Apparently, AcgnX (whoever they are) has much of the Nyaa stuff. The actual torrent files (redirected to their own tracker), not just magnet links. They claim they have "all of it" but they are lying because I couldn't find "Detective Conan important episodes and movies collection" (https://www.acgnx.se/show-fc69adfd295cb3915ad463140572e76912125bd5.html, it should be.) I did find  at least 2-3 other random torrents, so it's deff worth checking out.

https://www.acgnx.se/user-4-1.html - Beware, the site looks horrible and they do some CloudFlare magic to make scraping a pain...

Thanks, but AT uses two listing sites, TokyoTosho and Anidex.moe  Files have to be listed in the category of English-Translated Anime at one of those two sites to be fetched here.

you mean like nyaa cache sites? they won't have new content, they are cache only.

or do you mean public torrents sites like TPB/BTS/SRG? they don't have any separate category for "anime".

So neither would work.

@Admin

I am curious did you add this DDL's to newly added episodes / torrents by some script or humans do it with software like z-o-o-m?

Do you need help maybe with uploading?

Regards
05/05/2017 12:48 *RamenSub
If you go to any torrent entry here and read below the post box,
"The entire uploading process is done by a bot"
I suggest you upload your collections that have their entry here to MEGA, MF or
to these kumpulbagi servers, especially those that have a reupload request.
Cos they have longer retention time than most of the filehoster used for this site.
05/05/2017 14:45 — supik
Is there any sense to upload to MEGA while it's not mega longer? I mean it's now in chinese hands and have transfer limit.

Also is there any reupload request section where i could help people?

Ps. I like this "My pirate life was Unlimited Upload Works" sounds like my life :)

Just lurk here, once in a while there'd be some.
For recent ones, there's this anon who keep pestering for these 4 torrents. I forgot what were the other 3, one of them is ozc release of planetes.
I didn't archive those cos they are all big, like bigger then 13 GB.

huehue, for someone with just 2.5 TB of space but upload/download capacity of 2.5 TB per month. I end up uploading lots of stuffs. :v

p.s. transfer limit? Just make an account there.

They improve since last time i checked it, they are doing a good job is trying to restore the databse and made the same minimal but fast and amazing interface as Nyaa. Sukebei part need work too.

Hopefully they get it working at 100% soon, thsi is the right step in the right direction.

@Admin: I see you have a nyaa dump avail, with sukebe too. And on top of that, with dates!
I dare to ask :could you please make it searcheable?
I'd like to recover last month of comiket from there and searching, coupled with filtering, would make it easier.
Thanks anyway

I want stuff that's on sukebei, with dates.
sukebei/nyaa.pantsu.cat, doen't have a single date.
05/05/2017 20:28 — Anonymous
sukebei version is incomplete.

https://nyaa.pantsu.cat/ has dates
06/05/2017 06:06 — Anonymous
I see, you didn't read my post at all.
nyaa.pantsu.cat does NOT have the content that was on sukebei, and sukebei.pantsu.cat has no dates.

Go back and read again.
06/05/2017 14:36 — Anonymous
And again, you don't understand. https://nyaa.pantsu.cat/ has dates, but not for the content I want (sukebei).

I could set up search, but I'd have thought the other efforts out there would've done something by now?
If not, you could import the database into a MySQL server (one's included in XAMPP, not sure if there's lighter packages out there) and search that.

If no-one seems interested otherwise, I could consider adding search.
06/05/2017 06:19 — Anonymous
well, the other "save nyaa data" out there did a lot, but all the ones I know of didn't have dates for the content of sukebei.
Maybe they'll do it later on. TT has dates, but I can't automate the grabbing of magnet links.

I noticed that your dump has dates, and it would be perfect for me since I need only the last 1-2 months time wise.
I have no experience with SQL, that's why I asked for a search function, similar to what AT already has for the normal content.

If it's better for you, another option would be having more entries /page; if there were, like 200 or more, I could just download them all till the date I want, and filter manually; doing that right now would take ages...
08/05/2017 04:00 — admin
So surprisingly, none of mirrors out there have imported any of the data. Is anyone able to ask them to do such a thing?
I'll look at adding a search or implementing your suggestion, but I don't have lots of time to do so, unfortunately, so apologies if it takes time.
08/05/2017 10:20 — admin

I'm not that panic as long as aniDB still around.
Cos you (even the group themselve) can add new release to the DB, and you can put your contact and site info there.
Perhaps in the future aniDB will be our main source of update. :v

Hmmm... aniDB doesn't violate any copyright law do they? :/

p.s. seriously mate, you should start googling before asking anything over the net already.
> Post proof please. Otherwise you might be the one who did it.

Okay, okay, dont get angry....  I thought it was just a sort of "wiki" for anime info? I apologize but I dont understand. How can we use aniDB to fetch anime? Please explain. Isnt AT the nerve centar of anime downloading thru links instead of torrent? If I loose AT, I will never be able to download anime again.

This?
http://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=main
06/05/2017 16:54 — RamenSub
Wasn't angry, just giving some advice.
AT not really the center, there's animethehylia, chautanh and tokyoinsider. AT is just the fastest in fetching and have loads of DDL alternative.

How to use anidb for your anime fix?
There's notification function, turn them on for anime you want to watch or have watched.
You'd be notified if there's a new release.
Open the group entry for the group who did the release.
Open their site to see how and where to download said release.

- Just yesterday, I got a file that no torrent of it has no seeder I contact the group that release the file and got DDL from them.
- A few months ago, some guy contacted me to ask for my release of Chiba Pedal and Chou Hatsumei Boy Kanipan.

DDL and torrent tracker sites simply makes your life easier, but that doesn't mean that's the only way to get your anime.
May I know how you came across AT tho?
I found out about this site from some friends.

> 10-bit anime rips dont exist

Can depend on the definition of "rip". I don't think any anime source exists which has >8-bit colour depth, and I suspect that it may not even be mastered higher than 8-bit.
All 10/12-bit encodes you find are likely upsampled from an 8-bit source.

Still, I'm not sure it's something I'd stop talking to someone over.

dang. Haven't use any of those for ages since I learnt of torrent. xD
But nowadays groups tend to make their own website then use torrent, DDL, XDCC or all.
06/05/2017 19:01 — Anonymous
those are other filesharing protocols beside Bittorrent. rare/old stuffs gets posted there before re-postings on public torrents appear.

I don't know, but just last night I started thinking about backing up AniDB...
06/05/2017 17:03 — RamenSub
That would be great.
Prioritize group entries first if you (or anybody else) do. :'v
06/05/2017 17:24 — timo97
It's a bigass graph so group entries reference episodes which reference titles, or something like that. You can't just get the group entries without the stuff they depend on. But that's just technicalities. AniDB is truly a gem, it needs to be saved for posterity no matter what.
06/05/2017 18:30 — Anonymous
06/05/2017 20:01 *timo97
It can be done in a polite way, taking a few months or a year to go through it, and then it wouldn't account for more than an infinitesimal ratio of all traffic. Another option: kindly ask the admin to provide database backups, with incremental updates. It's not like AniDB is a for-profit site (they don't even have ads! kudos for that), so I can't see why that would be an issue (but I'm generally naïve.)
06/05/2017 20:07 — Anonymous
You are. Just ask on AniDB IRC/forum and you will get your response.
07/05/2017 01:17 — admin
They actually provide a more efficient way to grab parts of the database: https://wiki.anidb.net/w/AniDB_O'Matic
Data is encrypted, but it does give you a local copy.
07/05/2017 01:32 — Anonymous
It's an issue because you will be ripping off other people's hard work.
07/05/2017 04:48 — admin
Whose exactly?
AniDB is mostly a community effort, from what I can tell. How would a backup of that be "ripping off other peoples' hard work"?
(besides, we're a sharing community, aren't we?)
07/05/2017 13:03 — Anonymous
the aniDB users. all info on anidb is added and corrected by volunteer users. it's not right on just copy with it with a botscript and starts posting it everywhere.
07/05/2017 14:01 *timo97
Are you really this oblivious of the context? I'm talking about scraping it to avoid a similar shitfest we're having right now.

As for your "ripping off other people's hard work" comment, I share admin's point of view: it's a community effort, and it belongs to the community. Not to mention the irony/hypocrisy around the idea that you're worrying about coping what people freely gave away but you're fine downloading stuff whose copyrights ("COPY-RIGHTS", get it??) are explicitly restricted by the owner.
07/05/2017 14:08 — Anonymous
right, Wikipedia is the biggest piracy heaven on the internet.

Information wasn't gave away to you to leech. It was contributed in good faith for the said website.

08/05/2017 02:23 — admin
It was contributed in good faith for the said website.
Incorrect, it was contributed for the sake of informing others.
The website is merely a platform which enables the general public to "leech" information - if it wasn't, the general public wouldn't be able to access said website.
08/05/2017 02:46 — Anonymous
Reading the information on the site itself and scraping the data with script for the purpose of posting on a new site are two different things.
08/05/2017 03:49 — admin
As is scraping data for the purpose of preserving history and knowledge, wouldn't you think? Similar to what the Internet Archive attempts to do.

I can't see any ill intent here, neither can I see how anyone is hurt (figuratively) by it being done. I'm presuming that the scrape isn't being used for profiteering purposes, neither is it attempting to remove attribution.
