#Even a Pawn can take down a King#
Subtitles download currently not working for me. Checked several sub-archives with same result.
Fails with Query failure and HTTP 500.

Taking the following as an example:
https://animetosho.org/view/chihiro-_s...kv.1097385

All Attachments fails as per above, but Subs only works.
21/05/2017 08:19 — admin
Issue resolved, should be working now.

#Even a Pawn can take down a King#
Yeah, alright now.
23 minutes after noting the issue - that's true enterprise 3rd level support :)

admin, could you allow us use more powerful operator in searching? Something like this does not work:
"[HorribleSubs] Tsugumomo" | "[HorribleSubs] Alice to Zouroku" | "[HorribleSubs] Shingeki no Kyojin S2"
21/05/2017 17:55 — Anonymous
works fine.
22/05/2017 02:25 *shinchiro
Really? I get not items found searching with this keyword --> "[HorribleSubs] Tsugumomo" | "[HorribleSubs] Alice to Zouroku" | "[HorribleSubs] Shingeki no Kyojin S2"

I think shinchiro is asking for an OR operator in search, which is currently not supported.
22/05/2017 10:11 — shinchiro
yeah, is there a plan to implement that? Also, wrapping keyword with quotes or apostrophes also return nothing.
Since the search result can generate rss now, I want to hack it to get my desired feed :)
22/05/2017 12:44 — admin
Fixed issue with quotes, thanks for pointing that out.

There's a hidden flag which allows you to specify a list of anime IDs, which can probably do your example query above.

Otherwise, I'll think about exposing Sphinx's query syntax, which'll support the | operator.

https://animetosho.org/search?q=urusei bd
^above Query could also show items from https://animetosho.org/search?q=urusei bdrip
but currently it doesn't (unlike nyaa, RIP).

I've reduced the min infix length from 4 to 2, so the above should now work.
RAM usage is 3x higher (T_T) so will need to see whether it gets kept though...
23/05/2017 03:06 — Anonymous
thank you :)
22/05/2017 14:23 — shinchiro
Much appreciate and +1 for Sphinx's query syntax :)

23/05/2017 01:05 — admin
I've added a hidden parameter (I'll come up with a UI for it later) to enable it.
After doing a search, add "&qx=1" to the URL to switch to Sphinx matching mode.
23/05/2017 01:20 — Anonymous
Can't you switch to Elasticsearch or Solr?
23/05/2017 02:51 — admin
What for?
23/05/2017 01:33 — shinchiro
Looks good. It can handle this query:

(damedesuyo shingeki) | (horriblesubs  (eromanga | hinako)) | (gjm sagrada) -480p -1080p

@ shinchiro
Good to have MiniEncodes. Your selecting of codecs (HEVC and OPUS) is good and future-proof, but don't you think CRF=23, 24 is too high even for HEVC encoding. I hope it's lowered to at most 20 and see more BDRip and Web-dl than DVDrip and TVrip.
Good luck ;)

Is the search broken for anyone else or is it on my end only?
21/05/2017 17:47 — RamenSub
broken how?
Just you maybe.
21/05/2017 18:04 — bomaye6
Just to back my claim up, this is what I get when I search for something: https://p.fuwafuwa.moe/ispflv.png
21/05/2017 18:45 — Anonymous
what are you searching, exactly?
21/05/2017 18:57 *bomaye6
It doesn't matter, that's the result for anything I put in the search bar.
21/05/2017 19:06 — Anonymous
Just you then. Search is working for me.
21/05/2017 19:08 — Anonymous
Looking for answers, I'm wondering if you're putting some extended ascii characters in somehow, like with a cellphone?  Or are you using a computer?
21/05/2017 21:55 — Anonymous
I had the same errors, even after cleaning cache and cookies.
It does work when I log out of my account though.
22/05/2017 01:17 — admin
Could you please try again?
I think search broke if you had blocked keywords specified in your account; I've currently just disabled the blacklist function for search (will look at enabling it later).

Thanks.
22/05/2017 16:11 — bomaye6
It works again now. And yes, with Nyaa's demise I decided to add some groups to my blacklist, didn't know that was the problem.

Anyway, thank you!

We are ONE, we sail under the one banner, WE ARE THE MEDIUM PIRATES!
I think it's time to fetch from Nyaa.si, since more and more legitimate uploaders are using it.

"Yesterday 02:20 * — admin
I'm considering adding nyaa.si as a source.
It's just that, at the moment, there isn't that many entries it has that our current sources don't..., and there's a lot of reposts (with different info hashes, which doesn't get picked up by de-dupe).
But thanks for bringing it up nonetheless."
22/05/2017 21:47 — Anonymous
It would probably be necessary to de-list Anidex to solve the duplication problems with nyaa.si

Or the re-posts issue might settle out in a couple of months, so wait until then I guess.
23/05/2017 12:19 — admin
Duplication between Anidex and Nyaa.si isn't really a problem, unless the poster actually generated two completely different torrents and posted it to both sites.

It's more re-posts where the submitter has created an entirely new torrent to the original (presumably because the original torrent has been lost), and due to the way torrents work, causes a completely different hash to be generated and can't be matched (de-duplicated) with the original.
AniDex doesn't seem to have many of these, but there's a lot more on Nyaa.si.

What I can consider doing, is just fetch from a whitelist of users for now. Would anyone be able to list some posters I should fetch from Nyaa.si?

Is anything missing from AT?
22/05/2017 21:42 — Anonymous
I don't see any complaints.

Could you please add Seeders/Leechers information to the rss feed?
23/05/2017 00:12 — admin
Whereabouts?
Have avoided it so far as I didn't really want the feed's contents to be changing that frequently (though maybe most readers are fine with that).
23/05/2017 00:25 — Anonymous: "Plz no scraperino"
Hmm I get your point but I don't know, its such a crucial piece of information if you are trying to download something via torrent. Thanks for such a quick reply anyway. kudos for the site.
23/05/2017 01:16 — admin
May I ask how you're using the feed?
If it's a torrent client, one would think that it'd be appropriate for the torrent client to scrape the trackers for the seed/leech count.
If you're using some typical RSS reader, I presume you want those stats in the 'description' field (where DDL links are listed), I can understand (there's is a slight issue with it potentially being out of date, depending on how frequently the reader scrapes the feed, but I suppose it's probably not a big deal).
23/05/2017 01:22 — Anonymous
why not just use new Nyaa sites for your torrent needs? It has your seed/peer count.
23/05/2017 04:15 — Anonymous
Good news for AT Feedback -- people can now write comments at Nyaa.si as of today!
23/05/2017 04:42 — Anonymous: "ANononMouse"
I want to thank AnimeTosho for simply existing. In an uncertain time for anime fansubs you're an important repository of information, not to mention a place that always seems to have DDL or links to series whose torrents have been abandoned. You're a great asset to every anime fan and I'll continue supporting you in any way I can.
23/05/2017 10:49 — Anonymous: "MeH"
Agreed ^_^
23/05/2017 17:53 — shinchiro
When new entries are created on AT, the rss seem late to update with the new entries. Is this works intentionally or a bug?
24/05/2017 01:09 — admin
Currently, entries that haven't been fully downloaded aren't shown in the feed.
24/05/2017 11:06 — shinchiro
I see. Thx for the info
24/05/2017 12:20 — admin
I've removed that now, so the feed listing should be the same as the other listings.
24/05/2017 14:50 — shinchiro
nice ?
25/05/2017 06:06 *shinchiro
I'm testing again with feeds listing. Sometimes, the feeds are not updated even after the new entries listed download completely & already generate mirrors. I need to do hard refresh (ctrl+f5) to force update the feeds. Can u do something with it?
25/05/2017 10:27 — admin
How frequently are you observing this?
Cache time is set to a few minutes, so it shouldn't be more than a few minutes out (unless your system clock is behind).
25/05/2017 11:11 — shinchiro
I don't know how the feeds listing updating. If the feeds supposed to update instantly when new entries created, I can say it happen frequently with interval 10-~20 minutes of late from normal listing. Sometimes hard refresh doesn't work
25/05/2017 16:13 *shinchiro
hmm..I think I'm wrong. Normal feeds are instantly updated (atm) but search result's feed are not
26/05/2017 05:34 — admin
Ah, I see. The search index is updated every 20 minutes - this affects feeds as well as the search feature here.
26/05/2017 08:52 *shinchiro
Oh. Could it uses shorter interval, like ~5mins? :)
26/05/2017 11:39 — admin
Have reduced the interval, but I'll need to observe the effect on server load to see if it'll be kept there.
26/05/2017 19:44 — shinchiro
Thx
