oh and btw otakucop seems to be fixed now =)
maybe if you send admin-sama a picture of you in a maid outfit wearing nekomimi bend over a chair, he will consider fetching it for you =)
Video is out-of-sync with the audio and sub
I just want the English Audio. I already have these subbed, but I wanna watch 'em in English. Dunno about anyone else (Don't care, actually), but I personally Funimation's got an excellent talent pool of voice actors.
does anyone know any ddl for these episodes? i would use OtakuCop but its currently broken!

A few of the new season releases are not getting updated to the Episode Update page, but some are.

Kerneval, Photo Kano, Aku no Hana == not updated

Yahari Ore no Seishun from today and all new releases == updated

Haruhichan has shown that they don't know what they are talking about several times before and tripped themselves up.Read the comments here http://afternoonnapsempire.org/subtitl...r-matters/ .It shows one of there admins (and writer of there guide) showing he doesn't know very much  about subtitle rendering when his guide has been shown to be wrong .Haruhichan is not a very good source for information or help .

Admin has deleted this fake of Naruto Movie #6 that had an exe in the filename.  What is extra disturbing is the specific targeting of an anime audience with an anticipated movie title that was due out soon.  It was set up by someone who somehow knew what would make for good bait here.

Another possible problem is a couple of random sounding messages in the comments section for a release.  Each tried to entice the user to click on a link.  For example:

1. In Ixion Saga DT vol.3 480p:

"I would prefer to uslysht just a little far more on this topic strona internetowa http://www.webhunter.pl/?p=4"

2. Comment in [DeadFish] Ixion Saga: Dimension Transfer - 20 [720p][AAC].mp4:

--Admin already removed this one and the link it had.

--Hmm.  Both were Ixion Saga. Perhaps we've just stumbled on a cult of ball-kickers.  The links are a bit troubling, though.

Your advice is definitely very good and appreciated every time :)
However, I think a Sandy Bridge CPU is a very misleading baseline to put in. *

Realistically, I think a desktop dual core Intel Core 2 or AMD Phenom (or laptop equivalents) are realistic minimums for the majority of setups to play 1080p Hi10 fine without tweaking. Assuming of course that the computer isn't bloated, malware infested or touched by one of the weird virii that float around here at times.
If you don't have that, well, you better start looking for a bunch of old Nokia phones...

* I assume the recommendation stems from the hardware decoder included on Sandy Bridge CPUs and later, not what the CPU is capable of doing via normal execution; note that the hardware decoder requires the iGPU on the CPU to be active, which I presume quite a number of people have disabled due to having a discrete GPU installed

The report I'm referring to predates the use of hi10p in anime or practically anywhere.  It was a guideline for general hardware requirements to use the spectrum of 21 h264 encode procedures.  At that time, they also specifically commented that hi10p was unlikely to ever be used for mainstream consumer products given its relatively large costs and small benefits.

That being said, I congratulate all success stories.  I have no dog in any fight, except like admin and KazolOrajia, I prefer low cost solutions so more people can enjoy anime.

--------------
The purpose of my hardware comment was to give people some practical ideas about minimum hardware, meaning what average people might need.  If someone came to me with a single-core Pentium and wanted to run 1080p-Hi10P anime, I would despair of getting them up and running, even if KazolOrajia is doing it.  Admin could probably do it chaining together some Nokia dumb phones.  Actually, I think he was using an Atom processor and a netbook last I heard.  But I don't want to try and get someone else up and running with an Atom netbook.
The subtitles are 6.1MB. tny.cz restricts postings to around 1000KB max.

Here's a copy: http://www.sendspace.com/file/7zxwet
I've probably said it before, but I strongly recommend not listening to any marketing bullcrap that Intel/MPEG may have put out about requiring a Sandy Bridge CPU for playback of 10-bit video.

I can play 10-bit fine with a Pentium 2009 laptop. I'm using MPC-HC with LAV filters and EVR-CP as my renderer (I tried MadVR - my laptop couldn't handle it at all). I get smooth playback at great quality.

Maximum Hi10P Performance:
Farfie, a source of several recent BD encodes, recommends the new "Kawaii Codec Pack" from haruhichan forums at his website.  Haruhichan was known for some helpful articles on early hi10p adoption. Their "Kawaii-Codec-Pack" is an optimized combo of madVR, LAVFilters, Haali splitter, xy-VSFilters, and MPC.  They claim:

"This codec pack will result in higher image quality and performance than using CCCP, so if you’re struggling to play back Hi10P anime, or even regular 1080p, consider trying this. This codec pack will be updated regularly and uses very new versions of libav for decoding as well as custom edits to make 10-bit decoding even faster, giving it much more speed than the ridiculously outdated ffdshow-tryouts project."

Here's the link:

http://haruhichan.com/forum/showthread...Codec-Pack

The downside: Norton Internet Security wouldn't let me keep it last time I tried to get it.  I would download it, Norton would deleted it without even asking.  Norton's reasons for deletion were vague, and said the status of Kawaii might change as more people use it.

-------------------------------
Regardless of codec, the minimum requirement for all flavors of h264 including hi10p is SandyBridge, according to the h264 engineering group: So at minimum an i3-2100 processor.  If your laptop doesn't have at least that, you may be stuck in 8-bit land.
try this

i tried & i can play 10-bit with almost no problem :)
Try VLC, it's free and no codecs required.

Share the love and keep watching.
What? Really? CCCP, the older version still works wonders for me on my laptop.

Never had a problem with KMplayer (as long you make sure video renderer - VMR9), i did some custom settings as well; i dont use MPC anymore, the KLite codec packs gives me a lot of problems, and use up too much resource on a computer; trying playing a 10GB anime movie with 10 bit = lagging, while i can even drag the seek bar freely on KMP with the same video.

The only thing that bugs me about 10bit videos, is watching them on a laptop. Even with updated codec packs.
