Is the site having update issues today? Some of the most recent stuff already up on Nyaa have not come yet.
06/10/2016 20:09 — Anonymous
Specifically, recent HorribleSubs and Deadfish/Bakedfish releases.
06/10/2016 20:14 — admin
Nyaa have re-routed all requests via CloudFlare, which essentially breaks every RSS reader out there :(
I'll look for a solution, though it may not be easy.
06/10/2016 20:17 — Anonymous
Thanks for the info. Hope you can find a solution.
06/10/2016 20:47 — Anonymous
Well, that was fast... Thanks!
07/10/2016 00:04 — admin
No worries!

(I actually did nothing, Nyaa fixed themselves)
07/10/2016 15:47 — Anonymous
Sorry for bother, but seems it's happening again.

is there a reason the ddl links from solidfiles are being uploaded as .7z files instead of the regular files as they were before? i personally find this to be an inconvenience as i use solidfiles to stream stuff without needing to download. having to download the 7z to unpack makes it impossible to stream
09/10/2016 01:48 — admin
It was done to improve upload reliability, as they were otherwise rejected at times.
It's interesting to hear that someone is trying to use links here for streaming, despite us not really targeting that purpose.
There are many streaming services out there though - out of interest, is there any particular reason why you'd prefer to stream off Solidfiles rather than use those?
15/10/2016 12:20 — Anonymous
i exclusively watch anime on my phone and with mxplayer im able to watch shows instantly without suffering the downsides of "streaming" such as overly compressed videos, inability to choose subs, watermarks, ad-filled websites, and low resolution video. solidfiles is one of the hosting file sites that doen't limit you to 50kB/s-150kB/s transfer rate so it's ideal for this purpose.
i understand that i might be a minority but when a new
show is released and im unsure on whether i wanna watch it then solidfiles was able to let me instantly skim through the show or watch the beginning without needing to wait for a download to finish
16/10/2016 00:57 — admin
Very interesting to hear that use case - thank you for explaining that!

Unfortunately, AT wasn't really designed with that purpose in mind, and I'm not sure whether we can easily support it in the long term.
I've disabled the 7z wrapping on future uploads to Solidfiles, but it may need to be re-enabled should issues arise.

Is streaming via Solidfiles really ideal though? I feel that there should be a better solution...
16/10/2016 20:28 — Anonymous
thanks. there might be but it was such a minor problem that i didnt bother and i love this site too much to look for alternatives. being able to "stream" files in their original form just adds to the list of pros this site has over TT and nyaa
16/10/2016 03:27 — Anonymous
I don't want advertise here but there are lots of yify streaming sites out there for anime. just saying...
16/10/2016 13:07 — Anonymous: "BetaMAX"
He/she wants a solution with original bitstream data, without ads and usage of external player. So, very special needs.
09/10/2016 11:21 — Anonymous: "BetaMAX"
To make things clear: Stream *is always* download. The difference is only a matter of local data storage (temporary/partial or complete).
Well, I see, unpacking is somewhat a small extra effort.
07/10/2016 17:21 — MikeyS
It seems the site is not updating again... is it Nyaa's fault again or something else?
09/10/2016 01:52 — admin
They seem to be a bit temperamental in that regard at the moment, yes :/
08/10/2016 10:14 — Anonymous: "Pepperjet"
Just signed up at Kametsu, found your website, and downloaded this file:

https://animetosho.org/file/bleach-347...gos.211907

And a nasty bit of malware called Spyware.HawkEyeKeyLoggerwas downloaded with the file (at no extra cost)!

It was a WinRAR_(32bit)_v4.2.exe file.

Please clean up your downloads.

Thanks!
08/10/2016 23:17 — Anonymous
You leave out the only important info, which would be which download service did you use?  The file itself is perfectly fine.

You always have to be careful about download services, especially when the file was deposited there over a year ago.  Company owners and their policies change and there's no way to track such things.

But if you're not well provided for protection, consider clicking on the individual episodes of releases and look for something called the "Direct" link.
09/10/2016 02:59 *admin
The file itself is perfectly fine
I'll clarify that this is referring to the file we upload, not the EXE.
Thanks for the useful comment though!

Note that I'm somewhat making the assumption that everyone here is technically knowledgeable enough not to download or run any executable file from file hosting websites. This should be true anywhere you go on the internet - do not run executables from sources you don't trust, or where you shouldn't need to (i.e. there is no reason why you should run EXEs when you're expecting video files).
09/10/2016 13:09 — Anonymous: "Pepperjet"
Very good.  Thanks!  Will not run an EXE again when expecting a video file.  I think that was the only thing offered when I selected the "Direct" link though.
09/10/2016 13:51 — Anonymous: "BetaMAX"
The direct link of the mentioned video works perfectly fine for me and provides 7z archive with only the video file. So there was likely another cause. But now you know how to handle the things in case of misbehavior.
10/10/2016 05:14 — admin
likely another cause
The fact that he was offered a WinRAR download, for a .7z file, seems very suspicious.
But I'll leave it at that.
11/10/2016 02:57 — Anonymous: "Pepperjet"
Suspicious indeed, ...to a younger person.  Over 90 here, but catching on.  A shame all this cool stuff wasn't around during WWII...;-)
11/10/2016 03:05 — Anonymous: "Pepperjet"
Yes, the next episode loaded without a hitch.  Fortunately able to fix the problem and evict key logger from registry.  Very tempted to learn how to identify the perp and return the favor...;-)

lol

*facepalm*

This should be internet 101.
17/10/2016 12:02 — Anonymous: "Pepperjet"
Ha!  Head back slap indeed!  With y'alls help will be graduating to internet 101.1 soon...;-)
09/10/2016 13:04 — Anonymous: "Pepperjet"
Thanks!  Learning fast here indeed.  I thought the service was Anime Tosho.

Yes, I did use the "Direct" link and the password provided.

I have good protection, will give it another try on next episode.
09/10/2016 00:11 — Anonymous
That's why using adblock service is MANDATORY nowadays
09/10/2016 13:12 — Anonymous: "Pepperjet"
Excellent advice.  Have been running Adguard AdBlocker for a few years now on Chrome and Firefox.  Seems to work very well.

Seems like all recent Bakedfish releases are not getting through.

This one joins the list: http://www.nyaa.se/?page=view&tid=858203

10/10/2016 05:02 — admin
Thanks for the examples! (have been using them to confirm that recovery worked fine)
They should now all be working.

I'm working on a solution to deal with Nyaa's/CloudFlare's outbursts.
09/10/2016 19:21 — Anonymous
Sorry to ask, but is there an issue with recent Bakedfish releases? They made it to Nyaa but not in AT. And this happened days ago.
09/10/2016 20:04 — Anonymous
It stop fetching all Nyaa-only releases so probably it's Nyaa problem again.
09/10/2016 20:05 — Anonymous
Thanks.
09/10/2016 20:56 — Anonymous
Given how this is becoming a trend, Nyaa should do something about it.

I have no idea because I can't find this specific release by C-W for this anime, not even on a private tracker or nyaa (maybe I'm suck at searching) so I can only take a wild guess and say that the resource is probably DVD. Where did you find this release again?
11/10/2016 14:40 *naramaki
from this link:

http://nibl.co.uk/bots.php?search=Brig...wning Blue

So it's very necessary to know if it's a DVD version or not.

Here's a dvd version available here:
