Noticed alot of 3+gb batches getting fetched even without request comments. Is there a new limit now? If so, tnx alot for increasing it. 3gb was a little too small for 12-13eps series these days.

The screenshot links to imgur should be changed to use the // scheme so that when viewed from an HTTPS page they will use the same avoiding partially encrypted warnings.

Instead of img src="http://i.imgur.com/iCrIziB.jpg" it should be img src="//i.imgur.com/iCrIziB.jpg"

So it seems that Imgur and ImageShack now support HTTPS. Thanks for the tip.

Do many browsers complain about mixed content though? Most I've tried don't seem to emit any warnings.
I could change those, but I can't completely eliminate referencing HTTP images.

They don't complain (at least not currently), but you either lose the lock icon indicating an HTTPS session (Safari, IE) or it gets replaced with a warning icon (Chrome, FF, Opera) which is how I even noticed the problem.

So far the screenshots are all I've seen that are like that, but I haven't checked everywhere.

Since its such an easy fix I didn't see the harm in asking.

Indeed, and thanks for the suggestion - it's just useful to know how to prioritize things...
I don't see browsers complaining in the near future as it could be problematic to a number of sites out there (eg sites running on HTTPS which allow user submitted content such as linked images).

I'll probably eventually write a parser to change all the values in the database though, as it's not particularly difficult.

Images on the episodes/series pages are pulled from AniDB, which doesn't seem to have CA signed cert for SSL, so there will still be places that have mixed content.

Hmm, it seems that ImageShack doesn't work if the URL is changed to HTTPS... Don't know why it did before.
Imgur still works, but I don't think I'll bother with it for that case.
I potentially have a better fix to the problem anyway.

Thanks for the tip nonetheless.

Thanks for increasing the batch size from 3GB to 8GB. Perhaps when time is not an issue, please edit the FAQs so people wouldn't ask about it.

finally, my favourite filehoster "file1" got some much deserved love. Thanx a bunch for adding it to the 'list' of allowed file hosts! I know it's being used by the Surrealmoviez community for film uploads (their favorite is the Czech Ulož.to [ulozto.net in english] btw), but aside from that there's almost no one that uses it (their loss...).

Ah Mendokusai....
Looks like you gotta sign up to use their services (to upload wise)....am not sure if the admin makes any accounts for some of the file hosting sites.

Does anyone get File1 to work on their IDM?
06/03/2014 09:43 *aniluv
File1 allows only downloading with 1 connection only. (IDM works for me)
06/03/2014 14:57 *Envy
Ah Mendokusai....
My IDM works fine with File1 if you have Ghostery on then you need to disable it when trying to download from that site.

Also is you IDM up to date?!
06/03/2014 15:39 *masami
Well, I don't have Ghostery.

My IDM has up to date.

How do i get it to work?
06/03/2014 21:27 — Envy
Ah Mendokusai....
Hm that's weird your just clicking on the mirror link right and not right clicking on it.

Actually I take that back I don't have to disable my Ghostery.

What web browser are you using?!
07/03/2014 00:39 — masami
I click the mirror link but my IDM doesn't fetch it.

I use Chrome.
07/03/2014 01:00 — Envy
Ah Mendokusai....
Ah okay same here I use Chrome too most of the time um am guessing your web browser is up to date has well.

And do you have any other extension's on besides the IDM one.
07/03/2014 01:47 — masami
umm, adblock and some anti-virus stuff only.
07/03/2014 04:37 — Envy
Ah Mendokusai....
Okay it still should pick it up cause I have ad-block on and it works fine and of course an anti-virus but my anti-virus is a bit picky.

But it still downloads also try Tibb method maybe that'll work for you.
07/03/2014 01:49 *Tibb
Here is the fool-proof way of doing it. I can't say why IDM doesn't detects it for you and auto grabs it, but this way will ensure IDM picks it up for you (if the file exists).

1.Foremost click on the mirror link on the File1 page, this should initiate a download with the built-in downloader on Chrome.
2. Next go to your downloads page (Ctrl+J or drop-down-menu and select Downloads)
3. On the download page cancel the download.
4. Right-click on the download (the one you just cancelled) and select "Copy Link Address"
5. Now open up IDM and select "Add URL"
6. Now paste in the text-box what you copied.
7. IDM should auto-detect the file and dispaly the name/filesize/file type
8. All that's left to do is select the Start Download button!

P.S. This should work with all hosters (unless it downloads via a PHP function and there isn't an concrete HTML link for the file)
P.P.S. You may run into trouble such as link expiration, so try to download the file as soon as possible!
P.P.P.S. You can do this with the batch download (paste in a text-editor for all links then copy all the links)
P.P.P.P.S. P-P hehehehehehuhuhuhehehehehhuheuhe
