some routers are just configured to not respond to ICMP requests.
When you don't get a response, it means that either your pings are being ignored, or the server is inaccessible. In the example above, it's the former, since you can ultimately still connect. If it were the latter, all the last entries would have no response.
16/01/2015 17:33 — Anonymous
OK, so it's just a coincidence.
16/01/2015 02:52 — Anonymous
Another proxy victim!  The home page hangs on "server being eaten by monster"
16/01/2015 04:51 — admin
Do you get that message when going through a proxy, or when you aren't?

Are you able to get the HTTP response code?
If you don't know, you can try this:

If you're using Chrome:
Open a new tab, then press F12. Switch to the Network tab, then go to animetosho.org
Once it loads, you should get a red entry in the list. This should have a number in the Status column in the 5xx range - this is the HTTP response code.

I don't have a working instance of Firefox at the moment, but from memory:
Open a new tab, right-click -> Inspect Element. Switch to the network tab (or whatever it's called), then go to animetosho.org
See if there's any item listed with a 5xx number - this is the HTTP response code.

Ah, I've found a proxy that works for messaging at least.  It's called 1freeproxyserver.com  If anyone else has a recommended proxy for full AT features?

1. Inspector now just fails to connect.  No "server eating monster" (no proxy then or now for that)

2. Thanks for the mirror site.  I will live happily in the voiceless void of the mirror Negaverse for all eternity.

3. Is this Phr0stY's revenge?!
17/01/2015 08:33 — Anonymous
Latest try w/out proxy I get this much:

"Latest Updates
6th January 2015: AT now f"
17/01/2015 09:41 — admin
Ah, I have indeed made posting comments a bit more difficult from a proxy, due to various undesirable comments posted from proxies in the past.
Sorry about that. Glad you've found a solution though.

Did a trace and it timed timed out on the 10th hop.

mp2-gw1-po28.msk.anders.ru [81.91.177.245]

Request timed out.

Maybe add additional NS that don't go through RU?
16/01/2015 05:42 *admin
That's interesting - you're getting dropped just before you hit the server.
Though I don't know as to why... Host claims they don't IP filter either.

If you don't want to go through a proxy, there's a mirror site: https://mirror.animetosho.org/
It doesn't have comments / user facilities though.
17/01/2015 10:51 — Anonymous
The problem happened to me too, yesterday. https://animetosho.org always gave me request timeout while mirror.at.org work fine.

My location is Jakarta, ID.
ISP: Firstmedia

I can already access the site now, though.
16/01/2015 10:23 — Anonymous
Mirror Site works for me too... at least no more proxy.

"3. Is this Phr0stY's revenge?!"
Yeah... what did we do to deserve that...

Thank you for this wonderful site. Thanks for the MEGA links. It's one of the reliable sites to download where I'm from.
