I think it should be fixed now. But to try to reduce usage, I've hidden Encrypted Downloads from guests - you'll need an account to see the links now unfortunately. Sorry about that.
When I type in http://23ai I can get into anime tosho but when I type in anime tosho I get that your connection is not secure thing "The owner of animetosho.org has configured their website improperly". The same thing happened when I entered anime tosho in my safari browser on my other device. I guess it doesn't matter entirely since I can still get in by 23ai but this is frustrating.
Also not getting any messages either. Try another device and run a malware and virus scan. Also clean your history and browser cache and try again. I could try with 3 other devices but there's no point 2 devices and 4 browsers is plenty.
I'm not having it happen so again its likely only you since no one else is confirming it. I just tried with three different browsers on my laptop Firefox, Edge, and Google, and even just tried my cellphone to get to the site. So that's 4 browsers total on two different devices.
If you are getting redirects you probably have a virus. Is your Firefox the latest version?
The anime tosho website URL isn't working, every time I click it I get this message "Your connection is not secure
The owner of 23ai.info has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website.
This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) to specify that Firefox may only connect to it securely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate.". Please look into it. Thank you.
Request denied - it seems like our account may be blocked. You can try again later, but otherwise there probably isn't much that can be done unfortunately
Oh no, not again. ;-; Please have a look and see if you can fix it. It would be much appreciated.
Understandable, glad you managed to get in touch and get it resolved. Just a useless bit of info, the irc channel I suggested earlier (#nyaa-help) is designed for exactly what you needed, no one is allowed to idle there, and its a full house of mods - so you're bound to get a reply in a short time frame :).
Ah, thanks for the info. So it turns out it wasn't as much effort as I had thought as they were quite nice and solved it pretty quickly. The issue should hopefully be resolved now. It may take a short while to get back to where it needs to be.
The first line is an email address, you replace at with the symbol, period with the "dot", tld with with comes after the dot in their domain. It was a polite way to mention a contact method without getting them picked up by some spam bots.
I'm not sure what your first line means, but it's not about what's hard or not (though I'll admit to not being a fan of IRC in general), it's that I don't really have time or tenacity to idle around in a chatroom until someone can come around to do anything, assuming of course that person ever does come. (or fight for attention amongst a bunch of other people if there's a lot of activity)
Thanks for the info. All scrapers are throttled and generally quite minimal in the number of requests made (well, as much as you can be considering the way the website is designed). The scrapers generally hit pages slower than typical search engine bots. Perhaps they were generous in the past (have never had any such issues) but clearly this has changed.
Appreciate the suggestion, but I do not want an exemption for the server's IP as it means that it'll constantly need to be updated whenever the IP changes.
This was a theory that floated past when I inquired a little while go : "<@Koala>I just know that there's a (very generous) limit to how many requests you can make to the site in a certain timeframe, and if you go over that your IP gets banned." So I guess at this stage it would easiest to ask for an exemption on your servers IP OR some form of different filtering.
AT has been scraping off them for about a year now, so if it was automatic, it should've happened a long time ago. Either they added/changed policies or it was deliberate. Thanks for the suggestion. Unfortunately I don't hang around IRC channels, so that doesn't really work out. But if someone else is willing to ask on my behalf, I'd be happy to know more. Or if anyone knows of some other form of contact (email, forums etc), I may be able to give it a try.
Any issues with Nyaa lately? It looks like Nyaa-only posts are missing, and the ones that are available from other sources miss informations like Remakes / Trusted source / A+
You may be able to find some here: https://jpddl.com/anime-raws Others may provide you with other suggestions, or you can try searching for specific names.
We used to upload to Mega when they allowed guest uploads, but they stopped allowing that unfortunately. Current accounts are limited to 15GB, which is simply not a feasible choice considering our upload volume (about 120GB/day).
Thanks for the tip. We do do this for some hosts, but I've actually seen very little evidence that this actually works (and doesn't make sense for Mega since it's client-side encrypted anyway).
