The hidden screenshots working correctly, except when I disable JavaScript :)
28/12/2014 05:23 — admin
Not really much can be done about that if you disable Javascript...

Should be fixed now, thanks for reporting.

Please fetch TokyoTosho Batch category, sometimes groups not register in nyaa but only TT and submit only batch release in Batch category.
29/12/2014 07:30 — admin
Unfortunately the batch category contains raws and non-English releases which I'm trying to avoid.
In addition, I suspect many of the batches would get skipped anyway.

If there's a particular batch you want though, you can post here and I'll see if it can be pushed through.
Thanks for the pointer.

Admin-san I think you should show how many comment at the pages.
03/01/2015 14:58 — admin
What pages are you referring to?

I think he refers to front page, that shows how many comments for the link.

Like at Nyaa, it would be the "Msg" column.
04/01/2015 13:01 — admin
If so, I actually removed the column because I found it fairly pointless, considering that most items don't have any comments... >_>

Hey Admins, thought you might want to know:  Uppit is corrupting files.

I downloaded (for example, but could be any files) "[Doki] Elfen Lied - 12 (848x480 h264 BD AAC) [AFD3CB30].mkv".   I ran cksfv on the file, and it returned a checksum of B59A9996.   This is obviously wrong.    I've tested five different files, and they all have the same problem.

The file size downloaded from Uppit doesn't match the size here on AT.   AT lists as 286821231 bytes, but Uppit sends 286821238 bytes.   That's 7 extra bytes.   On some files it is more, on others it is less.  If you look inside the file, there's a bunch of extra zeros on the end.   This breaks things.

If I trim it down to the correct file size, then the checksum computes correctly again.
dd if=/dev/null of="[Doki] Elfen Lied - 12 (848x480 h264 BD AAC) [AFD3CB30].mkv" bs=1 seek=286821231

Please add a notice, or disable Uppit, or maybe check your upload scripts, or something.   :-)

Thanks!

This might not be Uppit's fault.   Instead, it might be a problem inside the Go4Up uploader.

I'm currently downloading "AnimePlazaSubs Gundam Reconguista in G - 14_-_720p.mkv", which AT says is 366910346 bytes, but 180Upload is sending 366910354 bytes.

I just finished "[Commie] Log Horizon 2 - 12 [5E7B1809].mkv" from Share-Online.   AT says 342399391 bytes, but Share-Online sent 342399397 bytes.

They all have extra zeroes on the end.  They all fix to correct CRC32 when the zeros are removed.   :-)

Thanks for pointing that out and all the investigation.
Note added.

I can't see the hash change option that Tibb points out below. Maybe it's only for registered users?
05/01/2015 19:12 — Tibb
Yeah, it's only for registered users. My guess is that it is enabled by default for everybody.

Ah I see, thanks for the information :)
04/01/2015 07:56 — Tibb
Go4Up recently introduced a MD5 file hash change feature, my guess is that somehow it is enabled even though it shouldn't be?
To be honest, I don't mind this mistake, it could help delay the file deletion process by having an unique CRC/MD5. Of course though, it's not good if you wish to seed/index the torrents.
04/01/2015 13:16 — Anonymous: "Anonycat"
I noticed this behaviour too, but I tought of a simple workaround: check the downloaded file(s) against the torrent.
You just need to have the correct filename and the torrent client will fix the file, without needing to download any data.
05/01/2015 10:12 — Anonymous: "Stoner"
How to trim to correct filesize?
06/01/2015 01:58 — admin
You'll need to remove the additional 0's appended to the file.
If you're familiar with a hex editor, just go to the end of the file and delete all the 0's.
Otherwise, I'm not sure if there's a foolproof method of doing it. You can try the torrent method suggested above.
Otherwise, it may be more effort than it's worth.

WHOEVER IS UPLOADING [Phr0stY] UPLOADS DUE KNOCK IT OFF. I DONT WANT MY ANIME ON THIS SITE IN ANY FORM. THIS SITE DOES NOT SUPPORT MY SEEDING.
05/01/2015 17:21 — dna
I don't want your animes on this site either, unfortunately all torrents up to some-gig will be uploaded.

I'm sure the company who made this anime don't want any of your torrents up anywhere... the moment you submitted the torrent you lost 'ownership' of it, deal with it.

kthxbye

The upload is done automatically, so when it's uploaded to Nyaa or TT, it will be automatically added. The exception could be made (I think), admin will do it somehow.

but "my anime" you say? Even the group that translating, editing, typesetting, encode the capping don't say it's their anime.
And to be honest, I never download your releases so I never know how good those.
06/01/2015 17:22 — Anonymous: "Anolol"
frostyon420, you really think along the lines of "MY STUFF" for anime you illegally rip and share?
How funny. Really.
The instant you put stuff online your control on it becames nil. Live with it.

-admin wrote this guy a note the last time he complained.  frostyon420 never responded.
-AT seeds what it downloads
-If he thinks people will torrent if they can't dl, he's nuts.

06/01/2015 02:01 — Anonymous
Strip Phr0stY's name out of his titles on the AT homepage.  I volunteer to help do it, if it can't be automated.

He can hardly complain, can he.

Rephrasing from a previous comment:

As mentioned before, no-one specifically uploads anything to this site so it's not a simple matter of "stopping". We are just a mirror/copy of Nyaa/TokyoTosho's anime category.

However, I can implement a rule for the bot to ignore/skip your releases if you so desire. I do need some way to verify that you are indeed who you claim to be (I'm sure you wouldn't like it if someone impersonated you). Pointing to a comment under your account at Nyaa, mentioning what you want from us, should be suffice, but I'll let you decide how you want to do this.
I'm happy to help you, but I need some response from you to move forward.

I'd like to mention that the bot does seed back torrents more than it downloads.

Our squiggly text game where the aim is to copy the image into the textbox. All characters are upper case, and there are no zeros (0) and ones (1) in the above image. Apparently bots aren't as good as humans at this game.
