It says that the file is broken and it can't display the files!? But it works. Did TT corrupts it, or something? Did I screw something up?

Edit: I used nyaa's dead http but I also add 2 open trackers... it can't work without a private tracker?

Edit: we don't seem to have PM options... or alerts of a reply? Well, I saved the page. Goodnight~

Edit: Oh, it can't see the torrent files because nyaa's tracker died and it needs a magnet link to find the torrent. It still works.

Duplicates are sometimes blocked here as we mostly focus on new content (sorry, limited bandwidth availability).

There's no support for any advanced social/user interaction here. Strictly speaking, this is just a feedback page (but being used for all sorts of other purposes).

it's been a while sending a feedback here so, admin where did your avatar came from coz I think I saw it on Eromanga-sensei's opening theme when I watched it closely.
08/05/2017 11:34 *admin
Hmm, I've had this avatar before that started airing. So did I get it from there, or perhaps, they got it from me?
Maybe if you look hard enough, you'll find some more hints...

There's no deep meaning. I just wanted a hug (and some post whoring).
As a kind fellow mentioned below, it's from Eromanga-sensei's spiritual predecessor, from which it takes a lot from.

Just as I thought. It's obvious that admin's avatar isn't from Eromanga-sensei but I can't be that sure about the reverse ^_^
admin has had this avatar since about 6 years ago while the mentioned anime has started to air just recently.

Likely nobody is that insane to use such a low CRF to get 10 Mbit @1080p HEVC (talking about anime, not live action, which needs higher bitrate!). 10 Mbit anime would be in a range of CRF 12 to 13.5, I guess.
A typical setup for high quality 1080p anime is CRF 16 or maybe 15 these days . Getting into video encoding just a little bit would really help...
Doki staff encodes HEVC 10-bit from raw BD source (with CRF 15/16). So just search Doki 1920 HEVC BD here at AT.

"So CRF is not the same as video bit rate?"
Video quality (image quality) equals bit rate (with a little bit of compromise). The higher the bit rate, the better the image (video) quality. CRF is just a parameter in video encoding world that loosely relates to video bit rate (by defining how much data is thrown away from original video during compression process).
To know a video quality one asks about video bit rate not CRF.

MediaInfo does show value of CRF (just wherever video is encoded using CRF).

And a 20000 kbps HEVC video?!  (o_O)    While Blu-ray disks mostly use AVC with maximum bit rate of 40 Mbps.
I really don't think you can find such a video in anime world. (You should have the Blu-ray disk itself to encode such a video from it)

As already noted here, nobody encodes with a target of 20 Mbit as this would be little gain compared with the BD itself.
Here someone muxed a raw BD dump of the IS2 OVA episode (35 Mbit, 8.3 GiB overall):
https://animetosho.org/file/infinite-s...dio.370640
Honestly, if you want max quality, I would suggest to go for the BD itself. You have two options:
Easy: Just buy it.
Harder: Get the raw BD dump and container it playable.*

* Needs the ability to fetch huge torrents (7...15 GiB per episode) and the knowledge how to handle the dumped fileset.

Don't get me wrong. DanMachi is not a bad show per se it just wallows in mediocrity and is super boring. Art and fanservice, even some jokes are ok, but not more than ok.
I'm glad you found some anime you like and share the passion of all people here, but you're gonna have a stroke if you find some of the truly good shows out there if DanMachi really affected you in such a way.

I've watched every anime.  I like DanMachi.

I don't like the taste of coffee, but it would be stupid for me to try and convince those who do like coffee that they shouldn't like coffee.  That's the kind of stupid you're doing.

When downloads are free only idiots should listen the opinions of critics instead of watch and decide for themselves.
09/05/2017 22:45 — codemon
Well mr I've watched every anime you're clearly lying.
DanMachi is a mediocre show. You can argue taste however you want the fact of the matter is there are a lot more harem/different world anime out there that are much funnier (KonoSuba), better executed and waaaay better plot(no game no life for instance). There is nothing redeeming about it.

But I get you. I was a narutard long ago and thought that was the pinnacle of anime when that was the only thing I'd watch. If you actually had completed many shows as you claim you'd probably be aware there are better ones out there. This isn't even my main genre and I can still name 2 better shows off the top of my head.
Call me stupid all you like, I just want to expand your horizons a bit.

Bet the guy haven't watch The Tower of Druaga. :v
09/05/2017 23:25 — codemon
Yeah, probably not Re:Zero either. Like I said not really my genre, but I know a few shows.
I watched DanMachi out of curiosity to see what the fuss was about and I was whelmed at best.
But hey, beginning your post with "I've watched every anime" then calling the other person stupid is always a great way to make your point. Really helps his case that he's an anon too :D
10/05/2017 00:26 — Anonymous
I hated Re:Zero.  I quit after about ep16.  I hate all time-rewind plots.  And Tower didn't hold my interest.

Your taste is your taste.  That's all there is to it, sorry for you.

Critics are only useful if they might save someone some money, like on not buying tickets to a lousy movie.  When the shows are free to watch, your criticisms are pointless and people who take your word for it are fools.  And they are not real fans if they don't watch and decide for themselves.

If you really want to have an opinion about such things the place to start is literature, from the ancients to the moderns and manga to some extent.

My guess is you're trying to find some skill or benefit you could have developed to justify the time you've spent on anime.  Sorry.  It was just entertainment.

I have 120TB of anime on 26 USB drives.  I've run out of letters of the alphabet to name them.
10/05/2017 01:49 *codemon
Troll harder please. You and that HEVC is worse than h264 should get a room.
Poor you 26 drives and run out of letters, data01-26 would be too hard a naming scheme lel.

So what? That dude grinding ants then wolves for no apparent reason in DanMachi, chicks fawning over him again for no apparent reason, an old fart saying rrrrromance, onsen OVA is what you call top class anime? It's been done yo and better, it's a rehash. And 120TB of anime (though I don't belive that 1 bit)  should know better.

Re:Zero had proper characters that evolve, plot, intrigue and you're telling me a dude with an XP hack is interesting?
KonoSuba (S1 atleast) is way funnier with a more realistic approach, the universe it build makes sense. DanMachi spawns
ants then rats just cuz different dungeon levels yo.
No game no life has some really clever stuff  esp the battle with that angel thing.

But nah man, some XP hack dude that does a grindfest, is saved like a little bitch then gets a magic dagger that's paid for in BJ's ... that's like top level shelf stuff. Kids these days will watch anything I guess.

Honestly defend your show. Rn you're trying to impress me with your (possible) anime collection, but surely if you have this show in such high regard you can name at least a few interesting/funny/entertaining items about it.

Otherwise you're just trolling, but I'm bored and kinda wanna be amused :D
10/05/2017 02:00 — Anonymous
You suggested that you've somewhat outgrown Naruto.  What I've outgrown is thinking anyone needs or wants my opinions about anime, even though I'm chock full of information.

For your own growth, start by noticing how no one ever asks for your opinions.

What you can't enjoy tells me something about you, not about anime.
10/05/2017 02:28 — codemon
Welp no one asked you about DanMachi, but you posted it anyway.
No one asked me to reply either, but I replied anyway. It's ok though, that's what makes us human.

I still can't help but notice is that even when asked you still dodge the question regarding your opinion about a show you
obv hold in high regard. Even coffee has to have some attributes you like: it's bitter, it's hot etc ...
But not one word about it. So yeah ... at least you got a new naming scheme for your 26 hdds lel

Admin is probably crying rn  cuz of all the bandwidth this convo took.
10/05/2017 05:53 — admin
Even coffee has to have some attributes you like: it's bitter, it's hot etc
Does it really matter? Do opinions need justification?
I don't really see much point in trying to identify a source of enjoyment. Perhaps I like X. Maybe it's because of Y, or maybe Z, but to whom does it matter?

Of course, if everyone held that philosophy, it'd be pretty boring as there'd be little debate, so just ignore what I said and continue.
10/05/2017 09:00 — codemon
Sorry for teh drama guys. I see some of you even grabbed some popcorn lol.
I will admit I got a bit triggered by that 120TB of anime statement. Not saying its not possible but Idk if animetosho has processed that much in the last 6 months. Maybe in the last year but eh ...

I agree to different strokes for different folks but damn, you could at least mention what parts you like. You didn't like Re:Zero cuz time jumps and stuff like that. I liked it partly because of that, even though they could be a little jarring. Boom! our tastes don't match. I'm fine with that.

Identifying sources of enjoyment is crucial to people finding out other sources of the same stuff. That's what brings us here.
That's what sparked this conversation. But there are similar tropes that have been executed better. What parts did you like? The adventure, exploration? The comedy? The fantasy setting? The harem stuff? Hestias boob ribbon? Ok, last one hasn't been executed better.
I even see romance as a tag on MAL but I'm not even gonna touch that with a 10 feet pole.

What scenes made you laugh? What made you cry? What kept you at the edge of your seat? I'm genuinely curious bcz I found very few good and original scenes of the sort in this show. But this is just like, my opinion man.
10/05/2017 14:28 — Anonymous
This is the internet, if something sucks, then everyone will gang up on it. And always, the collective opinion of many is what matters. DanMachi is just another seasonal anime that will be forgotten once it's over.

10/05/2017 17:07 — codemon
ThatClockWorkPlanetGuy so you're the HEVC vs h264 dude? From what I gather from your posts lately you're actually testing encoding yourself? Mad props in that case.
I tried dabbling with handbrake a bit but their binaries of x264 and x265 are not always up to date and you need nightly to get 10, 12 bit encoding working. I also have a weak i3 so x265 takes ages. The internet provides what I want so there's literary no reason.
BTW I also have ~500 GB of anime but filled with mostly mini 10 bit x264 stuff so idk 3-4 TB with high quality rips is a possibility; but not 120TB no way man, noone has that kind of time to watch all that shit. I mean even r/datahoarder rarely has that kind of people, and it's usually BTRFS'd or raided or something not external drives.

@RamenSub I share your pain, I had to live like 2.5 years with a walk-in room. There was no hallway if you get what I'm saying, you had to pass from room to room. I don't know what the english word is for an apartment like that. My roomate also had a nasty habit of bursting out of his room and would scare the shit out of me regardless if I was doing something sketchy or not.
All that until I told him "Dude, do you like want to see me handling meat?".

ThatClockworkPlanetGuy, I'm not gonna contradict you on your statements because in all honesty I'm not that much of an expert but just keep in mind a few things.
HEVC 'should' be the same or superior in about ~2 times lesser bandwidth. Talking from a technical standpoint.
But there are MANY slices to this pie:
Source: Is it the same source? Many HEVC are CR re-encodes and lossy to lossy encoding is obviously a bad idea. In case they claim it was BD it's usually a re-encode from the groups you mentioned so you end up comparing the original with a re-encode.
Bandwidth: like you said 5-7 times lesser bw for HEVC in many rips. Ofc the quality is gonna suffer.
Bit depth: I've seen 8 vs 10 bit h264  and the difference was substantial in rendering gradients (sky for instance) especially in anime. H265 even has 12 bit depth iirc.
Other settings: There are presets that help with the type of source you're dealing with: animation, live-action, lots of movement etc...
This is where I called it quits. Good settings here can make or break an encode and I honestly couldn't be asked to research more. Many people are probably in the same boat so again quality suffers. Quality freaks like DDY/FFF will probably pour more time here.

Why is HEVC so popular then. Well, IMO it's down to hardware and convenience. A decent HEVC or even h264 will look the same on my shitty 1376x766 15" laptop screen as HQ stuff will. Some people watch stuff on their phone ... STREAMED, with WATERMARKS. I've seen these people myself so don't be surprised if they'll pass a 1GB/ep encode.
HEVC is more than good, it's good enough. Size matters very much: people get caps on their internet in some places, you can watch your show faster if the file is smaller, disk storage not that much of a problem but it is there. Hence why AAC wins over FLAC. Lossy vs Lossless. No brainer right? But 10X the file size and imperceptible difference from the 20$ headeset on an average user will put it to rest.
If you're really hell bent on comparing these 2 encoders get original BD files and fiddle the CRF until the HEVC one is at least half the size of the h264 and compare, other setting being the same. Try different bit depths too, different presets and stuf. I'm actually curious too but don't have the time and motivation to do this on my own.
Nice choice in anime btw, Enju is such a QT. Gotta go now, typed too much and am also hearing police sirens.

I've recently become interested in Doki encodes as they're good in quality (CRF=17/18, 10-bit, BD) and not huge in size. (BTW what's happened to Commie?!)
The question is why, sadly, many of Doki encodes (especially HEVC ones) can't be found here on AT?!

Commie is still mourning over nyaa's death

It's sad to think that their own shitposting den is gone.

Yes, but no sane people would bother himself to visit an IRC these days.
Except for XDCC.

IRC = XDCC

just google IRC.
Well, basically you can use any username, as long as nobody else is using it at the time.

I'm surprised you never had seen Doki's encodes before.

Name a Doki that's not here.

Doki was banned from Nyaa, and any of their torrent/releases you see outside AniDex is posted by a Doki fan

AnimeTosho is named for TokyoTosho which has always been their preferred source and is Doki's standard place to post.

Commie has had several posts to TT and therefore here since the event.  Their website was on the Nyaa server so it was taken down.  I don't know if they've moved it yet.

Have you thought about adding archive.org as a mirror?
It definitely would be interesting.

Maybe useful:

I used to, they banned my account later.
08/05/2017 15:19 — 6WY
Oh...
Maybe if you hit them up and tell them it's an automated process they won't ban you?
09/05/2017 06:19 — admin
You mean torrents?
I'm not sure they'd like that...

https://www.solidfiles.com/bye

Replacement: Cloudyfiles.co, FilesCDN.com, ulozto.net/Uloz.to

Yeah, I meant it as mirror (like Usenet etc.)
But you're probably right...

09/05/2017 01:43 — Anonymous
Someone tell them to post on AniDex and AT will mirror it.
09/05/2017 04:01 — Anonymous
Sadly, they won't use AniDex. They use minglong as their main tracker/torrent.
