Think of it this way; smaller size if you want the same quality of 8bit, larger size for better quallity.
is there something wrong w/ peejeshare?
you have to consider first size too !
for example some release of Funi has some shitty encode and they are big !
something like 700 MB and when they re-encode it might be the best result they could achieve !
I am not sure what the problem is with many sub groups. It seems that even though 10bit is a more compressed foremat than 8bit very few of them no how to utilize the proper setting and the 10bit files end up larger like this one.. I have noticed that some groups know the secret while others have no clue.
I believe this was somehow accidentally set to expect the upload of that file instead of a download.  I've encountered similar things on other services. Nothing we morals can do except use a different service.
What I'm getting is a 5 sec countdown until I can press a "Skip Ad" button and go to the normal download screen.  If that's all there is, it's not much.  But my browser extensions might be making it easier for me than some?  (I don't actually see any ads, I just have to wait those 5 seconds.)

The business models behind these services have always seemed weak.  If this keeps Peeje going, that's good.

Note the file size.  The 720p and 480p do better for length, but are hardsubbed.

Hardsub in 720p as well.

A "Horrible" mistake...

--I tried to get info about this at the blog, but it's page after page of two guys arguing whose country sucks worse.  Again, Horrible.
"To replace KonoImo" it says above.  That seems a bit cryptic, so here's the full note:

"OK, new project to replace KonoImo*. Enjoy. And yes, it's almost 1GB because it has film grain, dynamic motions and special effect attacks in the same scenes. That's an unholy triad of bitrate needs.

*Kono Naka Ni Hitori Imouto Ga Iru 02/13 (DROPPED)

Well, FFF is doing the exact same show, with the exact same subs, so I'm dropping this, and picking something else. “

Note that FileFactory seem to require an account to upload, so actually, I probably won't ever upload to it directly unfortunately.

This show from HorribleSubs is actually hardsub, so the subtitle looks blurry when you watch in Fullscreen.

it can be a good way to Seed old torrents (prevent torrents from becoming 0 Seeded)
https://sites.google.com/site/torrentt...r-torrents
files will be seeded as long as dropbox is up & running

Alternate title: "Say 'I love you'"

That makes 5 different groups doing this one with a possibility of as many as 3 original translations (haven't checked), plus Horrible, and not including re-encoded versions.

There are two reasons for this concentration of effort:
1. Fansubs are starved for love;
2. They are often accused of killing rabbits

It seems that the external uploader is failing to send to Crocko these days...
Sendspace should still work, just note that it can sometimes take time for stuff to appear.

As said above, chapters are already displayed, but won't be in a format that you could directly import into mkvmerge.
I've thought about fonts, but they are a little bit difficult to do, and I just thought that they won't be that useful for the effort required. May be considered in the future.

I can see the purpose of fonts, but I'm somewhat unsure about why you'd need chapters. Just for interest's sake, would you be able to enlighten me?

Seems the external uploader isn't properly sending to FileFactory any more unfortunately :(
Maybe I'll look into doing some direct submissions to it instead, rather than relying on third parties...

I somewhat want to try to be as objective as I can so I don't really plan to block files based on popularity / whether I like it etc...
But thanks for pointing it out anyway :P

The link checker doesn't support all hosts at the moment. I'm not sure if it ever will either.
The link checker is somewhat more for convenience purposes and is somewhat inaccurate in a number of cases anyway, so I'm not too fussed about making it "good".

Whilst people may not have a DDL, screenshots, hashes, subtitles and mediainfo may have some use to someone...

I haven't seen any notes about any pending changes to Sendspace.  And it has become one of the fastest dl sites where I am also.

As to why a certain file does or does not get links at any specific host (like Sendspace here), I'm not sure these days if uploads are attempted at all current sites and we see what comes back, or if there are assignment rules as to file size or the number of files per day to any specific site.  Often you win, occasionally you lose in terms of getting your favorite links.

Fun show,  isn't it?  A good entertainment successor to Binbougami ga! of last season.

1. But knowing what VHS is answers your question, doesn't it?  This is a conversion of her fan-sub video tape collection.  The subs you see were burned into the video image when the tape was recorded.  She's not doing any new subs, just converting videotapes to computer files.   She couldn't removed the old subs from the video image and start over even if she wanted to.  As to why avi instead of mkv, for one thing people will know they are hardsubs if they are avi.  And there were some good tools for converting videotapes to avi some years ago.  Even some hardware cards for that purpose.  Not much call for new conversion hardware/software of that type these days.

2. btw, mp4 is also a hard-sub format, and there's more of that now than ever before, for the reasons you state (alternate playback devices) and thanks to the tyranny of Hi10P which exceeds the hardware capability of many Windows notebooks still in use.

3. Betamax: 20% better than VHS and dead long before VHS --the Hi10P of it's day.

4. Doremi Fansubs still does avi-only for it's new releases of the ongoing Ojamajo Doremi (little witch girls) series.  Possibly to retain continuity with the series since way back when?  Don't know.

I know what VHS is. I also grew up in the era when betamax tapes were still available. I meant that with today's knowhow, that hardly anyone encodes in hardsubs anyomre (except for watching on PS3 or xbox360).

"Senshi Fansubs offers encodes from the old school VHS fansubs that were up for distribution in the late 90′s and early 2000′s."

"VHS" as in videotape source.  They used to mail fansubbed tapes back and forth.  The video/audio quality is poor, the nostalgia is high.

Unknown group to me, so I looked up their website.  The subs are in Japanese and English, which is pretty unusual.

"Lately, I haven’t really been in the mood to do any manga, so I’ve decided to take up light fansubbing.
Just a solo project. I’m doing this entirely for fun and to further improve my Japanese beyond just reading comprehension,
so I’m not exactly looking to compete with any other fansubber groups or anything of the sort.

.I hope you enjoy watching the anime as much as I enjoyed working on it.
I am not native Japanese, and I certainly can’t consider myself as being the absolute best at it either.
Also,  I’ve decided to transcribe the original Japanese vocals to actual text on the top.

.For the most part, I tried to use written lines directly from the manga in the anime whenever I could find them,
since speakers sometimes opt to just use kana instead of kanji for various words. It’s just to keep it consistent with the manga.
For the lines that aren’t in the manga, I explicitly used kanji instead. However, since I don’t keep speaker styles consistent,
you may find that some lines used by the same person may or may not have explicit kanji at certain times.

.I plan on skipping any and all OP’s and ED’s because you can probably find them all over YouTube or something.
Half the people don’t watch them anyway (like me), unless it’s part of the story. So look elsewhere if you want the songs.

And finally, if there’s some line you think is done wrong, feel free to comment and let me know. I’ll fix it."

Note: Please don't leave your kana/kanji comments here.  Go to his website.

How about adding fonts/chapters attachments feature? Only one or 2 hosts should be enough as i don't think they will be reported or i think dropbox can do the job because file won't be deleted because of inactivity.
thanks a lot :)
Each ep has a subtitle section listed in the header, but the only text it contains is "Re-encoded by ____" to be blasted across the screen at several intervals.  (Annoying idiot).  However, the last file in this list appears to be a zip containing subtitle tracks for all of the episodes.  If the subtitle track file is unzipped into the same folder as the video mkv file, they should play together either with or without some adjustments in your video player.  That is, assuming this zip isn't also just full of "Re-encoded by _____" subtitle files.

my Symantec detects something as soon as I open uptobox links .. not good site for me
Is it just the first epp whithout subs
1. According to a table I saw at Commie's, 18 of the 19 shows they've done recently were modified scripts, not original translations.  So Horrible's version may not be all that different, and Horrible's  are all 8-bit.  (The one thing about Horrible is he won't include subs for the OP and EN, even if it takes extra effort to exclude them.  A personal thing.)

2. All of the players I know of now support the playback of Hi10P in their latest releases, except perhaps the player that comes with Windows (and I don't know about GOM either, come to think of it).  Whether your hardware can render Hi10P quick enough to avoid subs/audio/video breakup is a different question.

I play 10 bit encodes using VLC. Just update everything and get the latest build ~_~
My only itch is the 10bit format. But I encode this to 8bit to watch on my laptop.

Also, MPC is the only media player that plays 10bit. VLC does not.
this is not episode 4..this is episode 1....
