Please can you add this torrent http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=293464 , i tried submitting it to TT but it said it was already submitted .I searched for it and couldn't find it on there ,and the nyaa one is running as slow as a snail because the encoder doesn't seed his torrents.

Forget about the request,i have got it now and don't need the links.Thanks.

I just notice that all download links will be opened in current window|tab when I click it (I always middle click). I think opening download links in new tabs|windows is more convinient.
Would you mind consider it?

what's wrong with the Ctrl button and the right click?
07/03/2012 15:25 — dreamer2908
It's the same as my "middle click" :-?
08/03/2012 09:22 *admin
Main reason for avoiding that is that it usually requires a target="_blank" attribute in the HTML link code.
This actually goes against W3C specifications and isn't valid XHTML 1.0 Strict compliant.

Then again, I've had to resort to some hacks which break compliance anyway, so I guess it's not a big deal.

Otherwise, I'm not too sure. I personally get a bit annoyed at some websites which force links to be opened in new tabs/windows when I want them to open in the current one. Most of the time it's just a middle-click or right-click -> open in new tab if you want that.
Any votes for forcing new window/tab opening?

Like you said ,all you have to do if rick click then open a new tab.Its easy enough and not really a bother ,but i would say that opening the links in a new tab is fine and would save having to do that.A feature i would like to see is a link on the posts leading to anidb or anime news network[ANN] with a synopsis on the shows, movies ,ovas if it can be implemented .

If you can't torrent it, I wouldn't think the server has some magical ability to download it either unfortunately...

I'm uploading the 720p version to MF, the links will appear here:
https://animetosho.org/view/hatsuyuki-...mkv.457670

The files has been available via XDCC.

From the About page:

"I find most of these other sites tend to only upload files from a small number of groups (possibly to get their posting up as fast as possible) and almost never upload releases such as those sourced from a BD, which was why I decided to start up AnimeTosho."

However, there's one issue:

"AnimeTosho does not upload all files posted - it skips the following:
...
    * Whatever the script considers to be a 'batch', over 1.5GB in size"

This causes a problem, particularly with Coalgirls, where a single volume with three episodes even at 720p can easily exceed that.  Yes, I realize they're notorious for bloated encodes.  However, they're also prolific, and release BD encodes for many series that nobody else bothers with.  Couldn't there be more intelligent batch detection?  I don't use torrents very often, but it seems like many batches are marked as such, and the only things I could see having a batch of two or three files would be OVAs of that length.  Other than that, I love this site!

What difference does that make?  Nearly everything here either already has or eventually will get DDL links in other places, but not always as quickly, and usually only on one or two of the newest and least stable filehosts.

You're just trying to be an arrogant little snot instead of paying attention to what I'm saying here.  First, I already know there are other means and places to get these things, so that has nothing to do with anything.  It was a suggestion about how to improve this particular site, if the goal is indeed to give more convenient access to BD encodes through filehosts.

Second, it's not about a lot of files, as I explained in my original post.  For instance, their latest release of Hanasaku Iroha only has three files in it, a single volume at 720p, but still gets seen as a batch.  Three files is not what I'd call a lot; it's only the episodes from one disc.  I can certainly live with that, and get it through links elsewhere or not from a filehost at all, but again that has nothing to do with what I'm trying to say.  It would be easier to just get them here, which might make this site a better, more convenient place, which is what I thought this page was for.

Instead, you just want to say, basically, "hey look at me, I'm not a dumbass and a crybaby like you who thinks this is the only place on the whole web to download anime LOL XD!!!1"  Get it through your head already, I'm only talking about what would make this site a better place to get BD encodes, and only because that was stated as the primary goal of this site.

Yeah, to be quite honest, I don't like the skipping either. Ideally, everything would be mirrored over, and it's something I'm working on.
There's just currently bandwidth constraints that I have to work within at the moment (not to mention unstable hosts making things more difficult).

If you have an idea for a better detection algorithm, I'm all ears.
Thanks for your suggestion otherwise.

@Admin: I just thought you should know, but HorribleSubs moved from their .org site to .info, so you should probably edit that in the Groups info...

New Site: http://www.horriblesubs.info/

(I'm talking about the link next to Groups, NOT the Website link)
