I'm not quite sure I know what you mean.
Some quick way to filter by series on the side?
Unfortunately filtering by groups has a number of difficulties, including the fact that the script is very bad at correctly guessing groups a lot of the time...

If you could put a link to the filter series somewhere on the left side that would be nice. Also a function like the filter series but with fansubs group would be useful.
Thanks

Thanks, very nice of you, more than I expected, so I appreciate your time, and I tried to read into the prose, but I think I was having a spazz/fear moment there, I also have speak my mind issues. I was also trying to heavy-hint at some of the other tactics I've seen used elsewhere. And I have read about some extensive and broad threats to other release sites. Been to a lot of DDL sites over the years, and love all your fast mirrors and fast releases, never wanted to go torrent, and this site more than any I can think of didn't plague ads and crap and had extensive selections of new and old.
I'm a collector/hoarder and watcher when the series is done kind of obsessive, so...streaming is not my love, plus I got the whole player thing for the tele. I get what you're trying to do I think, and it makes sense not to blow your life on site management, I just didn't see it initially, I tend towards over involvement and too much detail. Like I said in another post, your philosophy is a clear plus here. Essentially good effort deserves some space in the world and of course my own selfish desires for easy anime.
Other sites maybe, but not as good as this one, and not as straight forward. I don't keep a lot of sites open 24/7, but yours and 2 others, and many other may share that sentiment. Much appreciation, thanks and good will to you.

Thought I did...hmmm. Thanks, it should've occurred to me check Nyaa and then check their IRC, airheaded on that one, dam.
Good on ya for actually bothering to spend the time to write all that (and also find this on a few pages back on this crappy commenting system).
I don't particularly think that we're trying to hide anything - seems like it's clear to most people. Let's just say I'm trying to use language in a more amusing way, if you will.
As a general answer, to your questions though, consider these: I only really run this site as a hobby project. I get absolutely nothing (other than enjoyment) out of it, and I don't have any aspirations that many other site owners have, such as getting a lot of traffic or building a large community.
I also generally don't believe in following what everyone else does, so you'll probably see that this site somewhat works in that way.
As a hobby project, complaints are something that I really don't want to be dealing with. So I've just gone with the easiest solution and implemented a filter for anything that gets reported. There's probably better solutions and other things to do, but I ultimately can't be bothered.
This site wasn't exactly supposed to be a one-stop-shop, just a resource really. There's plenty of other sites out there.
Most of the filtered stuff are older material; I presume the majority of this site's audience is more interested in the newer stuff so it's probably not that big of a compromise.
Your other questions:
I suspect this also has the nice side effect of regulating site traffic so that we don't get too big...
Hope that answers what you wanted answered.

Your other questions:
loopholes to exploit? / Are there work-arounds to be had
I'm not really sure I know what you mean there.Did they threaten you if you said why?
No, it's nothing more than a simple complaint.Have you been getting any feedback or threats or words from your mirroring sites and affiliates (like TT or Nyaa)?
Nope.I'm not sure but does this site have an Announcements and News page?
It's at the very top of the home page.because I haven't really seen anyone be coy or short or remotely brief about it, its usually nicely the opposite
Well, I did explain that we're trying to be a bit different here, but another point is that many sites have the goal of trying to increase their user base / traffic, hence they'll attempt a lot of PR talk when they have to remove anything. I don't quite have the same aim here, so I'm not going to bother with all that flamboyancy.I suspect this also has the nice side effect of regulating site traffic so that we don't get too big...
can you just be like a 'release' page for those titles and let people post their own mirrors or links?
The links are still actually being hosted so it's not like this makes a difference. Otherwise the gazillion file sharing forums out there could claim ignorance on their users...has this sort of thing been tried and died already for anime?
There are a number of official streaming sites like Crunchyroll out there.Hope that answers what you wanted answered.
Should of posted this in one of their releases.
Answer: Their host server has been DDoS.

On a different note, does anyone know if DeadFish encodes site is in their sometimes total 'down-time' or 're-vamp time' or in light of recent events 'round here got caught up in the fiascoes ro something else?
Also being slightly forced on some shows into torrents I really appreciate NOW, the TT and Nyaa link choices. Besides the fact that I'm buggin' over change, its just the fact the this site, traffic or not is SO DAM USEFUL and EASY and straight forward and upbeat and free of BS, any kink just sucks, because so many people made this site what it is, and whatever the admin philosophy is is clearly working in many ways....and their efforts should remain.

Thanks for the offer.
The solution is currently just to post the links in the comments section for the file. You may have noticed a number of people already doing this. :)

Thanks for pointing that out.
I fixed the Chihayafuru issue. I presume Commie is of similar nature.
The new system is indexed off words, so if you search "Horrible" it will only match entries where "Horrible" is the complete word. However if you search "Horriblesubs", this will probably pick up what you're looking for.
I'm probably going to implement a partial matching system, so you could search for "Horrible*" and it'd pick up the stuff you want.

This site is fairly low traffic. From the Piwik analytics, around 30,000 page views a day. I suspect the actual number to be a bit higher because Piwik doesn't count users with DNT enabled, Javascript disabled etc, and whilst this may be a minority of cases, I suspect that this site has more such users.
Searches giving strange older results, however some of the tags that are produced there and in the main feed came up with some interesting shows that weren't there say after June 18th, now leading to pages to quickly were one could pick up some missed shows and final few episodes of others that weren't there as early as last Friday/Saturday. Like things suddenly reappeared, which I thought had gone out of use...
Fine by me, just have to stay on top of releases, and use the main feed, since searching for specific titles or fansubbers or encoders doesn't seem to work. Also since some titles have a plethora of names variations, some surprises have cropped up in the strange searches were I grabbed a couple releases totally missed months back.
So some good, some bad...but right now I'll take it either way. Much appreciation AT!

First of all, thanks AT-admin, its been a great run, and great practically one-stop shopping for anime, and great for those like myself that have issues with ISP's and torrents to use DDL, thanks also to mirror's like Tibb, fansubbers of all shapes and sizes (commie, thora, utw, horrible, evetaku, to name few...), encoders (deadfish, nemdiggers, laxus, youshikibi etc...), and the BD releasers, and reissues of older series, plus the minutia of other releases of shows packed with games or manga or whatever, the little webisodes and such, its really so appreciated, almost desperately so.
So why can't you just come right out and say why the filter? It sure seems like DCMA-thing, but are there limits and loopholes to exploit? Did they threaten you if you said why? Are there work-arounds to be had (as I've seen in other places)? Can anyone help with those or other avenues? Did they say why you or why now? Was it a C & D? Why beat around the bush? Did AT suddenly get too big on the radar? Have they been lurking around before now? Sending you letters/emails for other things? Have you been getting any feedback or threats or words from your mirroring sites and affiliates (like TT or Nyaa)? I'm not sure but does this site have an Announcements and News page? I mean I don't it see up front....
I've been fluttering around scene, p2p, and anime sites for years, and as they have either met their end or been threatened into serious amounts of sharing or posting castration, most have just straight up said why or how? I'm just wondering the reasons, because I haven't really seen anyone be coy or short or remotely brief about it, its usually nicely the opposite. There is a lot of work here, and there is already bots, emails etc. taking down links all the time, so what gives now? As much as I doubt anyone here is a big buyer of Funimation stuff, can it be just them pressuring you or your ISP or your server host or your home? Did they already move against you on another or the same front? Also then there's the whole freedom of speech thing?
To certain extent I get it because you host and mirror links on your own accord (which is awesome upon awesome), but with lovely people like Tibb on the scene, can you just be like a 'release' page for those titles and let people post their own mirrors or links? I mean you already have headings for titles? I've seen on other sites links go up and down, is it a lack of user support unlike what you see with TV and movie releases? I mean you got some major titles on there (Unicorn, GITS-Arise, One Piece, Dragon Ball, and some odd small ones), that maybe if there was a spot here, you might get some link or mirror sharing from wherever people find them or make them?
I'm sorry and thankful, but also OCD-type curious. Not having mirror links and being a spot for users to post their's is one thing, but putting in scripts, bots or site changes or whatever to actively get rid of whole titles and their variations and all their various sub groups, encoders, old episodes and everything is a pretty big whack to this site and to yourself :(
I just wish 'they' would realize that if all fansub avenues are closed (if that was even possible) #1 there would still probably be DVDrips and BDrips, because a lot of us will wait or drop it. #2 their sales would not likely increase that much because its all so price prohibitive in the first place. #3 We are not really their market, and many will go Chinese bootleg if needed. #4 Realize the trure supply and demand values or access (like TV channels) as having a better chance of earning them some money, rather than none. #5 Stop letting idiotocracies like Funimation license shit, and have stations like TokyoTV, TBS etc just go straight to market (via local cable, or their own sites [like VOD]), I mean hasn't Japan realized yet that their shows have an international audience, and that they should keep the money/control themselves. (I counted today in my area 91 Spanish channels, would 3 Japanese channels kill them? My wife is not from the US originally and she pays $6 a month to access via the web her 4 major networks of her country, and their VOD goes back 3+ years, has this sort of thing been tried and died already for anime?)
Ugg, novel is over...

Is there any way to help upload to mirrors or things? Contribute without money? ;)
thats not the appropriate way to search just search 'fairy tail' or 'saki Achiga hen'/'saki' everything related to the series will be listed
hey by the way are there more episodes of achiga i had only 16 and that was the last i think....i wander what will be their next season name 'biyori' maybe read over a manga title.....

why dont you try older entries button once you find link of any episode related to desied series just get to the series page insted of an episode just one extra page to open and everything is fine
Yep, I'm getting the same problem. :( It's a challenge finding the good links searching manually, especially with lots of new titles to download :(
Search result just give blank pages, I guess something went wrong with the modification.
same here when i search in the search bar i get a blank page
Yeah something is definitely wrong with the search, I just searched Chihayafuru and get no results after episode 12 on 30/03/2013, yet if i go to the Chihayafuru series page it has results from to episode 25 on 30/06/2013 :/
Hey, I try searching by fansub name (e.g. "C*mmie or Horr*ble) but that just takes me to the old one (e.g. Saka*ichi Apollon or old episodes of Fair* Tail)... :(
Content licensed by FUNiMATION.They actively DCMA sites that host content they have licensed .Since they license a lot of new content yearly ,i would expect more to be added in future.
Sorry about that. Fixed now.
Server seems to be getting a bit slow, or there's too many visitors... :/

Hmm, that could be a difficult one as I'm not sure how those would be displayed...
I have a feeling that it may not be a good idea either. Reporting agencies don't actually check the links they submit, which means even a reference can be problematic.

Probably less hassle to deal with DCMA and other groups alike.
Probably by a DCMA request/takedown notice that was sent directly to admin's ISP.
Admin has to comply with it - I imagine it's enforced by his ISP (even though his ISP is in Germany and I don't know why they care about DCMA).
usually the shows that are filtered are ones that got picked-up by funym@tion or like groups that bought the rights for the show/movie outside of Japan.

Is there some sort of criteria for a series to end up on here: https://animetosho.org/about/filtseries
Just wondering since there wasn't a real explanation on the page in reguards to what will and won't be filtered.

Admin, just want to inform you that myanimelist link of the anime series Free! ( https://animetosho.org/series/free.9858 ) is pointing to the wrong link. It should goes to http://myanimelist.net/anime/18507 .
Thanks.
Thanks.
The scripts/attachments for those are already uploaded.
Not the greyed out ones. I meant the shows on the filter list.
