Did ShanaProject ever accept uploads? I thought it mostly pulled content from TT (and sometimes from Nyaa, cross-posting to TT).

It may be possible, but there's a few hurdles. One major one is they don't do categorisation of any kind, so I can't filter out non anime stuff easily. Do you happen to know of a way to do this?

Minglong doesn't have this feature, as far as I know. You have to manually blacklist a groupname as a keyword in your script. Here's the full rss:

Minglong has only a handful of fansub groups that are listed on main page. Picking out anime subbers from that won't be hard but nothing stops anime groups from releasing live-action once in a while or vice-versa. Most of them will probably post on TT and the rest will be posted on TT by someone else so I don't think there's need to hurry and make quick solutions. Plus, they do some DDL themselves.

Thanks for the response, but I suspect that they simply don't have the feature and I doubt they'd be willing to manually go through everything and categorise it.
I'm also not willing to maintain blacklists either - don't have the time/effort really.

Sorry about that. Perhaps hope that kind souls are willing to go to the effort of categorising new entries by posting them to TT/AniDex.

Should be easy to write a php/perl/python script to grab magnet uri from torrents on selected popular fansub groups on minglong.
May be post a notice on top of AT, so an AT user/visitor with that programing skills with make one for us?

I don't think assuming that all/most of the fansubs there only ever release into a single category...

Have temporarily disabled AniDex. Torrent download links are broken, and many magnet links aren't resolving.
I'll turn it back on once they fix most of the site.

I suspect you could whitelist by comparing the filename (after conversion to a known romanisation and removal of stopwords) to names of known animes.

It's certainly possible, but it's complicated and there's always uncertainty around the accuracy of doing that...
